Dans Drywall Repair

One of my tenants called to say water was dripping from the basement bathroom ceiling. After discovering the problem and correcting it I called Dan about patching the hole and I asked him to make arrangements with the tenant to have it fixed. About a week went by I did not hear anything so I called back. I guess Dan had lost the information and I had to explain the situation to him again. After the second call everything went according to schedule. Dan showed up on time and fixed the hole promptly. I inspected the work a few weeks later and everything looks good. I would use him again, it was just frustrating to have to follow up with the 2nd phone call. That is the only reason I gave a B on Responsiveness.

We had water damage that required a pretty large portion of ceiling be replaced, Dan did a great job.

The job went perfectly. You really cannot tell where the old stopped and the new starts. Great job! Very nice man too!

It went very well. The price was reasonable, they were on time, they did the job well and they were friendly.

Job went well. they were prompt, job was professionally done, and reasonably priced. I would use them again, no hesitation some drywall was tracked inside the house, but it was easy to clean up, and everything else they did made up for it as far as we were concerned.

It was very good. He was very detailed and cleaned up after himself.

I called Dan's Drywall repair on a Sunday afternoon after a small project in my bathroom led to having to replace a piece of drywall. Dan called me back and was able to come right away to look at the project and give an estimate. Once I gave the ok for the repair, he asked if I would mind if he stayed then to fix it. He was able to replace the drywall, mud it, skim it and sand all that night. I was able to paint the next morning and was able to still keep an appointment I had that day with an electrician to replace a light on that wall. Dan was very personable and professional throughout. I couldn't have been happier with his work and will definitely use him again.

Dan came out, took a look at the project, and fixed it on the spot. I am extremely happy with the outcome. The wall is totally smooth. Dan did a much better job than other drywall projects I've had done in the past. I will definitely use him again.

A few of the things I was not so happy about: 1) They had asked if it was OK to leave the drywall compound (durabond) bucket - I had no problem with that but was not happy to find the bucket sitting in a pool of water on my brand new hardwood floors when I got home. 2) I know drywall is messy and I have some professional experience to have a proper feel for this, but the mess that was left behind was ridiculous. The work was done quickly which is nice, but I would rather have paid for another hour for proper setup and cleanup. It was a lot of work to clean up and I still have to go over some of the areas. 3) One of the projects was to tape the corners between the walls and ceiling. Dan said he would 'flat tape' the joint. I was surprised to find out that meant apply tape only to the wall. The tape is a structural feature and is meant to adhere half to each surface of the joint. Again, the end result is aesthetically OK. I had a good amount of work done in a fairly short period of time but after all the great reviews I was expecting higher quality. I think Dan's drywall is a good option for quick repairs for people who are not too picky or for areas that are not very critical. I personally would try to find someone else before calling them back.

A handyman licensed contactor who I hired early on named David Truesdell (don't ever use him) totally botched a kitchen ceiling after taking out an 8 foot ceiling and making it back to a cathedral ceiling. ( he botched other items as well in the end because he was taking too long and not making any money on the job by this point). The dry wall mud was cracking where he didn't tape and very poor stomping job. Dan came in and fixed it all! The ceiling was completed the way it is supposed to be completed and matches the other side.

Overall they did a real nice job. They came when they said they would and did the job quickly. Everything blended pretty well after the mudding was done. Their approach to making the ceiling blend was excellent and i wouldn't do it any other way. I might mark them down to an A- on quality because I had a fair amount of touch-up I had to do afterward. They did a decent job of keeping the dust down, but make sure you talk about your expectations in that area when you get the quote. Their price was about 40% of the other quote I got, so overall I was thrilled.

Price quoted was great, very professional, and patch matches the ceiling. You can't even tell where the holes were in the ceiling. Dan is fantastic, very nice to talk to, and does wonderful work. I immediately referred him to friends that needed work as well.

Dan came from Middletown the day after I called for an estimate. I liked his assessment of the needed work. He had excellent ratings on Angie's List and his price was decent based on other work I had done by another contractor several years ago. I was not disappointed. He came on time several days later to do the work. He had to work quickly due to the drying time of the materials. He protected the flooring and erected a barrier to control the dust from required sanding. Clean up was satisfactory. My newly painted walls look great.

Everything was perfect. He responded to initial call immediately, showed up on time and finished when promised. Work was done very professionally and we had no complaints at all.

Dan and co-worker came on time, repaired ceiling in kitchen and replaced dry wall section in garage, they did a good job. The only issue was hauling away debris. They wanted to leave it for my garbage pick up but because our trash company would charge me, I asked if they would haul it away. Dan agreed to haul it away at no charge, he was nice about it. I would hire him again but make sure price included haul away.

They did a really nice job! They were the best quote we got for drywall repair and were very efficient. We decided to paint the ceiling ourselves to save money as we have another ceiling to replace, so they completed the job so it was paint ready. They cleaned up after themselves and we will definitely use them again for the next ceiling repair

He was very pleasant and seemed to do a good job going back and forth between the two areas. After we cleaned up and painted the long crack in the kitchen, it really showed through more than I expected. Also, he didn't clean up the two areas afterward and was done pretty quickly so it wasn't because the job took more time than I purchased (three hours). I was a little disappointed but not familiar with plaster work so maybe this is the best finish I could get, not sure?

Dan was brought in to fix and then complete what another drywall guy had started for us. Our garage ceiling had humidity stains that needed to be covered. Dave's Handyman Service tried stomping about a third of the ceiling, but, for whatever reason, he did not stain-kill it first, so, by the end of the first day, we had a bigger mess than when he began. $275 later, we sent him on his way. Then we brought in Dan ... who first stain-killed the ceiling and then stomped. But the stains showed through and I was concerned as we were trying to list our house to sell and our realtor REALLY wanted that ceiling done. Dan said he would come back the following week to stain-kill again. I admit, I was worried as I had already paid him the $500, but, true to his word, he returned, applied another coat of stain-kill, and now the ceiling looks great. On top of doing a good job, and being truthful and dependable, Dan is just a very nice man.

I bought the special from Angie's list and Dan called and set up a time. he was prompt and did a great job on a difficult repair. It was a small job but I'm hoping to have him come back out and do some painting as well. Very good work and very resonable price.

The work he did do on one wall of the stairway was fine. However, there were cracks in the ceiling right above the ones in the wall, and others on the opposite wall that he left

Called for plaster crack repair. Dan arrived on time, repaired plaster cracks. Work was very good, you would not know where the cracks were before the repair. Dan stated that the repairs would need to be painted. I cannot paint overhead, so we contracted Dan, to return and paint the large overhead ceiling in the kitchen. Also a hall was painted (Wall and ceiling). We are very happy with the plaster repair and the painting. Would advise anyone needing plaster repair or painting, to use Dan,s service.

professional worker...on time as per appointment..cleaned up job site...would hire again definitely..

I have used their service last two or three weeks ago and everything went fine. He did a fine job. He told me when he's gonna be at my home and he was here even early. He did what I asked him to do and all was fine.

Dan was punctual,professional, and friendly. I will definitely use his service again.

He was great. He came in and knocked the work out in two hours. He explained how he did the work and told me how I could do it on my own in the future. He cleaned up after himself and was a nice guy to work with. He was very responsive as well.
