The Hilliard store would not work with me. The assistance manager was rude and flip-pet with me. I could not speak to the manager because he was out for a family emergency. So I just had to leave my phone number and name for the manager to call me when he gets back to work. I have no furniture in my house and haven't since Oct 6th. Lazboy doesn't care that they broke the contract and have left me with no furniture. I have family coming in for Christmas with no place for anyone to sit. This weekend I will purchase furniture from another store. I may have to take Lazboy to small claims court to obtain my deposit back. I would advice other people to stay away from Lazboy. It is apparent that the parent company doesn't care about customer service any more than the local store does.
Description of Work: I purchased furniture at the Laz Boy store in Hilliard Oh.on Oct 6th. I was told that the furniture was a special order and it would take 6-8 weeks before it would be delivered. I did not hear anything from Lazboy so the week of Thanksgiving I called the store and spoke to my sales person, John Knight. John stated the company had problems getting in the material for the furniture and it would be in Jan before it would be done. I told John this was unacceptable. John said he would research this and call me back. He did call me back that same day to let me know it would be done by Dec 15th. Since that was only 3 more weeks I agreed. I called the store the week before Dec 15th and was told they couldn't even find my order. I then spoke to the corporate office in Mi. The corporate office said they would research this and have someone from the store call me back. Four days later I received a call from Jenson, Asst. Store Manager, who was rude and basically said if we cancel the order there would be a restock charge of 30 %. I questioned this since they didn't even have the item how they could charge a restocking fee. But that is the store's policy. The corporate office said that they could not intervene with what the local store policy is nor could they refund my deposit or cancel my order. I feel that they breached the agreement by not delivering my furniture in the 6-8 wks that was promised. So why can't I cancel my order and receive a full refund?

I am sorry to hear that you feel we broke a "contract" in regards to your custom order furniture. You must understand that we, at the store, do not set the standards nor the rules, but must follow them. Company policy prohibits canceling of ANY order without a 30% restocking fee, regardless of reason. That is why we also require a 30% deposit on custom orders, incase an order is canceled, the deposit becomes the restocking fee. It is a general rule that most custom orders take 6-8 weeks, unfortunately it is not a promise on the basis of backordered fabrics or other reasons to hold up production. This may have been a missunderstanding, but all of the terms and conditions for the company are located on the back of EVERY sales invoice and require a signature in order to process and begin production. I hope this clears up any confussion you may have. It was a pleasure working with you.

He made it apparent that he wanted to be sure we were completely satisfied with the resulution.
Description of Work: We bought a reclining chair in December 2013 and did not purchase the extended warrenty. The stuffing in one arm of the chair sunk or disappeared. It was an expensive chair. We went out there and talked with the manager.. He had their service dept call us and set up an appointment to come and look at the chair. He told us what he thought was most likely wrong and they could fix the chair at no cost to us. We were very, very happy with the result. They are coming on November 11 and it will be taken care of. \The original price of the chair was over $1,000 the
