Dan Powers was fast, and the patch looks good. Unfortunately his Visqueen drop cloth was not tight against the base board. After he left, we noticed the mud droppings. My wife spent two hours on her knees removing almost dry mud from baseboard and carpet.

Did a good job. Got the job done when they said. Cheaper that everyone else.

Gentlemen were wonderful. Went above and beyond what I had expected. Garage ceiling a mess, huge crack across half of garage (from age). Kitchen looks great, and living room unnoticeable. What was great is white/ivory carpet in living room and NO mess, amazing job w/clean-up was not expecting.

I wasn't comfortable putting down half just to book a schedule a month out , but I read the reviews and assured that dan is an honest guy in the business . He does most work himself with help from brothers . He gave the best price quote after all .

What I got was two days of work which someone had to take off work for. The workers were late. They did call on one of the days to let us know, however it was five minutes before they were supposed to be there. They skim coated the walls. In doing so they got mud everywhere. On the toilet, doors, floor, mirrors,and sink. All the fixtures were coated as well I.e toilet paper holder and towel rack and tub. The sanding was very minimal. There are waves and lumps in the drywall. Painting was just as bad. Paint on carpet, tile, doors, trim, mirrors, window and door frames. The room corners and transition to ceiling are spotty at best. It does not appear to have been taped anywhere. Nothing was said in regards to paint on carpet. All in all very disappointed. Very little to no clean up was done by the workers even though listed on quote and charged for.

Contractor was professional and punctual with returning phone calls and arriving to scheduled appointments. I hired him to repair walls and ceiling in a bathroom that had been damaged by water from an upstairs bath. Repairs needed included drywall and painting to one wall of the room. Water stain removal, and repainting and texturizing of ceiling. The drywall appears to have been repaired well. The painting and texturizing of the ceiling also appears to be well done. However the painting of the walls and the water stain removal were not done well. I noticed one water stain still showing through when we did our walk through at the end of the job and Dan and his brother came back in and redid that spot. However there were other stains on the ceiling still coming through that weren't noticed before he left or possibly were not showing through until a few hours later, I'm not sure. I had an estimate from one contractor who said he would do this job over a several day period in several steps. Maybe that was why. This job was completed by Dan and his brother in about 2.5 hours. Also, one wall was completely painted, but lines were not clean at the lower wall meaning it was not painted all the way to the baseboard, leaving a gap of about 1.5 to 2 inches at the bottom. Another wall had some patch paint along the line of the ceiling but again the lines were not clean, leaving a horrible looking top part of that wall. There were some drips of paint I noticed during our walk through that I pointed out to Dan, which he wiped away with his hand, leaving streak marks. I hoped that upon drying, the paint would not look streaked or uneven. I was mistaken. I give an overall rating of a D, only because the drywall repair appears to be good. Otherwise I would've given an F, because I hired them not just for drywall but for water stain removal and a paint job as well and those two portions of the job were unacceptable and will have to be redone. Again, I did not notice the other water stains showing through, until after they had left. It took us several weeks to schedule a time that worked for both of us, and I felt more time should've been taken to do the job correctly the first time. Therefore, I chose not to call him back to fix the issues. I will either hire someone else, or do it myself. If all that is needed is drywall work, Dan may do a good job. But if you need work in addition to that, I would hire someone else.

Dan came out and made a quote to repair water damage to the ceiling of our bay window. Price was good at $330 to repair the ceiling plus the adjacent drywall. He and his brother, Dave, showed up promptly at scheduled time. Within a few minutes, Dan noted that although all of our house was drywall, the ceiling in this bay window was plaster! Something he had never seen in his years of experience. Although the scope of work changed, actually became a bigger job, he stuck to his quote and did a wonderful job repairing the damage. This involved scraping the old outer coat, skim coating, drying and sanding. I would highly recommend Dan for any drywall job as he is friendly, prompt, and does great work at a reasonable price.

Dan was very good to work with. Arrived on time and performed the work in a timely manner. Very pleased with the results and my experience with his company. Price was reasonable for the work performed.

They were prompt and courteous. His helper wore oxygen which is no problem, but the humidifier he brought along to use smelled really bad. It stunk my whole house up, but nothing that Febreze didn't take care of. The work was going ok, until I noticed an obvious gap between the drywall and the molding of the cabinets. He did seal it up with caulk, but I was hoping for a more flush look. He did go extra by refitting the recessed lighting, which he did a rather good job. The job was done in the time he promised.

Dan arrived on time and did a great job installing the baseboard on an uneven floor. He cleaned up the area well when he was finished. We are having him come back to install baseboard in out kitchen after our flooring is installed.

Dan fixed a poor ceiling repair in a house we purchased. He came promptly and gave an estimate. We scheduled a day for the job and he arrived on time. We had removed all the breakable items per his request. The work was completed in 1 day and room was well cleaned by Dan. The ceiling now looks great, will use in future for any drywall work we may need.

Perfect, No problems and I will use again!

We cleaned everything out of these rooms including ceiling lights at his request. Projects were to take approximately 2 weeks. Dan is a very pleasant person; he is willing to fix ?fixable mistakes? to the customer?s satisfaction that the customer finds. He has 30+ years working with drywall and painting. We were far more satisfied with his drywall abilities than painting. Disappointments We assumed he would bring/use work lights (because house was emptied & ceiling lights removed). He had 1-2 lights max and later told us that he ?worked by natural light?. We had to find mistakes and point them out to Dan. We went over his work 2 separate times and spent over 6 hours inspecting his work and putting post-its on areas that needed rework or we had concerns about. We assumed he would check over his work before the customer did a walk-through and that the responsibility wasn?t ours to point out mistakes. When painting, many roller lines weren?t blended in & paint globs/drips weren?t caught. Both were allowed to dry and couldn?t be fixed unless he sanded down walls and repainted. There were also too many places that were not painted (2 coats of paint). Paint cut-in lines at ceiling were sloppy ? not crisp. Had to be recut/repainted in many rooms at our request. There were wall paint slops on white ceilings that were not corrected while he was painting. We didn?t realize we needed to be there to supervise/inspect work while they worked to point out areas that needed fixing. After final walk through with us, Dan fixed more issues. We paid balance, and we agreed he had fixed all the mistakes he could.

Dan is wonderful! I had several small areas where I needed drywall repair and stomping done on my ceiling. Dan and his brother did a fantastic job. You can't even tell where the patch work was done! Blends with the rest of the ceiling. They also cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them and use their service again. Thanks Dan!

punctual estimate, punctual scheduling and great with the repairs. patching a small area is never easy. patching many different areas to make them undetectable takes skill. very good work

UPDATE: Dan did call me back and fixed the new crack that appeared in the wall. He accommodated my schedule and fixed the crack as soon as we could agree on a mutual time. I appreciate him standing behind his work and assuring good quality. Thanks Dan! I have to revise my review a bit. We had quite a bit of paint clean up after they were done - some of the paint did not come out of the carpet, even after we had a professional carpet cleaner. There are also some areas of the painting that were missed. In addition, one of the areas that they patched is now (1 week later) cracking. I plan to call Dan to make sure it gets fixed. Original Review: Dan did a great job repairing the walls in the bedrooms. We had several spots that needed to be patched and they did a very good job. We had a room that had significant issues after the wallpaper was removed, and they mudded/sanded all day to make the walls smooth. The walls aren't perfect, but as good as I could expect. I would use Dan again for dry wall work.

Dan had great responsiveness to my request for quote and setting date to perform work. He was very professional. Repairs, sanding, and painting were completed in one day as promised. Bathroom door was not completed due to forgetting to bring oil based primer for door prep. Dan offered to reduce estimate by $50 since door would not be completed that day. My husband will be completing this part of project. Overall great work; and yes I would use his services again!

Dan looked the job over and worked up a quotation while he was at our home. Pricing and Angie's rating was good so we scheduled the work to be done in a couple of weeks. I will update on the quality of work when the job is complete

Dan was extremely prompt and professional and was early for our in home estimate. His estimate was about what we were expecting. He was up front about the work and how much drywall we would need and was able to provide mold resistant drywall for the bathroom. Drywall delivery was on time and very professional as well. Installation took less time than Dan originally scheduled and he came in under estimate. We were incredibly happy with the results. There were some issues with some detail work - the cutouts around outlet boxes were not very good and caused some issues when we went to install the outlets. There were a lot of places where we had to scrape or sand large chunks of drywall compound off the wall before painting. That said, for what we paid he and his crew did a fantastic job. If you are looking for precision, detailed drywall, this may not be your company. If you want a quick, professional, well done, reasonably priced dry wall job, Dan will get it done for you. The only reason I gave him a B in "professionalism" is not really his fault - one member of his crew had incredibly bad BO. So bad that I could smell it through the door to the basement as I walked by it. I was pregnant at the time and this caused me a lot of issues. Had I not been expecting, it would have been a minor annoyance.

Dan and Dave were on-time, very professional and easy to work with. They knocked out the 1/4" drywall install and seam mudding the first day. Because this new drywall would have a swirled texture finish to it and they knew how to install with a minimum of mud...there was no sanding necessary. The second day they quickly applied the swirl finish. The end result was as perfect a match as possible (swirl textured from 50 years ago will be smoother due to a dozen coats of paint - which Dan made sure I knew up front). There is no substitute for 44 years of experience. They did an entire room without any dust and minimum clean-up. I could not be happier!

I used him because the reviews were good. I called him, he came right away, and it was a pretty easy transaction. The estimate he gave was fair. He is very punctual, and when he says he is coming out, he comes out. He is there when he is supposed to be. His partner wanted to smoke an electronic cigarette, and I didn't let him. The work was good, it wasn't perfect. I would hire him again.

Dan did an excellent job restoring the ceiling.

I'm expecting him to call me this evening for another job. He did a very good job. I was satisfied with his work therefore I'm hiring him again.
