They were terrible and awful. I tried to get money back on the deal and I did not get it. They had people loan the job that was not needed and that extra guy ended up costing me more money. They costs was more that they said.

Hello Member, We did not replace your Kitchen but replaced your kitchen trap and sink. We honored the coupon and only charged $169 for the additional work clearly not on the coupon. You signed off on all the work done by both men that were indeed needed. This was the deal of the century, other being completely included with the coupon, I am not sure what more a customer would expect. This work was way above and beyond the offer and clearly noted in the fine print. Thanks you for the feedback and business. Sal

Good. No issues. I think they came a little later around November. They did kind of a so so job. I think they replaced one and we had two. They couldn't get to the other one very well. They were telling me they would have to cut through the aluminum siding so we still haven't got that replaced. We don't know if that's the best way to go about it. They did what they could which was replace faucets outside. We were going to have them replace two but they only did the one. They said they couldn't get to the water line very well. It was hard for them to get to the water line so they only did the one.

There were 2 incidents with this company. They were part of a television auction where we purchased a hot water heater. The installation was just fine, the product was just fine. Then there was another incidents where we purchased another for $250 or 2 hours of plumbing work with no exceptions. When we went to redeem that coupon, they refused to honor it for a sewer snaking. We went back and forth for at least 2 weeks and they refused to honor it. We had had very good service and decided to use them for the third time and were very dissatisfied with their customer service and don't intend to use the company again.

Member, lets make sure we get the facts straight, it is a radio auction with very explicit restrictions and qualifications and at any time you the purchaser or highest bidder cant get a full refund. You can not be the highest bidder and hope and pray we the company make an exception for you when it clearly says NO EXCEPTIONS. There are lots of restrictions with the two hour plumbing as it don't say 2 hour drain cleaning or snaking it says plumbing. We would honor the plumbing but not the snaking or drain cleaning because that is NOT what was purchased and it is a completely different service and needs an expensive sewer machine. I am not sure what more anyone could expect, if you refer or read what you get you will see that it is in big bold print EXCLUDES DRAIN CLEANING AND SNAKING. Did I miss something? I could scan and post the deal if this site would allow but it don't, so you will need to take my word for it. This review is clearly a case of I did not get my way so now I will not be truthful to attempt to make a great company look bad. Sorry Member, not this time, not ever. I wrote the restrictions and I read them and I know what they say and I believe you do also. Please go get a refund so someone else can use the offer for what it is clearly intended for. Thanks, Sal

He arrived on-time. He replaced the outdoor faucet and replaced a piece of pipe in the garage. This had been a non-working faucet for quite a while due to a break in the elbow piece of pipe. He didn't even charge any extra for the small piece of pipe that was replaced. He worked quickly and efficiently and thanks to him I was able to use my outdoor faucet this summer. I would definitely use them again for repairs.

The service professional was helpful, honest and courteous. My only complaint is that the window for service was all day, and, due to a system error with my contact info, I was not called until 5pm to notify me that the servicer was coming out. While they did a good job, I probably won't use them again because of the unpredictable scheduling.

We call on the way for your convenience but on time appointments are impossible and can only be done 1st thing in the morning as like you said unpredictable times and translation means unpredictable repairs. We must serve the customer we are working for and we will not cut them short to make an appointment time so make it 1st thing in the AM and we can maybe solve your concern. I purchased a deal from Sal's on Angies List and they did a nice job. They were professional and pleasant. My only complaint was that I had to wait all day for them to arrive. My first clue should have been the receptionist's advise that I should make my check out to "Cash." But, despite my academic and professional success, I laughed the comment off as coming from a rogue receptionist with a different sense of humor. Let me disclaim that I was definitely ignorant of the workings of our 1970s boiler / baseboard heater system when I first contacted Sal's, but thankfully I was not financially destitute or unable to critically think. Otherwise I believe I would have unnecessarily spent thousands of dollars following the advice that Sal's employees gave me. During our first winter in our new home, after we sunk $25k into repairs, improvements and mold remediation on our short sale home, I purchased a deal on Angie's List for an HVAC inspection for our boiler....yes, you read that correctly. I described our system to the best of my ability at the time, and was told they could inspect it under the deal. Of course, I was working 60hrs/wk at the time, and was helping to raise a 1 year old, so I had a very limited understanding of our system, and unfortunately that was quite apparent when the tech arrived and performed the inspection on our boiler / baseboard heater system, and charged us a fee for the inspection ... because, of course, it was not an HVAC system at all. I contacted Sal's about this and Sal himself graciously refunded the amount I paid for the deal, after disparaging Angie's List for not including some fine print that was supposed to have been included in the deal. Despite our clean inspection, one of our 5 zones would not shut off, so they sent someone out for free to complete the inspection I had paid for. The tech who came out was very thorough and identified the previous tech's oversight, isolating a broken thermostat as the cause. But, rather than advising us to spend $30 on a replacement thermostat, he advised us to shut the zone down. Around the same time (on our own and seeking to save energy), we had shut down the zone that supplied our finished basement and our uninsulated garage, again, not fully understanding the system. Of course the pipe burst in the garage a few weeks later. Sal's had one of their general managers come out to take a look, for free to their credit, and despite my explanation of our objective to heat only the basement and not the garage, he advised us to replace the burst pipe with the same fin pipe that had burst, at an estimated cost of several thousand dollars ... a solution that would have inevitably led to the same outcome, and wasted energy in the process. Fortunately, we did not follow that advice and had a handyman friend of ours take at the damage. He advised us to wait out the winter without the non-essential zone and, once the weather warmed up, replace the burst pipe in the garage with pipe rated for exterior applications. Several months later, I noticed a moist area on the floorboards from the basement that I attributed to the pipes supplying heat to the bedrooms. I made the ill-advised decision (again, completely on my own) to shut that zone down, which of course coincided with one of the coldest nights that winter, when we happened to be out of town. Needless to say, the bedroom pipes froze, so I called Sal's yet again. The same tech who came out the second time relatively quickly and efficiently identified the area of pipe that was frozen, informed us that there was nothing they could do, and essentially advised us to call them when the pipe burst. Yes, that's right... they advised us to call them when the pipe burst .... not to shut the zone down to prevent the subsequent flooding. They advised this as they were triaging calls regarding an elderly man in a similar situation who had heeded their advice and whose pipes had burst, flooding the house. We did our best in the interim to unfreeze the pipe, but failed. On an early spring day that was forecast to be one of the first warm days of the spring and on which we had plans that would have us out of the house for most of the day, I inexplicably had a last minute impulse to shut that bedroom zone down again. When we returned later that evening, I turned the zone back on and immediately heard my wife calling downstairs to shut the water off because water was streaming from a pipe in our 1 year old's bedroom. Had we heeded Sal's advice, we could have very easily returned to a flooded home that evening. Thankfully, at least I finally learned my lesson and, rather than calling Sal's again, called our friend who came out that day and replaced the damaged pipe for $100. We have not had any issues since. I also got some free advice from the folks at Home Depot, and for less than $200 I replaced the burst garage pipe with Pex pipe and Shark Bite fittings, with insulation and heat tape for good measure, and also replaced the broken thermostat. I believe that instead of spending a few hundred dollars on these repairs, we would have spent thousands of dollars on less effective solutions, while risking potentially catastrophic and expensive damages if we had followed this company's advice. No thanks to Sal's, all 5 zones are up and running so far this year, with no issues at all. As you can tell, I might be a bit gullible. I'm usually willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, and am therefore a pretty loyal customer. e.g., ...the receptionist just had a off sense of humor ... the first tech just missed the problem because he was an HVAC tech ... the second tech just assumed that the other 4 zones would sufficiently heat the house without replacing the broken thermostat ... I just didn't explain well enough to the general manager that we didn't want to heat an un-insulated garage ...the tech just didn't remember to tell us to shut the zone down to prevent flooding ... etc. In isolation, any of these would have been perfectly reasonable conclusions to draw. But with Sal's, a pattern clearly started to emerge. Call it what you will ... all I know is that I can't in good conscience recommend that anyone hire this company. I just thank God that $402.25 is all we wasted...

Member, After reading your complaint and completely understanding my trade and anyone who reads this that does knows this is exaggerated. Boilers fall under the HVAC trade and Hydronics which I carry both State licenses for. Frozen pipes on a boiler system are simply doomed and will need to be replaced. I don't recommend your friends cheapo Depot solution. The boiler lasted 15 plus years with the correct parts and froze because the water stopped moving. Simple as that. Rather then run up the invoice even higher we left as our hands were tied. These last 2 winters were brutal and I understand you are looking for someone to blame other than Jack Frost but let's be real here, this was repaired in better conditions and it don't sound like it was correct, but only a quick cheap fix. I apologize for not being able to help you at the time but the conditions would not allow us to. Thanks for the business and feedback and wish you well with your repair. Sal

First tech arrived on time , looked at hose bib and stated that the deal wasn't for a "frost free". My husband told him that it didn't matter, we would like it replaced with a regular faucet. The leaking was inside. He denied and left. I emailed a complaint and was told that it was stated in ad that it was not for a frost free. It was not stated in the ad that I responded to. I didn't even know that ours was a frost free. Company agreed to come out and replace with a Shark Bite Fitting which has served us well. Thank you Roy and Robbie !!

Tige and Man supposedly checked capacitor contactor and tightened all electrical connections. They checked filter and added 1lb of Freon because we paid for it.( stated we didn't need it) They also changed all our ceiling fan rotations for summer. On 7/28 our air conditioner quit working. Josh came out 7/29 and replaced bad capacitor. (He said the condition of the capacitor should have been noted and suggested for replacement due to appearance at clean & check. He also noted that the coils needed cleaned and did so. Josh then changed the blower speed from medium to high and checked charge. He stated that he thought the $50 service call and possible the 1/2 hour labor charge of $45 should be reimbursed since the work wasn't done properly to begin with. He also stated that he did send a note to the company in those regards. We have never heard anything back from the company. Josh was very knowledgeable and professional. The first techs, not so much and could have saved us a very uncomfortable night with severe diabetes and heart disease. Air conditioning is very important to us and is why we purchased the check to begin with. .
