They did a fantastic job on all fronts.

Went very well, Nick and Jason were just a couple minutes late but got right to work, did a very professional and businesslike job and cleaned up pretty well after themselves. they didn't rush but they were very efficient with their time and movement, minimal talk between them except to do the job, no horsing around or monkey business like some contractors. Their boss Linda was very good at follow up and keeping in communication, even offering to do the floor sooner than scheduled, although we couldn't do that on our end due to timing. I did all the rug and underpad pull outs and removing existing baseboards for re-use. Floor looks great and we're very please with the outcome. I'd recommend L&L to any one, they were prompt, did a great job and were the best priced of the 4 or 5 contractors we contacted for a quote!

We reached out to Linda in January for an estimate and were given a very reasonable price compared to a few other places we had checked with. Our is an older Clintonville home and most of the floors had been covered by carpet or plywood and linoleum so the condition of the floors were very poor before L&L came. She came to the house and gave us a great price and said she would get back with calendar dates of availability. Scheduling proved to be a pain primarily because L&L was booked out so far in advance and we had a little trouble communicating before the day the team was scheduled to arrive. However, once a date was set and the team arrived at the house, things could not have gone more smoothly. L&L is a family owned business and it was very clear that the guys work great with one another. Mike and Nick spent a good hour with me walking through the house initially making recommendations and surveying the work to be done. They made great recommendations with areas they knew could be affordably repaired (even at one point talking me out of replacing an area of the floor my wife and I had thought needed to be replaced) and were up front with other areas where the wood was either too shallow or a gouge was too deep to to truly cover up. Nick was fantastic with communication throughout the service, touching base with me each day and making sure to double check with us on preference before moving forward with certain tasks. They were able to finish a day ahead of schedule (which we greatly appreciated) and the quality of the workmanship really impressed me. They did a very good job of minimizing the dust throughout the house (refinishing is a messy business) and clearly spent a fair amount of time cleaning each room before they left. Overall, the job that they did was tremendous and easily added to the value of my house triple of the amount we paid. I will certainly L&L Hardwood again in the future and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for wooden flooring work.

I could go on and on. Besides doing incredible work.....Linda and the guys are a hoot!!! They were so much fun to have in the house and then you get the bonus of unbelievably beautiful floors. I do not think you could find anyone better priced. They are punctual, fast, trustworthy, tidy, and do a wonderful job! Could not have been more pleased with their work.

Excellent! The estimate was very timely and clear explanation of work efforts. Help us know what to prepare and expect. First day, guys were a little late but got to work right away. There were some water damage areas, so the guys explained some options and recommended we go for a darker color than replace boards. We are glad we took their advice. The color was perfect! The smell did last longer than expected and we elected to give the floors more time to cure. We live our floors and have recommended L&L to all our friends. Price and service is the best you will find!!!

Contacted company to repair a scratch in a hardwood floor. They were unable to match the wood, so they put some polyurethane on the scratch and were there for about 15 minutes. Received a bill for $250 and was told it was a minimum charge.

I chose L&L based on their Angie's List reviews, price (lower of 2), and scheduling. They started installing my new hardwood floors on Monday, approximately 400 sq. ft. of white oak. The floors were installed in on Monday, with a few hours on Tuesday to sand and stain, about an hour on Wednesday for the first coat of poly, and a couple hours on Thursday for the final buffing and poly. They were on time each day. They recommended trim to use around my fireplace which looks great. They were very helpful in suggesting ideas for helping me keep the dust to a minimum. They buffed and re-finished the poly on a previously installed floor to fix some problems. The new and old floors are different oaks, the new is white, the old is red. They butt up against each other and the color matching and finish are almost indistinguishable. The floors look great. If I decide to put hardwood in my kitchen when I remodel it, I will have L&L do the work again.

Linda came and gave us an estimate back in July (on site) and we felt very comfortable choosing her family's company to do our floors. They are busy so we had to wait 2 months but it was worth the wait!! They came on Thursday and were finished Friday. We went out of town and even though I had never met the guys before I felt very comfortable leaving them with a key. The floors are absolutely beautiful!! Beyond my expectations!! We had 3 estimates and chose L & L mainly because we felt the most confident in them but they also gave the lowest estimate. We made the right decision!! The natural finish on our 50 year old oak floors is GORGEOUS!!!!! Thank you Linda and crew!!

They were very prompt and knowledgeable, and we appreciated their advice, even though we ultimately did not pursue the project.

They came in on a Monday while we were out of town to start the job. When we returned on Saturday, the floor was finished and it looked great! Painless way to get a floor done. They were very professional and made sure everything was locked when they left each day. The air conditioner was even turned back on to cool our house and remove any stain odors.

Worked out a schedule with Linda for her crew to install the floors while we were on vacation. She was responsive and professional from start to finish. The floors look great! This is the second time we have used L&L.

It was positive. They gave me the best quote and they came out and did an excellent job on the floors. They fit me in their schedule. Even when they had a tight book schedule, they found a way to get me in there.

Linda was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry. She gave an in-person estimate, and answered a lot of questions that I had. After I received her estimate (via email), she again was very prompt and helpful in answering even more questions. We got three estimates from other contractors, and L & L's price was competitive. They were also very accommodating in that they allowed me to supply the flooring. Once we decided to go with L & L, we did have some issues trying to get in contact with them to schedule; similar to other reviews, Linda indicated that she had called or left voicemails, but I never received any. However, once we did get back in contact, Linda was great at working us into an cancellation to get our job completed sooner. Mike, Nick, and Jordan arrived for the install on-time. They were very friendly and were very helpful in determining the stain color for the flooring. They completed the job in the time frame promised, and the job area was kept very clean (as clean as possible for a very dusty process). The final results look great and we are very happy. We are planning to use L & L to refinish the other areas of hardwood in our house.

Linda and her crew were very attentive - returned calls and made evening appointments to fit around our schedule. They also provided various options for us to chose from to meet our budget. The installers were very professional and did a great job - would definitely use them again. They provided us with a sample of three different stains on the actual floor so we could select the right color for our taste.

After reading all of the reviews on Angie's List, L&L was the first call I made to repair my hardwood floors. Linda promptly came out, took her measurements, and had a very competitive estimate sent to us by the end of the same business day. Unfortunately, that was the height of our experience. I asked for a follow up call, and did not receive one for about a week, then tried Email. When I finally did get in touch with her, Linda told me she called me, leaving messages, and I did not call her back (I did not have any missed calls or Voicemails). Assuming there was a mix-up, we actually decided to proceed with L&L to do our work, so I contacted her via Email to confirm a data. After multiple Emails, I still had not received any communication back! Frustrated, I contacted another contractor to come out and give a bid. The bid was higher, but I still had not heard from Linda, so I chose to give my work to another contractor I understand being busy, but what bothered me was Linda's continued insistence that "I" was the one who was not communicating! Anyone with an iPhone knows that missed calls are obvious and voicemails, even deleted, stay in the phone for quite some time. Even after telling her that I had proof of calls not actually being made, she insisted she had called me and I had not returned her calls. L&L may do very good work, and I was impressed with their estimate (price and promptness). But read the reviews...I am not the only one who never received these 'phantom calls'....

Linda and family were great to work with. Linda came out to my house to give me a quote and spent almost an hour with me. Since it's a family owned and operated company, I felt much more comfortable choosing them. Additionally, they have over 30 years ove experience and an extremely competitive price point. Her son and husband came out as scheduled and completed the refinishing over three days. I was out of town after the first day, and completely trusted them to come in and complete the job despite not being home. I was pleased to come home to a great finished product. I also have hired them to lay hardwood flooring on my stair landing to match the other new hardwood that exists in the house. I'm excited for the team to finish that job as well. I would highly recommend the family to anyone looking for solid experience in flooring solutions.

I called for an estimate to refinish the floors in a property we are rehabbing. It seemed like a fair estimate as I had another estimate which was somewhat higher. We scheduled a date and they arrived when promised and completed the job. The only problem I had was getting a call back sometimes when I would leave a message on their answering machine. We also had Nick install laminate flooring in our kitchen and laundry room as a separate job for an additional $1,500. He did a very nice job and the floor looks great.

Linda quickly confirmed a date to provide an estimate. She was wonderful to work with...personable, funny and knowledgeable. She gave me great advice on how to proceed. The guys arrived right on time on the scheduled start date and got to work. They worked efficiently and made time to keep me informed as to what was happening, and what was going to occur. You can tell they enjoy the business and also each other's company! The floors look awesome, everything I hoped they would be. I'm sure my parents would have been delighted! The crew at L&L did a FANTASTIC job! The floor perfectly matches the rest of the house and the guys were wonderful to have around for the 3 partial days. They took great care to make sure that we understood every step of the process and were very patient with us as we documented the process with many many photos of before, during and after. In my opinion, companies like L&L are exactly what America needs more of; we could not have asked for a better experience. Mike and his team worked like a symphony with each step flowing to the next without any unnecessary delays, damages or unexpected results. In addition, they were very gracious in explaining exactly what they were doing, how they were doing it and how long it would take. On top of all that, we received a wonderful new floor at a fraction of the costs that we had prepared ourselves for. L&L will always be our flooring contractor going forward.

L & L was amazing! Ms. Linda provided my free estimate, working around my busy schedule, and was able to answer all my questions. She manged to fit me within the week! They obviously had lots of jobs going on, but knowing my schedule she worked with me to get the job done ahead of my move in date. I was on a very tight budget but Ms. Linda gave me options to help lower the cost, but not the quality (ie. doing my own carpet removal) Three generations of Walkers' showed up the next week, Mike, Jodan and Nicks were AMAZING!!!! I wanted a company I could trust to simply give a key to and hand over the reins. They were amazing, showed up on time, I was 5 minutes late and they waited for me. Reviewed the job, made sure we were on the same page and reviewed when the planned to work and when the job would be done. They got to work immediately. I felt completely comfortable having these three in my house, around my dog, etc. In an old house, issues do come up and they kept me in the loop through the entire process. When they found issues, they were able to tackle everything that came up and when an electrican was needed because of some surprise knob and tube they adjusted their schedule so I could have someone in to deal with the electric. One family member got sick during the time frame of my work, knowing I had a tight timeline Nick stayed late to get flooring installed and discussed aback up plan to ensure they got things done on time and didn't prevent/slow down my move in. I really appreciated how L&L was wiling to do so much to work with me and make sure they didn't delay my move in. In the end the back up plan wasn't necessary. Everything was done by the original date discussed and looks beautiful Ms. Linda was a pro at staying in touch, keeping me aware of the price as different issues/choices came up (to stain or not to stain). Sh was absolutely lovely to work with. This is the family and company I plan to have back when I figure out what I want to do with my first floor. I really really really appreciate all of this family's hard work, they were lovely to deal with, easy to work with, and timely. Thank you for my beautiful floors and working so hard to make sure they were within my timeframe and budget!

It went so smoothly. Originally I was to have the carpet pulled and the baseboards out, but I was not able to do this before they came. Linda assured me they would remove the carpet, not to worry and the extra price was so reasonable. Linda was wonderful about keeping in contact by phone and e mail, and was very adaptable to my schedule. I left on a trip, came back and Mike, Jodan and Nick were there the next day as planned. Great job.

Everything went smoothly. The floors look great, rich and real, not super-shiny. Everyone we dealt with was prompt, professional, and very pleasant.
