I had used Sal's in the past and had mixed results. I used them again to replace a pipe in my house and while the replacement of the pipe went well, it managed to clog up my kitchen sink. I was told to call and have Moen send me a new cartridge which they did free of charge, Love Moen. When the person came back to replace the cartridge they charged me more to replace it. This was surprising to me as I wouldn't think I should pay to have my faucet fixed if it worked before the repair. I paid, sure enough, it did not fix it. I was told to replace the whole faucet (only a two year old faucet mind you,) I did not. I let the technician go and took it apart, soaked it in CLR and put it back together... worked like new and continues to work months later. Likely solder or flux had clogged the fauecet during the install of the pipe. The tech would hear nothing of this of course and I hate having to argue with someone who is charging me while we argue. I won't be using Sal's in the future as they are very technician dependent on service. I had a great experience when I had an emergency issue on plumbing but again. Depending on who they sent.

The experience with them was pretty good. When they came out to assess the issue they had to order the motor and come out a second time. The second time they came out it was the wrong motor. So they came back a third time so I had to reschedule and go through that sort of thing. That was the only issue. It was not horrible, but it was not the best either. To improve they could have had the right fit the first time around instead of having to come out a third time. Earlier they actually installed my central air so that was why I called them out. I did not have any other problems other than coming out to the house on three separate days.

They did well. Since city is now doing this form of cleanout, I will not be calling them for the service in the future.

Everything was completed within one hour. The workers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Sal's honored my coupon that had expired in 2014!

Went well! However, I would recommend that they clean up outside as well as they did inside. Left plumbing debris & cigarette butt in grass.

The actual installation was okay; unfortunately they hadn?t asked what kind of water I had before installing it?because I have well water I would have needed a rod installed and it is now more difficult to get it in. We set it up ahead of time for them to come out and install the rod, and they were going to just increase the labor charge and come out and do it while I was at work yesterday, and so I left my garage door open. I called them yesterday to see how the work was going because I hadn?t heard from them yet, and just received a call back today. I found out that the dispatcher called the gentleman who was supposed to come out and told him to not come out and to just go home since I wouldn?t be there while they did the work. When I spoke with them today to find out why they didn?t let me know they weren?t coming out and doing the work as they said they would, Skip, the laborer, told me that they wouldn?t do the work if I wasn?t there to immediately pay the bill; I would have gladly paid for the cost of the rod if they had asked me originally if I had well water (which they didn?t) and so now they?ve blamed me for this additional work. He has the customer service of a porcupine. I will have another local, dependable contractor do the work and then sue them for the difference in cost.

The first one they put on failed after a few months. They were great about coming back out and replacing it. We have had no other problems.

Unit, equipment and supplies as advertised. Manufacturer changed nameplate which caused confusion but model number matched offer. There were issues with unit leveling and workmanship of pad placement. Sal sent a person to correct but the remedy repeated poor practice already utilized and was refused. Company was responsive to communications but never felt leveling issue was due to installation practices. Blame placed on landscape slope. Great price, good equipment and marginal installation.

New Hot Water Tank installed. Moved it a bit to make it easier to work on furnace as well

2 Plumbers came late in the afternoon. Very thorough and even did a little extra at no charge.

Overall everything went well. I've used Sal's in the past and everything has gone wonderfully. They inspected the pipes and made recommendations to fix the problem. The only negative thing that happened is the older of the two gentlemen kept yelling the other man. This made my wife uncomfortable and we decided to have someone else take a look and fix the problem we had.

Everything worked out great. They're always very helpful.

Ray, Sals plumber corrected the problem and identified it immediately. Ray is the first plumber to immediately identify the problem and correct it. See above remarks - they cover it.

Excellent customer service! Went above and beyond to take care of my needs

There aren't a lot of details to relate. Mike called about a half hour ahead of time to let me know just when they would be arriving. He and Jake arrived on time. When they entered my home, they donned shoe covers. After I showed them where the furnace was located and told them where the heat pump was outside, the two men got to work. They worked steadily and left the work area clean and neat when they were finished. They placed the extra filter I had purchased (buy one, get one for half price) in the utility closet. Both men were friendly and professional. Mike took time to show me how to set my thermostat to use gas only, if that is ever what I wanted to do. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely use this company again.

Sal's Heating called out because 6 yr old furnace did not work. Technician informed me that all parts were covered under warrantee and replaced with new motor, labor charge only. Up and running in less than two hours. Next day I called to report a noise from furnace and they came out and fixed problem that day no charge. Very professional and explain every step they are performing. Already referred Sal's to other family members and they too are very satisfied with excellent service.

Technicians were very helpful and friendly. Good value for the price. The only issue we had was that it took quite a while to get an appointment scheduled as they were not returning our calls very promptly. They were very apologetic once we called this to their attention and scheduled quickly after that. We have used them several times since then for plumbing issues and have had no issues.

It turned out to be okay. We don't have anymore leakage problem. I think they tried to charge me a little bit higher than I thought. They asked for like seventy dollars more.

The sale went for $1,000 off about 3 days later and that angered me.

Great, found a small problem and fixed it fro a reasonable amount.

I am a repeat customer because of the ease of working with the company/Angie's List in having a drain snaked and cleaned. Thought I would repeat the same service on two more slow moving drains. After an agreed upon price and honoring of Angie's coupon, one drain would not be snaked as they didn't like the condition of the pipe. In a second drain, the snake got caught. After trying to free the snake after an hour, it was decided to cut the drain pipe open. A hole was made and then the snake removed. They wouldn't continue to snake. Finally decided to cut the drain and replace with pvc. A lot of time was wasted trying to decide what to do and how to cut the pipe. The pvc was assembled with adhesive applied sloppy. All pipes are visual, outside of wall. A $89 job turned into over $450. They were very quick to say they were not responsible for any problems with snake. I feel that they took their time. Second experience nothing like my first so I cannot trust them with another job. They really got a good deal of money when all I wanted was to use a Angie List deal

The installer was a nice young man, very pleasant. However, he became extremely agitated while trying to solder the pipe. He could not get all the water out of the pipe inside the basement and became very frustrated when he could not get the solder to take hold, due to the remaining water. To resolve the issue, he cut the pipe further back, anterior to the shut-off valve. He did this quickly, before I could say a word. Thus, I now have a potential point of failure - a soldered joint - anterior to the shut-off valve. I was very surprised that a plumber did not know the mechanism for removing water from a pipe in order to solder a joint. Someone at Sal's should enlighten this young man, or he can look it up on Google. It is knowledge he should have. Additionally, when he cut the pipe, water poured out, inside my basement, onto boxes and the floor. To be sure, not a lot of water, but one would think he would have known that water would exit the cut pipe and put a bucket underneath to catch it. I then got a bucket, which then became filled with solder splatches as he soldered. He did not attempt to clean this up, leaving it to me to do later. Also, he checked my whole system and noted the potential need in the near future for a new hot water tank. He was informative - noting I should save now because the time was coming soon when replacement would be required. He quoted a price of nearly $2000, for tank and installation. When I can buy a top-of-the-line hot water tank at a local hardware store - better (brand name, larger capacity) than the one quoted - for less than $700, I must question that cost estimate. I have done several plumbing jobs myself in the past and am not a novice in this regard. Additionally, I do my homework, comparing costs. I do not consider the estimate provided to be a viable solution for me. So, to recap: The installer presented a pleasant, personable demeanor. He became frustrated when completing the work which, I believe, then caused him to act rashly. He was not tidy in his work. The faucet installed works correctly, with no leakage noted. I found the cost of the faucet plus installation to be quite reasonable. I do not find the cost estimate provided for installation of a new hot water tank to be reasonable. I had expected better from a service provider on Angie's List. Overall, it was disappointing.

overall service was fine however i had confirmed verbally the bathroom tub would be caulked. later when they were about to leave and this was not done one gentleman said I had never said that. other gentleman commented I did say that and this person "was hard of hearing due to a gun shot near his ear." I chuckled however when I asked them to caulk the tub they demanded $80 for an extra hour in labor. I showed them the door and they appeared unhappy. I can't say I will use them again as it doesn't cost $80 to caulk a tub.
