I chose this company to replace my nonfunctioning furnace because of their high marks and a special they were running. However, I was not happy with the interaction I had with them. I was told that they would put the furnace in the next day after the proposal was written. I explained that they would have to be finished by 2:30 as I had to leave the house at that time. I have dogs and cannot leave them with strangers. I was told that it was not going to be a problem, that they would make sure the equipment was placed in the truck that evening and the men would be at my house first thing in the morning. After 10:00am rolled around and nobody was insight, I called them and learned that they had to go pick up the equipment that morning before they came. I again emphasized that I had to leave by 2:30 and they would have to be finished by then. Of course, at 2:30 they were not finished. They said that they would just finish working and lock up, but I could not allow that because of my dogs, so they had to leave and come back the next day. This all occurred during the time when we were in a single-digit weather pattern but I fortunately have a ventless gas fireplace that provided some heat. The men came back the next day to complete the job and they went into the box where I had my filter, took it out and replace the old one. When I told him that they were to put in their new filter, they said they were not. In the proposal, the man wrote, "Amana dust 80%? ( customer has new filter ? install new) filter, (need a 4 inch to 6 inch reducer)... MA not heat... I contacted the Company three times over the last month and a half inquiring about receiving the new filter. Each time I talked with the receptionist, very nice person, she said that I would be called back by the manager. I never did get that call but I called back today to ask for my new filter, I did talk with the manager. He said that he could understand what was written could be interpreted either that they were to put in my filter or that they were to provide a new filter. He said he would contact the person who wrote up the proposal to find out what was intended and call me back. He did call me back and said that they never intended to give me a new filter. I was very disappointed in the way that they responded when there was admitted confusion over what they were going to do. I have always run a business with the philosophy that when there is confusion like that, the customer is right. I will not be using this company again and cannot recommend them.

Oh my god it was wonderful. He was proffesional and fast. Funny too.. He fixed my drain in under 40 mins and also checked out my toilets and other pipes. Got me a deal on a new toilet. Going to get them to fix my other toilet and fix my other pipes this week. I highly recommend

All of the work they did was fine. I didn't have any problems with them and I would call them if I need them again. I would give them the highest rating.

The work needed additional plumbing to put in a valve in the water line, charged extra for this (regular plumbing rate/hr) and completed the job

Called on Friday with a reminder that they were coming on Monday. Johnny called about a half hour before arrival. Very friendly and professional. Took less than a half hour to cut the pipe in the basement and install new pipe and faucet. When he was done asked if I needed any other services and when I declined, absolutely no pressure.

As it turned out, although the shutoff valve appeared to be badly corroded, it otherwise worked just fine, which the servicemen quickly pointed out, much to my chagrin. Still, the service call I purchased through Angie's List didn't go to waste. They inspected the rest of my plumbing, and in general, pronounced all valves, pipes and fittings, good to go. So, at least, I bought myself some piece of mind, and $69 is not a lot of money invested to achieve that worthy objective.

It went well. There was a sufficient amount of work done to justify the $49 Angie's coupon. The service technican, Dimitri, was personable and helpful. After he completed the repairs, we discussed several issues involving re-siting existing ductwork to suit a remodeling project I'm considering in the future. He had some really good ideas, which actually would save me money, and weren't solely aimed at getting himself some additional work. I definitely appreciated that, and would judge his appraisal to be honestly given.

Installers were on time, professional and efficient. They were in and out very quickly with not wasted time. I was very impressed with their knowledge level as well. They patiently answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns.

I was very pleased with the technician's efficiency and skill. He was also very pleasant and explained everything I needed to know. The scheduling worked well, the clean-up was good...really, everything was excellent. I have not worked with Sal's Heating and Cooling before and would certainly recommend them and use them again.

Best. Plumber. Ever. As long as Tony is with Sal's he is the only plumber we ever want. He helped finish up the installation of a new vanity sink by reconnecting everything properly; installed a replacement kitchen faucet I had gotten under warranty from Moen; fixed a couple of dripping faucets, and since there was some time left, took a look at our plumbing overall and pointed out a problem that no one had ever mentioned before; and as soon as he pointed it out to us, it was SO obvious! He also gave us an estimate for replacing our basement floor drain, which I will have him do as soon as i have the money.

They said they were out of our range of service and didn't know why it was on Angie's list. I cancelled the service and need to get reimbursed.

Purchased deal from Angies list. Very professional. Was able to get an appointment in a timely manner. Replaced the faucet which fixed the water pressure. Repairman did suggest an upgrade to a frost free faucet fro an exter $125 which I declined.

They showed up for appointment on time and installed the disposer without any problems.

Anthony called to confirm the measured space for the replacement toilet in a small guest room before he came out. This is the second time Anthony has done work at our new condominium. He is very polite, VERY professional and considerate. He explains what he is doing and requests that you come and see what he has done. He is right on task and arrives when he says he will be here. Sal's Heating and cooling has a valuable employee in Anthony and we will ask for him again in a few months when we plan to renovate our Master Bath. Thanks Anthony!!! Thanks Sal!!!

The service was great. The two gentleman initially showed up and snaked the drain as we expected this to be the issue. Both were professional and quick about the work. When they found the leak in the pipe (these were very old galvanized pipes that I firmly believe were worn out not due to the drain snaking.) they were able to mitigate the damage caused and scheduled to come back and fix it another day. The estimate they gave during the first visit was very accurate for the work needed on the plumbing. They then sent out their repair man to quote the plaster repair (this is an old 1929 house in Shaker). He too was very accurate in his quoting and was able to do some other work that was needed at a very reasonable cost. Sal's seems like the big company that still prides itself on supplying high quality service when you need it. The communication was excellent and they were able to keep me up to date on any delays due to bad weather where they needed to send their people to perform emergency services. I will without a doubt use them again for my future plumbing needs.

The initial contact was an evaluation of the current furnace as well as to determine the type of new furnace that was needed. The second contact was to establish an appointment for installation. The installers were prompt and very professional. They cleaned up any mess and were very considerate.

We requested inspections from various other plumbers to repair a leak in our bathroom that moved down into the 1st floor laundry room and severely damaged the ceiling. The previous plumbers misdiagnosed the real problem and we ended up spending money caulk and seal tiles as the reason for the leak. Another plumber stated that I need to repair a pipe leak by tearing out my laundry room ceiling. Total cost was estimated at about $750. I did not want to pay that amount so I called Sal's Heating and Plumbing Service. Finally, Sal's Heating and Plumbing Service isolated the problem as a leaky shower head. I went out to purchase a shower head and they replaced it and tested within the timeline for the $99 special. We replaced our ceiling in the laundry room and months later, we haven't had a problem with leaks or damage. Sal's Plumbing contractors are professional, courteous and honest. They fixed the problem and offered recommendations on other work for replacing other leaky faucets.

The crew from Sal's was very professional and thorough. The upcharges associated with this work were reasonable given I had always had an electric tank in the past. They were able to tie into the gas main and install a branch to an existing flue very efficiently. The old electric tank was filled with sediment and took forever to drain. They ultimately just muscled it out of the basement with probably 30 gallons of water sloshing inside. They were friendly and answered all my questions about work as it progressed. I was very pleased with the quality of the work!

I called at 7:15 pm for a clogged main drain and they were there within an hour. Although they couldn't unclog it, they returned the next morning with the camera and jet cleaner and got it working.

Scheduling was easy and everyone from beginning to end was great. The technician arrived and inspected everything inside and outside for the AC. He showed me the condition of everything and areas of concern along with tips for maintaining the system (with how to do them and why). He was punctual, professional, and incredibly nice. I would highly recommend the company and the technician who came out.

The plumber was extremely kind, prompt and efficient. He replaced the faucet quickly and made sure I was satisfied with the results.

The first guys did the wrong thing but the owner sent them back and for the additional price of the part needed, they reinstalled without charging labor. I couldn't believe anyone would be that honest.
