My husband and I just moved into a house. Every time we flushed the toilet or took a shower, water and sewage was bubbling up the drain in the basement. I called Sal's and they sent someone out the same day. They snaked the drain and we were able to finally use the toilets again. They were very professional, prompt, and responsive to our needs.

The installation went well and was as described. The HVAC system installation took two days and the H2O heater took another day. The cleanup was done properly. Unfortunately two issues developed after the work was completed. The first was associated with the water supply. The day after the water heater installation was completed a very deep and prolonged "growl" in the water pipes began. The noise was intermittent and not associated with any particular water appliance. We called SALs and they sent their top plumber out to deal with the issue. His helper was inside and he was outside when the sound occurred. That was the only time it occurred while they were there. After a while they needed to leave so the plumber made the recommendation that I spend another $400 adding a water filter and replacing a pressure valve. He could not explain why either of those would solve the problem. I declined to do them. I called SAL's a day or two later to discuss the matter. I was not willing to pay for additional parts if they did not know that they had failed or that they were the cause of the problem especially since the plumber NEVER heard the noise. They talked it over and assured me that they were SURE the pressure valve ($250) would fix the problem. However, if it did not fix the problem I would still be out the $250 and they would guess again - again at my expense. Not real impressed. I spent $7500 and they induced a problem but were not willing to fix it. The second issue was noted 2-3 weeks after the HVAC installation was completed. The weather was cold when they finished so the heater was in use and worked fine. When the weather warmed for the first time we turned on the AC and it failed to start. Once again we called SAL's. They sent a technician out and he discovered that the wiring at the thermostat was not correct and that one wire was broken. Based on the reputation of the installer they determined that the installation was correct and something had happened since the installation had been completed. The installer had not checked the AC. They wanted to bill me $102 for a service call and diagnosis fee. I objected and reference Angie's List and they finally relented and did not charge me anything. I have used SAL's for other work and have been satisfied. This time not so much. So far today the water pipe growl has not been heard. Which means that if I had spent the $250 the sound might have gone away but not because I spent the money and they did the work.

He was patience with us. We thought we were going to have some outside where our gas line was. They did such a fine job I have scheduled them to comeback and install a new faucet.

I would definitely use this company again. They were polite and timely and did a wonderful job on the toilet installation. Plus, you can't beat the deal I got with the coupon for $199 for the toilet and installation of it.

I called twice to schedule a follow-up appointment, once on Friday 5/8 and then again on Monday or Tuesday, 5/11 or 5/12. Each time I was told that someone would call me back to reschedule. No one ever called me. $59.00 for nothing, so I'm not willing to spend any more money with this business. I'll find someone else.

Double Charges Purched a $79 A/C tuneup. During tuneup, they found I needed a part, They told me that it would be an additional $234 !!! Part = $139, Service Call = $50 and Diagnostics = $45. I questioned the service and diagnostic charge.I had already paid $79 for them to come to my home and it would be double charging. ($50 service charge? He was standing on my patio !! Diagnostic charge? They were in the middle of a tuneup). .The tech called Sal's and I received a$79 credit.(should have been $95). If I had not challenger I would be out tne $79. I feel OK about the service that was done but not the attempted billing. P.S. Reviewed invoice after they left. $20 error in their favor

Everything went fine. The installers were punctual, and did a complete clean-up when they finished

They were courteous, knowledgeable, and fair. I plan on having them do the work after I remodel my kitchen, and figure out what my budget is.

Johnny was very professional and knowledgeable. He did the best thing for me and did not render an unnecessary service. He surveyed the rest of my house and made some very appropriate recommendations. He was very responsive. He called an hour before he arrived and he was on time. He used shoe covers each time he entered the house. He was very respectful.

The service from Sal's was great but the Amana unit that I purchased through the big deal is not what I expected. It is a very loud unit. I have to turn up the TV when the blower is on and it runs every 2 mins for 5 -7 mins. at a time. I would have returned the unit if I could but Sal's would not let me return it. Be careful when purchasing a bottom of the line furnace because once it's installed, it's yours to keep.

Job went very well. Sal's came out and offered to repair my old furnace, but I decided because of its age it would be better to replace. Service person gave me a quote and arranged to have a new furnace to be installed the very next day. The next day a different service person came and completed the installation. After the installation he completely cleaned up the area very well and explained to me how the furnace operated etc. At all times the service people were very polite and accommodating and answered all my questions. About 2 weeks later a drain in the laundry room clogged and I called Sal's plumbing dept. They responded within a couple of hours and unclogged the drain. The plumbers were also very helpful in giving me some advice on how to avoid clogged drains. .

Gave me a hard time when I purchased a deal. They insisted I have to print a certificate showing I used Angie's list when it is their responsibility to check. Also, serviceman left and didn't fix the loud buzzing sound coming from the unit. I had to call them for another visit which I was charged for.

it went splendidly. They even re-plumped the intake and re-did thee exhaust to the chimney as well, because "it didn't look right".

Called to confirm appointment. Showed up about 20 minutes late due to traffic, but called me to let me know. Great Service very polite. Would definetly use again

I bought an Angie's deal for Sal's Heating and Cooling for a drain unclogging. I got a message from Sal's shortly after I bought it asking me to call to set up an appointment. I was out and didn't see the message until 8:30 that evening. I called thinking to leave a voicemail as I was sure they were closed by that hour but lo and behold, I got a real person answering the phone. She then told me someone would call me. Within minutes Keith called and we set up the appointment. Now that's good customer service! Right on time, Anthony and Matt arrived. They were very personable and knowledgeable and got the job done in a timely and efficient manner. Couldn't have asked for two nicer guys. Would definitely use Sal's again. Highly recommend them.

I have an old water heater. The tech came and told me I would probably need a new one. Mine was almost 18 years old. He gave me pricing on new ones, and cleaned the tank very well for me. He scraped of a bunch of rust on the bottom. I used my home warrenty for the replacement water heater, but if I didn't have a home warrenty, I would have gone with this company.

This was my second year buying the annual service contract. Sal's reached out to me very quickly after buying the contract. I was able to get the appointment scheduled for a few weeks out due to having to wait until it was warming up. They called first thing in the morning and told me a technician was in the area. The tech arrived within 30 minutes and went right to work. He took his time, but was efficient. At the end, he mentioned the unit had some pollen built up and mentioned to spray off a few times through the summer which was great to know. I would recommend they and really enjoy knowing I have 2 guaranteed visits from them a year to make sure both of my units will work efficiently.
