Purchased the $55 deal for sump pump check. They did the check, found leak in the out pipe and reinstalled a new one. They were extremely nice and explained everything to me. The price to do the fix was a bit on the high side for my taste for 10 mins of work, but that would be my only gripe. I will still use Sals, I love most of their techs.

I purchased the $79.00 tune up but my unit required more repairs than were covered under that special. The provider took the practical approach of applying my $79 to the price of the required services, kept me apprised of the cost of each service that he recommended, and performed all services correctly. He called 30 minutes before arrival as advertised and completed a lengthy morning appointment in time for me to be at work just after lunch.

The technician was on time and very prompt. He gave an excellent explanation of the problem and fixed it in a timely manner

Everything was completed as promised. No problems.

We were told that we would receive a call 1/2 hour before they were to arrive, which happened. We were able to arrive at the home prior to the service men. The toilet was installed and there were no problems. We were told that there was a 1 year warranty for parts and service. The next day another vendor (who happens to be my neighbor) was doing some A/C work in the house and noticed that there was water leaking from underneath the newly installed toilet into the basement. I called Sal's to inform them of this and asked that they come back out and check out this. They told me that there would be a service call charge, I told them that they just installed the toilet the day before and we should not be charged, the girl agreed to send someone out. It was scheduled for the following Tuesday 7/14. We asked if they could come later in the day, since we were at work and there would not be anyone at the home. They agreed and said we would receive a call 1/2 hour prior to arrival. On 7/14, I received a call from Dennis their service man at around 9:30 in the morning, asking if I was at the house (thinking he was early and on his way) and I told him I was not. He told me that he had already check the toilet and found no problems. I asked him how he was able to get access to the home and he said there was an elderly gentleman at the home who let him in. ( I found out later that my neighbor had gone there to finish up the A/C work). Dennis then informed me that there was a 50.00 charge and insisted on a credit number over the phone. I told him I would not be paying this and he would have to have the office call me or try and send a bill. I was also upset that he called and asked if I was at the home when in fact he was already there and knew I was not, he just wanted to have a credit card number. He then left a bill for me in the garage next to an item that I had put there the day before and when I arrive at home I found the bill and the item gone. I cannot prove that he took the item but I believe that. He also wrote on the bill that if the $50.00 was not paid then the warranty would be void. I called the office and spoke to Jim who is one of the managers and told him to void the warranty as I would not call them ever for service again. He said he was sorry and needed to talk to Sal regarding this matter. He also made excuses in regards to the missing item. Since then I young lady called asking me if I was satisfied with the service and I told her I was not but did not want to discuss further and told her to talk to Jim. I will not use this company again and am disappointed that I was referred to them through an Angie List deal.

Scott came out ot look over my HVAC system and offered several solutions to address my issue (upstaris not getting adequate cooling or heating). I also asked about a light / vent install in the shower. Still mulling things over, but Sal's is a company I would do business with.

The handle on our outdoor faucet was broken, but still worked. Not knowing what was involved in replacing it, we bought The Big Deal -- $69.00 for the Outdoor Hose Faucet Replacement. The serviceman unscrewed the broken faucet, screwed on the new one, and that was that. It was something we could have easily done ourselves. He did exactly what the deal described, but if we had known it was that simple we never would have purchased it at that price. Bottom line -- They performed exactly what they were supposed to do, but this is one Big Deal we felt was overpriced.

Procedure was fine. Spent $99 on the groupon and another $500 on the jetting. (Estimates) The price seemed high to me, but I was told that the big jet on the special truck is expensive. I would use provider again if we decide to put in back valve.

They came at agreed time, assessed what was needed for our house and needs, didn't try to sell a more expensive product from what was purchased with the Big Deal, explained a few things they needed to do since previous unit was so old (from 1960), made appt for install, came on day promised, all up and running before they left, cleaned up and were very professional. Even advised on an electrical problem at the box not related to a/c install that must have been there since home purchased. Could be dangerous so we had electrician fix later.

They are professional and accommodated my schedule. They didn't leave a mess and did what they were supposed to do. I would recommend their service.

I purchased a coupon through Angie's list as a brand new member. This was my first ever use of this referral service. I was to supply certain parts which was covered with me when I made the appointment. I bought the wrong part (wrong size)! Art waited while I ran to the store for the needed part! We were done within the time specified by the coupon I purchased through Angie's List. Art was gracious, encouraging and efficient. I will definitely use this service again, and ask for Art!

Wonderful. They are as good as all the reviews say they are. I needed 2 things done at my condo where my daughter and her 4 children live so I bought the Angie's List coupon for a service call plus one hour for $59.00. I thought maybe the drain needed to be snaked. But Tiger was able to unclog the drain by removing the top of the drain and that's where all the clogged hair and dirt was causing the problem. He then was able to install the toilet. It looks great. I was worried that it would take longer than an hour because I also had a hair appointment scheduled that afternoon that I didn't want to miss. He was out in under an hour with everything fixed to perfection. So happy with Sal's.

I was really impressed with their work! They were very neat. I was very happy with the service. I'm hiring them again for another job!

Immaculate service and fast. Friendly crew, great clean up. Some lingering uncertainty about the city inspection because they did not do an overflow tank, which my city requires.

One of their guys called us right away to talk to my husband about the water heater. He didn't not want us to try to relight it, before letting it dry out. Otherwise, it might have destroyed the circuitry. He told my husband he'd come the next day, but I decided to call the main office to check we were on the schedule, to be sure. We weren't, but they accommodated us anyway. After that was done, we discovered that the drain in our basement had been clogged when the storm sewer backed up. So, they came out again to snake it, 2 days later. I bought one of their $99 drain snaking offers. I can't speak for how well drain snaking should go, but they pulled some weird and gross stuff out of there. I applaud them for the gross work they do. We've used them before for our new AC install and garbage disposal install. We have been pleased, so far.

I thought they were prompt and quickly diagnosed the issue. However they needed to come back 2 addl. times after the motor did not fit becAuse the measurements were off. A full week later the motor was replaced and so far, so good. Techs were friendly and showed up at the pre-arranged time.

The plumbers were extremely polite and took the time to answer all my questions.

It went very well. The plummer arrived on time and worked quickly to cut out old faucet and replace with a newer and easier-to-use ball valve. I was pleased with the service and will use them again.

Could not have went better. Already planning using them in future.

I made an appointment and had a fellow come out and give an estimate for new A/C. The estimator was professional, discussed options, and proceeded to supply a reasonable quote on the spot. A week or so later I called the office with follow up questions. The man I talked to in the main office comes across as someone who is not interested in talking to customers. After some discussion, I asked for the estimator to call me. After 3-4 days, no response. Again I called the same office and this time talked to a young girl. She said she would pass along the information and that I should hear from the estimator within a day or so. 2 weeks later still no response. They appear uninterested in making a sale. Needless to say my business went elsewhere. FOLLOW UP 8/5: After this review, I was contacted two times, and then once by the owner. After discussing the issue, Sal stated to me that this should never have happened. The company appears to have a good reputation, but in this instance they had failed. Sal seemed legitimately concerned and did what he could to make things right. Changed rating from D to C since no service was performed.

It went well. They did as much as they could given the situation. Heads up to Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights and South Euclid residents (anyone with a 50+ year old house): if your plumbing hasn't been updated and you have a clog chances are you have whats called a drum trap . This means most plumbers will not snake your drain due to the high risk of a snake getting trapped in the narrow passages of the drum trap. The solution is to cut the drum trap out since trying to open it up to clean it usually results in a replacement with a P trap anyways. Not a knock on Sal's (they were punctual and professional), just trying to save you the reader a few bucks if you got an old home!

Plumber was punctual, professional, helpful, polite I would hire them again

Tech - Mike Griffin, was on time. Nice, seemed to know what he was doing. He had another tech with him for this job. My complaint: Tracked mud on carpet, slyly persuaded me to buy a drain tray, which was not brought up in conversation prior to work order. They used our body towels to clean up their mess. Our towels were in our dirty laundry area, which is by the hot water tank area. They did not ask if they could use these towels. My husband (Terrance) found the dirty towels after the work was completed and they had left.

I was disappointed with the amount of money it would cost to fix the tub. They however fix my toilet and it is working properly. I did not want to pay to have to tub fixed, so I was upset. The owner called and expressed to me how sorry he was about me being upset and offered me a refund for the amount I already paid.

Very professional and courteous. Above expectations!
