L & L Hardwood Floors

Linda did a thorough job of explaining the process and gave us a reasonable estimate. We slept elsewhere for two nights as recommended. They did an excellent job in less time than we anticipated. The floors are beautiful! The cost was reasonable and matched the estimate.

Impeccable quality work and professionalism. This was our first time using L & L, but we have switched permanently to them. Our previous (highly rated in Angie's List) flooring contractor did not return phone calls and his quality work was below par at a friend's house, to whom we had referred.

Honestly, the work was exceptional, the service was Ultra-friendly. Only issue was playing phone tag, and some communication problems on scheduling. But, we will take some ownership of those problems as well as pointing them back to the company. Overall, I would make the same choice and stick with them to get the quality of work, and the overall good service.

They uncovered a beautiful floor, which made the room glow because of the floors beauty.

Mike and Nick are excellent at what they do. They understand the business and they will make your floors look amazing. They are friendly, prompt, and they were very accommodating with our needs when we decided to change the stain color on the stairs after they had already applied a different stain color. I would definitely hire them again in the future! My only complaint would be that it was difficult getting the job scheduled as Linda is very busy and sometimes she can't get back to you right away. But the times that I was able to reach her she was very friendly and followed up with us when the work was getting completed to make sure that we were satisfied. She was also true to her word about when the job was to get done even though we were playing phone tag. Additionally, she was very prompt about coming out and giving us an estimate...not to mention she was on time for the appointment! Overall a very positive experience! I would highly recommend L&L.

L & L did a wonderful job refinishing our floors. We had several areas which were very badly worn/damaged, and they were accurately able to predict which ones would be acceptable after refinishing and which ones would not. Linda came to our home to estimate the cost of the job and was very nice. She also gave us a lot of information on how to take care of and maintain the floors so that they will continue to look nice for many years. The only difficulty I had with this company was that it was very difficult to reach them to schedule the work after we made our decision to hire them.

The Walker family was really great, and the floors are so beautiful! They ended up having to repair a few sections, and it came out great! This despite a family emergency. I don't know how they pulled it all together and did such a good job in such a timely manner, given the stressful time for them. We really enjoyed talking with Linda and had fun chatting in the am with Mike and Nick. They took care of us and our floors and so few of companies really have the family feel about them and the care in their craft that this family does. I am so happy they saved me from having to do those floors! I was happy to pay for such work and not have to do it, and they didn't even scold me for the work I had already started, how about that:)?! Great Job, we love it. Company was very professional and responsive. Linda showed up to estimate the job, offered me several options and called repeatedly to make sure I hadn't changed my mind. The work was very well done and the floors look great. Residual dust was everywhere but not to difficult to clean up.

They did a fantastic job on the floors and took time to examine and explain any issues that may arise (stains, cracks, etc). Very thorough in explaining how to take care of the new finish and were very quick in performing the work. Only complaint and reason for a "B" in one category, is I wasn't told they would leave behind two large bags of sawdust and sanding discs to dispose of.

They do nice work. They worked to get me in & they did the work when they said they would. Linda talks a lot.

Linda came out and gave us an estimate. Her husband and son did the sanding and polyurethane finish work. They were prompt, and efficient. The floors look Great. Would recommend them for refinishing of hardwood floors.

The estimate to do the work was specific and free. Linda worked with us to get what we wanted in terms of product type. They adjusted install dates to match our schedule, they were on time, the final price matched the estimate, the work is excellent, and we are thrilled. In addition, it was a pleasure to have them in the home. I would recommend this company to anyone and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

L & L Hardwood Floors did an incredible job. This company I could say are experts in their field. Linda, Mike, and the crew were very easy to talk too. They really knew what was best to do for my floors. I was very impressed with their attention to detail.

Great experience with a family owned and operated business! Linda has been incredible to work with from start to finish. Linda came out to give the estimate, and the guys came to do the work. I did not have to wait forever to have the work done either. She gave me the estimate in October and planned with me according to my schedule when the best time to do the work would be. It was completed the last week of December...awesome job that gives the house a much classier look! The guys even came back to apply more polyurethane to a couple of scratched areas (mostly my fault). The guys left an invoice for me when they finished, and Linda gave a ''no pressure to immediately pay'' attitude - wow! Great experience. I highly recommend this company!

The company did a good job on refinishing hardwood floors in a 1948 Clintonville house. The floors look wonderful. I would hire this company again. They arrived at 8 a.m. each day. I like early starters. On future jobs, I would recommend that they haul away the bags of saw dust. It is the service providers job to do this, not the customer.

The overall experience was wonderful. It was scheduled about a month in advance, and they showed up right on time on that day. The father and son were pleasant and fun to talk with. They offered suggestions about covering electric work in the floor, and even put me in touch with someone to do this. This work was all done in 3 days and it looks awesome. The floor butts up to existing hardwood, and it matches unbelievably. It looks better than I ever anticipated. I would recommend this company to anyone. Working with them was a great experience. I forgot to mention that the floor did not take as much wood as was budgeted, and they adjusted my bill down accordingly. I paid less than the estimate!

AFTER INITIAL PERIOD OF PHONE TAG IN SETTING UP DATES, THINGS MOVED VERY QUICKLY. FLOORS LOOKED WONDERFUL AND MORE ''STAINED'' AREAS WERE REMOVED THAN EXPECTED.

THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH. THEY DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS.

WOULD CONSIDER USING IN FUTURE. WOULD SUGGEST AFTER READING OTHER REPORTS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES THAT SOME SORT OF IMPROVEMENT BE MADE IN HANDLING CUSTOMER CALLS.

WE SELECTED THIS PROVIDER USING ANGIES LIST. RECEIVED CALL BACK ON INITIAL INQUIRY WITHIN 3 DAYS. ESTIMATE VISIT WAS SCHEDULED WITHIN THE WEEK. PRICE PAID WAS AS ESTIMATED WITH $90 ADDITION FOR THRESHOLD TRANSITIONS - WELL WORTH ADDITION. AT TIME OF ESTIMATE, LINDA GAVE US AN END OF SEPTEMBER DATE. 2 WEEKS BEFORE THAT DATE SHE CALLED TO CONFIRM. I ASKED FOR FIRM ARRIVAL DATE AND TIME AS WE CHOSE TO BE OUT OF THE HOUSE DURING THE WORK TIME. LINDA CALLED BACK WITHIN 2 HOURS TO CONFIRM. HUSBAND AND SON ARRIVED AT TIME STATED AND JOB WENT FOR LENGTH EXPECTED. FLOORS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND BLACK PET STAINS AND WATER STAINS FROM POTTED PLANTS ARE GONE. FLOORS ARE AS NEW. WE RATE L&L MOST HIGH ON PROCESS,AND QUALITY. WANT THEM BACK NEXT SPRING TO REFINISH ALL UPSTAIRS FLOORING. THIS COMPANY IS VERY GOOD.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR FINISHED FLOORS. PRIOR TO THE WORK, OUR FLOORS WERE DULL AND SPLINTERING. IT IS NICE TO WALK (IN BARE FEET)ON THE SMOOTH AND SHINY NEW FLOORS. WE HAVE 2 DOGS AND LINDA ADVISED US ON THE FINISH TO USE SO THEY WOULD NOT RUIN THE FLOORS WITH THEIR NAILS. IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND NO DAMAGE FROM THE DOGS. LINDA ALSO LEFT US INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CARE FOR THE FLOORS. WE ARE VERY HAPPY, THE DOGS WHO SLIDE ON THE NEW FLOORS...NOT SO MUCH (GRIN).

WE WOULD HAPPILY RECOMMEND L&L TO OTHERS. THEY PERFORMED THE WORK ON TIME AND WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, THE FINAL PRICE AGREED WITH THEIR ESTIMATE, AND THEY DEALT WITH THE FACT THAT WE WERE STILL LIVING IN ANOTHER STATE WITHOUT COMPLAINT OR PROBLEM. OUR FLOORS LOOK GREAT!

L & L WAS VERY RESPONSIVE, AND THEIR PRICES WERE VERY COMPETITIVE. CHOSE ANOTHER COMPANY, DUE TO INTANGIBLES, HOWEVER, MAY USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.
