Mark Rodgers Construction

After receiving the quote we decided to go with another company but would include this company on future bids due to the good and prompt service received.

We called several concrete companies listed on Angie's List. Mark got back with us the same day. He came out within 2 days to give us an estimate. His price was very competitive with other companies. He always showed up when he said he would. We were extremely pleased with Mark and his crew. He was very easy to communicate with. He was very professional and pleasant to work with. He and his crew always cleaned up at the end of each day. We have given his name to several friends. We would definitely hire Mark do do another job for us. Actually, we've already asked him to do a job for us in August. :0) Our garage floor looks so nice....several neighbors have commented on it. We are very pleased.

It was easy.. I called got an estimate..he did the work agreed upon and not I have a great patio! No headaches at all. I will Have Mark comeout when I upgrade my driveway

Mark and son Joe were very professional and knowledgeable throughout the process, which involved coordinating with another contractor who constructed a privacy fence on the apron next to the garage. They did excellent work and the result is even better than we had visualized.

I was renovating an old pool and needed to have new coping put around the top of the pool. This raised the top of the pool 3" which necessitated tearing out the patio, decking and sidewalk to the patio and having it repoured so that all was 3" higher to match the new top of the pool. Mark arrived on time to give an estimate and was very knowledgable about concrete in general and pouring concrete around a pool. I wanted stamped colored concrete and Mark was able to explailn to me why that would not be a good idea around a pool. So we went with a brushed finished concrete and I'm very glad we did as it looks great. The company that was renovating the pool broke up the old concrete, brought in the gravel and created the forms for pouring, but Mark checked all of their work to make sure it met his specifications before he brought any concrete on sight. Because of rain delays with the pool company's work we had to push Mark's work back twice, but when we were finally ready Mark was able to schedule us within 8 days; he poured and finished the concrete on Day 1 and it was a great deal of concrete given that the patio is about 20 feet and the pool is 36 feet long. The next day he returned and made the cuts in the concrete and cleaned everything up. The concrete is beautiful and has no cracks which I was very worried about. He also did the cuts in a very simple but nice pattern and had me present so I could agree with the design. He did an amazing job cleaning up including hosing off all of the patio furniture, grill cover, fencing, landscaping that was coated with concrete dust from the cuts that had to be made. He even raked up the debris from the removal of the forms and hauled all of that away. I was very impressed with Mark's work and would highly recommend him for concrete work.

He did an excellent job. He poured the sidewalk in such a way that the water wouldn’t go into the garage. He found a problem that we didn’t know that was there. A part of the sidewalk was cracking because there wasn’t enough foundation in there. Then he put the rocks in the foundation. We had already paid for the job and it wasn’t in the contract, but he went ahead and did it. We liked their job. It was him and his son. If need be, then I would use their services again.

The services provided were exactly according to our estimate and contract. Mark Rogers returns calls promplty and comes out for estimates in a timely fashion. The men came out at the time stated and completed the job quickly and properly.

The estimate and work was done in a timely manner. We called fro an estimate and he returned the call within a day. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. He described the work he would do and followed through. The day he said they would begin the work, when I left my home in the morning we had an old, deteriorating asphalt drive and when I came home we had a great looking concrete drive. Other than the new drive you would not have been able to tell any work had been done; no debris, no damage to the lawn. He did not ask for any money up front. We would recommend his service to everyone.

He was honest. He let us know that we need a leveler. He did not sell me something I didn't need.

I decided to go another route with our driveway, but this company was great to work with. Their estimates was competitive, they were very responsive and provided an estimate within a week. Their customer interface is exceptional. I will definitely consider them for any future concrete work.

My request was via email, it was responded to professionally and completed via email within 2 days. The estimate felt high to me--so the "C" is based on what they estimated compared to what a friend suggested would be reasonable--their price may be perfectly reasonable, but since they were they only one out of 4 estimate requests to even respond, I'm not sure how the price truly compares to the "'going rate".

The lady in their office called me in about an hour of me leaving a message. She called back again that evening and was very nice and arranged for the owner to come and do the estimate. When he came out he gave me good ideas about a couple differnt things. He went over the details of his plan completely. He was very nice and professional. His estimate was higher than the other one I received.

One of our trees blew over, and the roots wrecked the sidewalk. I called several concrete people. I chose this one because of his professionalism. I really liked him. The job went well. It was fabulous. I would use him again. My insurance covered the whole job.

They had extremely very high quality of workmanship. The driveway that they put down was a work of art. I had neighbors coming over and complimenting me. I would definitely use them in the future.

Mark Rodgers personally came out to give an estimate. He was extremely honest and forthcoming about the process and provided a lot of insight on the right approach to take with our driveway. He actually came a week earlier than he quoted me and removed the driveway in one day. Due to weather, the pouring of the new driveway was delayed by a day but he finished this in a single day as well. The quality was excellent and both he and his sons were completely professional. Our driveway looks great. He even realized that I overpayed (there is a discount for Angie's List customers) and sent me a check for the difference. I would absolutely use his company again.

In summary Mark's services and final product showed me that here was a professional man that provided the highest level of integrity in performance of a A#1 quality job. As indicated above Mark provided me several options as he was nearing the end of tearing down my poor DIY effort. He spent about 1-2 hours working on constructing the forms to actually show me the different options based on what I left behind due to my DIY effort. I was very pleased with the accepted solution since it addressed my overall concerns with creating a "user-friendly" front entrance. Before the concrete arrived Mark and I shared information about our backgrounds. This was a wonderful and welcomed time to know the contractor that was providing me a service. During the creation of the steps Mark provided me with information on what was being done. Mark was being assisted by his son (Joe) and they both were making every effort to treat my property with the up most care. Of course as I watched from beginning to end they treated the entire process and product as if it was thier own house. At the end it was VERY apparent that the new steps did create the "user-friendly" entrance I was hoping for when I started my DIY project. It is my opioion that Mark went up and beyond the "call of duty" to help me when I was in a bind (more than one way). So as a Angie List member I highly recommend Mark Rodgers for not only jobs related to porch steps but any other categories he is listed under within Angie Lists.

They are very good. He has been excellent to work with. His price was reasonable and overall they are very good people.

Contacted Mark's office on a Wednesday and he came out the next Saturday and gave me a hand written estimate that day and described in detail how the job would be performed and what design options I had . He followed up with a computerized formal estimate (same information as the one on Saturday) the following week. His estimate was similar to other contractors but he came across as more professional and had a better idea of how to meet my unique situation. Once I selected Mark he scheduled the job and then completed the job as scheduled in two days as we had agreed upon. I was very impressed with Mark's attention to detail that I believe really made a difference in the finished job. He described the work as he went along to be sure I understood what was going on.He is very dedicated and wanted to be sure the finished job met his standards and that I was completely satisified. I am very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him.

The work went smoothly and infact i am going to use him again. He was prompt, professional, and very nice. I would recommend him to others.

Called the listed phone number and set a date for an estimate. They arrived as agreed and provided an estimate that was reasonable. Other two companies seemed like they really weren't interested in the job. They returned at the agreed time and date to begin the work. The work was done in journeyman's fashion and time. Good experience. Great family. I will hire them for my next concrete job.

Mark could not have been more professional. Communication was great when trying to get the quote scheduled and he showed up prepared and on time. Mark brought up many good points about the project (dyed concrete fading, not drilling into the house foundation, etc) that other concrete companies failed to mention. His quote came in much higher (~$700) than other concrete contractors so we did not end up selecting his bid for the project. I would have totally trusted him to do a great job on the project and will include him in the quotation process in future projects we have.

Probably the best home improvement experience I have had. This company is top notch. They were on time every day, cleaned up after every work day, and most of all did a fantastic job on our new driveway. Mark Rodgers is the hardest working, most honest individual I have ever encountered in my 50 plus years of hiring home improvement companies. For any future cement work my one and only call will be to Mark Rodgers Construction.

Horrible. It was apparent upon completion that Mark Rodgers Construction had absolutely no expertise in colored concrete. The color was streaky and uneven with gray showing through in places - it was almost as if the dye had not been uniformly mixed throughout the concrete. Cracks developed early in the concrete and actual "chunks" came off. Mark Rodgers was unwilling to fix it other than "painting it" with a new dye. That was done and it has since flaked off in multiple places. We endured a lengthy process in an attempt to recover a portion of our money which involved opinions from 2 concrete engineers, both of whom concurred that it was an incompetent job. We had to hire an attorney and finally after several years settled out of court. We are in the process of obtaining estimates to replace it. It was a colossal waste of money. Mark Rodgers Construction absolutely did NOT provide a full refund and his response is clearly a lie. After the botched job on the colored concrete (that is why they longer use dye in their concrete), he fought us every step of the way and it was only after we hired an attorney and threatened litigation that we recovered around 55% of the money we spent on the driveway and well less than half of our money if you include lawyers fees. If he had done what he said in his response and admitted he did a terrible job and given us a full refund, we would have never filed the report on Angies List and saved thousands of dollars and years of hassle.

We called Mark Rodgers about doing some foundation repair on a home for a client. We?d found a few possible companies to do the work through Angie?s List searches, and made some calls and left some messages. Mark responded immediately, and agreed to meet with us asap as there was a time schedule and deadlines to be met. He carefully determined what things needed to be done, and had a written estimate prepared quickly thereafter. There were actually a few different people who had input on this situation, but no one questioned Mark?s findings, recommendations and estimate. The work was quickly and professionally completed, and we?d also note that Mark went out of his way to understand and accommodate the needs and concerns of all involved. When it comes to expertise, flexibility, performance and customer service, Mark and his company certainly are a cut above and then some.
