Skylights Plus

Bob responded to my request for an estimate immediately last fall, and we agreed on doing the work immediately - his estimate was very detailed in every way. The price was excellent, and while I compared it with one other company, I had the feeling in the beginning I would be going with Skylights Plus anyway. I paid the 1/3 deposit and he ordered all the necessary parts. Unfortunately, bad weather took us over almost immediately, followed by my extensive travel schedule, so I had him put off installation until the spring (I have to protect a piano in my house from cold, so this was entirely my choice to put it off until Spring). We were back in touch a couple weeks ago and he set a date - he and a co-worker showed up exactly at the time they said, removed the old bad skylights and replaced them with the new ones in roughly 5-6 hours time - every inch of the kitchen underneath was covered up for protection, including wrapping the fridge up completely so that no paint or dirt would get on the front or sides. They came back next morning just to do a short finishing up on the painting of the trim on the inside, allowing the primer to dry well over night. The clean up and lack of any trace of them even being there were simply amazing, and the new skylights are far more attractive and at what I consider an extremely reasonable price - especially for such relatively large ones. Very very impressed with how nice and through Bob was through it all, and I recommend them very highly. Real pro in every way.

They were professional and courteous. Had gotten an estimate the year before but we couldn't do anything at that time. When I called back the next year, he remembered me and was so friendly and helpful. The skylight was quickly replaced and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

I have two skylights, one of which was leaking and damaging the wall underneath it. Most of the repair guys who looked at it wanted to replace the entire window for $600-800 dollars each. Robert at Skylights Plus said the window just needed reglazing, and he could do it on the spot except the wood frame was wet and needed to dry out first. After that, we did run into some bad weather and the holidays, so it was awhile before we could get the reglazing done. He did the second window as well, which was just beginning to have a bad seal. At $60 per window, the price was great compared to the other estimates. In the end, I'm very pleased with the work and will continue to use this company the next time I have any problems with the skylights.

It took him several tries to repair the leak, but he didn't stop until it was taken care of. All the other companies we called would only replace the skylight, not repair the leak.

From the beginning Robert was very professional. I was getting the roof replaced and he worked with the roofers so that the work was all done at the same time. Robert kept me informed when the roofers delayed the start of their job several times. The work he did was excellent and the new skylights look great. I would highly recommend him and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

A job very well done. As stated above regarding the skylight blind you should slide the blind and not pull down on the ring with the long pole. The pole will bend a little but its strong and made for this.

Bob from Skylights Plus is the ultimate professional in his business. The difference in the lighting and overall atmosphere of the work after the install is incredible--not only do we have just the perfect amount of sun coming in to our room, but the professional appearance of the windows and the trim has already had neighbors stop by to look at the job, and comment positively. Bob is thorough, friendly, and really cares about his work. I have never worked with a better contractor. And Bob takes great pain to leave a spotless area behind!

Came before his promised time and was quick to a**** the situation. It went great.

It was great. Bob wasn't able to come out on the original date due to the Derecho of 2012, but he called a day ahead and asked if he could instead come on the 4th of July. That's pretty dedicated and we appreciated the gesture. I've had far too many contractors not call when plans change and this was a refreshing change of pace. The price was reasonable and the new skylight looks great, no more leaking and we now have UV protection.

I think Bob is an honest man who does quality work, and his prices are very fair. My only concern is that when the initial repairs were not quite enough to fix the problem, Bob wasn't as responsive as I needed, but I think this was because he was uncertain how to handle the situation. When Bob came out for the second round of repairs, he was back on the ball and the problems were fixed perfectly.

Cleanup was complete. No mess, no fuss. Expert, careful installation. Dependable and reasonably priced. I plan to use him for some sun tunnels in the future. Great company, great experience.

Bob provided extra services that were not part of the original quote. He is very patient and thurough.

Bob installed 2 sun tunnels for us in our family room in 2006. We've had no problems with them since. His quote was reasonable, he was professional and did a great job. We had him install another tunnel in our upstairs hallway in 2012. Same experience...timely, professional and no surprises. He will be installing a sun window for us during our bathroom remodel in the next few weeks and have no worries that anything will go wrong. Bob even search for a window that we wanted for the bathroom, from a dealer, that he could not order directly, which saved us money. I believe that any other contractor would have said, "you have to go with what I can get", just to get more money out of the customer. He's a true professional! Definitely would recommend!

The owner showed up on time for our appointment to give us an estimate to replace the glass in the skylights in our master bedroom. The seal had broken and the glass was fogged up inbetween the panes. He ordered replacement glass and came to install it as promised. While he was here, I asked him to check out the skylights over our deck which had been leaking and he made some minor repairs to them at no additional charge.

Bob Stock came out to our home promptly after calling him to evaluate four skylights that were leaking. I thought we were going to have to replace them but Bob said they just needed reglazed and charged us $60. per skylight to fix them- which I thought was extremely reasonable. We have not had a problem with any leaking since he repaired them and we have had many rainstorms since the repair. Bob was extremely honest and professional and I would highly recommend him.

Robert arrived on time and completed the job in less than one hour. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

Bob was pleasant to work with and based on his recommendation, I went with an option that I feel looks better than what I had originally planned, and was less expensive. Due to weather, he was unable to come the day he was originally scheduled to install the light, but was very flexible and worked with me to get the job done as soon as possible. I was pleased with the service, and would use him again.

The skylights have absolutely made the room feel like it is in a new house. We started the installation late in the fall but delays because of weather made it impossible for them to complete the job until March - and it really was not an issue for us. The skylights have been absolutely leak-proof so far (6 months or so). Bob is a great guy, very professional, honest, and knowledgeable. I would hire Skylights Plus again in a heartbeat.

Great job...he arrived on time and is an honest guy. Told me I didn't need to buy brand new skylights even tho' going into it I was convinced we would have to. He gave us an accurate quote with three different options...we chose it, he ordered it, came out and performed the job. Fantastic....

Bob from Skylights Plus went right out to give me an estimate. The other company I called said it would be 5 days before they could get someone out to look at the skylights. Bob immediately emailed me an estimate (I live 1300 miles from the property). I gave him the go ahead and the work was completed on time. His estimate was the same as the price he charged. I would definitely recommend this company and individiual.

Bob returned our call quickly. Scheduled estimate right away. Offered to have custom made (Velux) skylights without tearing into our roof which is only 2 yrs. old. Ordered and replaced in a very timely manner at a fair price. Bob is honest and reliable. Would highly recommend to anyone with leaking skylights.

I met Bob Stock a couple of months ago when he repaired a skylight leak and was very pleased. I told him about wood repair on the ouside of two windows of which he said he could to the repair in a few weeks. I called him on a Monday, he came out on Wednesday to look at what was needed and then came on Thursday morning to remove and repair and replace with new wood framing around the two windows. He caulked and cleaned up the work area. This is the second time I have use him and very please with his service and price. I talked with about another project to do in the fall.
