I thought Holzheimer did a nice job of overseeing the construction phase of the project; however, the decorating was horrific. I wanted their assistance in repurposing my living room and dining room furniture into the new space. My previous house was professionally decorated 2-years ago and I like the furniture and accessories and I wanted to reuse them. Their first recommendation was to buy all new furniture which I didn?t want to do and we had a recalibration meeting. Following which, I placed my trust in their expertise and went with their recommendations which include a couple of new pieces of furniture, painting, new artwork and accessories. One of the accessories they recommended was a custom rug from India which cost $4K and it is the ugliest rug I have ever seen in my life. (Public opinion, nobody likes the rug.) The rug doesn?t match the space and sticks out like a soar thumb. I wanted to return the rug but Holzheimer refused say it was a custom order and even though they recommended. In my opinion, Holzheimer Interiors does not listen nor respect their customers and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Interior design, construction and decorating of my dining room, living room and office space which included the demolition of the office and opening the space into an open floor plan.

Holzheimer Interiors has been a respected name in the industry for over a hundred years. Contrary to what this particular individual has written, Holzheimer Interiors has always listened and responded to all our client’s needs and wants. This particular member was moving from another state, so one suggestion instead of having the high costs of moving all her large items was to replace a few key pieces. Her decision was to stay with her existing furniture. We actually used every piece of furniture and accessory this client had. The only furniture that was added was an ottoman, a desk, which gave additional purpose to the room, a cocktail table, and some pillows. The area rug was a custom handmade rug. As with all jobs, we provided a sample for the client’s approval. The sample was approved, as with every element of the project from the paint, fabric, and furniture. As with all our clients, accessories are put in and accepted on an approval basis. If you do not like a particular accessory or artwork or it does not fit with your budget, we take it back. She did not ask for a single accessory to be returned. The construction work was done by Amish workers, so you couldn’t get a better price if you tried. The construction costs were invoiced as quoted. The client asked for additional items, such as a small bar, after the original quote and therefore there were added costs. As with any project, we want our clients to be satisfied and happy with the end result. We did not hear any dissatisfaction other than at the end of the project with the area rug. As always, we keep in constant contact with our clients to make sure they are pleased. Throughout the project we received emails from this client stating that “The house is coming along great!”, “Very exciting!”, “I love the floor boards! They look great!”, “I can’t believe the progress David is making!”, “I can’t believe it will be done so soon!”. All the exclamation points and positive feedback throughout the project gave us the impression of a job done right and in a timely manner.
