The job was fine for a $98/ hour plumber. My complaint were the charges. When I called to make the appointment, I asked the question about the hourly rate. The woman I spoke with said I would be quoted for the job when the plumbers arrived. When I asked about this when the plumbers arrived, I was quoted the hourly rate. Seemed a double shuffle. I also needed some parts. I was charged $49 for two hoses which at the hardware would have cost less than $13. Since I needed 4 so I spent just under $100 on parts which should have been closer to $25. I doubt the discount coupon was worth it. Next time I will used someone else. I am left with the feeling the coupon was a rip-off.

The repair man tried his best and he gave a quote for a new furnace. A day or two later I received a phone call from a representative from the company and was given a price that was $1000. over what the repair man had given me. I asked about a coupon that was shown on their own website which indicated a price actually $2000. less. The person on the phone had to do a little back peddling and said they could do the job for the price on the coupon but I felt very unsure and a little distrustful. We decided on another company.

Very professional, they don't tell you something is wrong unless it is. good warranty and guarantee after they leave. they're always prompt and on time and give a 2 hr window. Very knowledgeable technicians.

Sal's came out quick and instead of costly replacement the tech was able to troubleshoot and find the problem. They got the part we needed and everything was done in a professional manner. And dare I say the area around our furnace was cleaner when they left then when they arrived!

Drain was snaked on October 13, 2016 and was slowly flowing ($100) after mechanical snaking of line. Technician recommended not to use washer and take short showers and recommended pressure jetting of line, he stated this would remove all roots and would provide temporary relief from tree root problem, jetting was done on October 17 at a cost of ($592) we understood roots could eventually come back. After jetting a camera was put down the drain - drain was flowing but roots were still visible, we were told all roots would be removed! Sal's now wants to dig up entire line and replace at a cost of $9,345.00. I videoed the monitor with my camera phone and provided video to another plumbing company - he asked why they only ran one small jet and not multiple jets to remove all roots, good question to ask Sal. Reply below from another plumber after viewing drain snaked by Sal's!!! Quote: "Gary! No problem. I'll get that main looking new! Our sewer jetting with video inspection is $625.00. After jetting you should get much longer usage in between cleanings. We also use a root treatment in our 300 gal holding tank. Those roots will close up soon." Sal's Plumbing never recommended a root treatment nor did they run multiple jets to remove all roots, shoddy work, will never use them again. $692 wasted and they now want $9,345 more for work that is not needed! Provider left me a vague invoice. Prior to scheduling service, I called to confirm what was included. I was assured everything was in order so I scheduled. Roughly half the work was done for the agreed upon price. The work failed the city inspection. I called and asked to speak to a manager. No call back for over a week. Called to schedule completion of work on my own and was billed and additional $600. The technician called immediately after they finished the work demanding payment over the phone. When I told them I would not pay until it passed inspection I received calls from a 'Manager' threatening to file mechanics liens, leave the plumber in the home over night and to rip out the plumbing. The work failed inspection the following morning. It has been an absolute nightmare.

There is always someone who answers the phone no matter when, what time, holiday whatever somebody always answer the phone and relate it to them and they get and schedule them quickly, they have been really quick.

I rated it a D only because I was double charged to snake a 1" home drain line. They had to come back out after a week with the same problem (cost $135 coupon) but said I had to pay to get it snaked again even though the first time the services did not correct my plumbing problem. I was charged $129 to snake again and this time I did see the water go down with a swirl so hopefully I will not need to get snaked soon. I am glad my problem was corrected but I did not agree with getting overcharged especially since I am a GOLD Angie member and should had received the 30 days guaranteed! This was my second time using Sal's services and I thought they did good work but after this experience I will not call them again for any other services.

They have always been wonderful! We use them for all HVAC issues.

Work was done to my expectations and satisfaction.

They arrived approximately 5pm. Said they were going to install water heater, expansion tank for $95 additional and a plastic drip pan for $76 additional. I informed them that I checked with the city building commissioner and was told I did not need the drip pan in an unfinished basement with a floor drain within 2ft of unit. Service man says no drip pan no water heater. It’s too late to call the city as they closed and if I knew it was going to be a money grab I could have purchased a water heater and installed it my self rather than sit at home all day waiting for them to arrive. Also the inspection failed because they failed to install the proper shut off valve. I appealed to the business owner saying I was not told nor is there anywhere on their web site mentioning this. He said I put a drip pan on every installation whether customer wants or needs it or not or city codes don’t require it. Lowe’s has a similar pan for less than $10.

Started with a problem in the estimate, but after a few phone calls it got resolved. The servicemen were excellent. Very professional and knowledge, removed the old unit and cleaned up all debris. Two day install of new unit but they made sure we had heat through it all. They always kept us informed throughout the entire install and upon completion reviewed their work and made sure we knew the operation and warranty. Cleaned up everything so you never knew they were there. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable; very professional.

They were supposed to come back and bring some bolts to hold down the toilet but they never came back. I would give them an F for responsiveness because they didn't respond back when I needed it done. They were pretty punctual. I doubt that I would use them again in future because of the way it ended.

They were very professional. It was very easy to discuss what we needed. When they actually came out to install, the guys who did the install were really nice and we got everything done quickly. We used them twice. Once we had the furnace and the air conditioner and once for the hot water tank.

They stated I need a whole new air conditioner and it turned out I did not. It needed some Freon added to it. They came out and tested the system. They basically said they had to run more tests but more likely I needed to get whole new system. It was very expensive. Luckily enough, the gentleman next door had heating and cooling experience. He had some Freon that he had put in there. It's been working since. They didn't really do any work other than testing the line and looking at they system. Their responsiveness was fine. They were on time.

They are very good, honest, and fair. I absolutely had no issues with them in any area.

We just had them back. I'm not happy with them right now. The system already broke down a year and half later and there was still a $250 service fee and it was only because we didn't get the extended warranty. I didn't think it would break a year and a half later and we would be spending $250 to fix it.

I have used them on multiple occasions and they have always done a wonderful job!

He never gave the paper for warranty only over the phone. He charged me for labor when he came to service the air conditioner. He told me I owe him. He never came to put in the freon. He gave it over to an authority trying to get the money. He is refusing to come out to service anymore. He is not honoring the 10 year warranty, and he is refusing to service me.

They were really good. I think their price was reasonable. So far, the quality is good. Their responsiveness was very good. They came when they said they would. They did not cancel. They showed up not like a lot of people that they do not. They were professional.

They didn't really explain much about what they were doing they only said I need a new furnace I had someone else come out and look at it and they said they are not seeing what Sal saw.

We got an estimate from Sal's that showed everything we needed to do with our pool including electrical wiring for our pool. Two men came out to make sure everything was okay and tell us where everything was going to be in the yard. And told us that they can't do electrical. I feel that these people were lying to us because I have an estimate that states they will be doing the electrical parts of setting up our pool. I would not use this company ever again.

They were fine. They did an okay job. I probably wouldn’t use them again but they were fine.

They were excellent. The service was very good. The service people were very polite and did a great job.
