L & L Hardwood Floors

They arrived as stated and did an excellent job of sanding and finishing what were once white-washed oak floors. They now have a natural finish. Everyone was punctual, friendly and a pleasure to work with. Would definitely highly recommend and use again.

Linda provided the quote late last year. WHen she heard I was hosting Christmas at my house, she discouraged me from having the floors done at he time she had available. Good Move!!! I would not have been prepared for Christmas dinner. The two gentlemen doing the work arrived on time and were very courteous. They also gave me tips on keeping the floor up and on taking care of the quarter round that I decided to refinish. I was very happy with the entire experience.

They were very, very good. I was satisfied with the work they did.

L & L are absolutely fabulous. They were true to their estimate even though it took longer than they thought. I am so happy that I found someone who could fix the squeeks in my 25 year-old floors and match new flooring to the old. The refinishing was great also.

My initial contact was with Linda. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Several other companies were reluctant to finish a job that I'd started myself but she explained that L&L "does it all" and did scheduled an appointment to stop over to provide and estimate. Linda inspected the floors, provided an estimate that was very competitive and explained the process if I chose to hire them for the job. I was very impressed with her level of knowledge and she was answered every question I could think to ask. She also welcomed me to call her if I thought of any additional questions. After the price was set, she fit my job in around other jobs in they were working on in my area. I was very pleasantly surprised that she was able to schedule my job in so quickly, the same week in fact. Nick and Mike showed up exactly on schedule every day, were pleasant and accommodating and answered any questions that I had for them as well. The job went exactly as Linda had explained and stayed exactly on schedule, even through a power outage in my area! I was extremely happy with the level of service and with the quality of their work. I would no hesitate to contact them again in the event that I need additional flooring services.

They submitted an estimate within ~24 hrs. Their workmen showed up promptly at the time they were scheduled to begin the job. Everything was done well.

I received 4 quotes from companies I found on Angie's List and L&L was $250 cheaper than the next guy. I had great communication with Linda from start to finish. We had to move the date 2 times because the company that installed my new sliding doors botched the installation and had to return (Not L&L). The L&L guys that did the work were professional and a joy to have in my home. They completed their work on-time as promised. The quality of their work is first class! Guests alwaays comment on how great the floors look. I recommend the brown finish with a hint of red. It is their most popular stain. I will use L&L again to do my kitchen next year.

Linda worked with me for a month or so and was very patient with our needs. This company was by far the most responsive and easy to get in contact with..... We had to get accomodations away from the house for a few days. This floor is just amazing!!!!! They filled every staple hole and did their best to get rid of a cat stain from the previous owner. This is the best experience with an Angies list vendor yet. Nick and his Daddy don't mess around. They get in and out. They left our home just as they found it. They were very neat in everything they did. Shoe molding and risers look great!! I was going to put in transitions from the bedrooms, since those floors had been redone about 10 years ago, and Nick did such a seamless good job that I am not going to need them now. They were both very accomodating, like Linda....but to to cut to the chase, THEY DO GREAT WORK!!!!!...much better than the guy I used 10 years ago who was supposedly the best. L & L is the BEST by far!!!!!!

I want to thank Linda and Nick for their help. They charged $250. And, they did a LOT of legwork to help.

They performed the work, I have a few small areas on the floor that are de-laminating. Nick & Mike saw the spot. In an email, Linda agreed to have Nick & Mike back out to see what could be done but I have been unable to schedule a date with Linda because she doesn't not respond to my email. She will only leave a message if there is no one home to answer the phone and it goes to voicemail. She has our home phone, cell phone, email, and address but she claims she is not able to make contact with us. Nick and Mike worked hard, all of them were accomodating to our schedule up until we had a problem. I think people would be satisfied in working with them as long as there weren't any problems. This problem has not yet been resolved and it has been over 4 months.

Almost hired this company but we were not too happy about lack of responsiveness on emails we sent and phone calls.

Linda provided a detailed estimate for services I might need, i.e., remove carpet, haul carpet, color if wanted, stain. This job was scheduled after a wall painting job and when we ran into some problems with the paint job schedule L&L were very helpful in rescheduling their service. Mike and Nick arrived at the scheduled time each day. They are both courteous and efficient workers.

The floors look like new although they're decades old! The crew was prompt, offered advice on maintaining the floors, and were overall great to work with!

Called and scheduled a in-home consult with no problem. Linda emailed us the quote in the following days. We tried to schedule a time for the actual work, and received no response from Linda via phone or email. Was disappointed since this company was rated so high on Angie's List. Ended up going with another company instead.

I have nothing but great things to say about L&L and their installer Nick Z. Nick worked long hours and had the hardwood floor installed in one day working from 8:30am until 6pm. He even worked on Sunday to install the tile flooring. He was very punctual (if he told us he would arrive at 8:30 am he arrived at 8:25am) and explained the entire process before starting the job. Nick cleaned the work areas after finishing and even hauled away debris which he did not tear off (I personally handled the demo part of the job). Being in the claims insurance business I have worked with hundreds of contractors in my 10 years experience, I would definitely recommend L&L to anyone needing a floor installer. In fact, I will be calling them again when I'm ready to install tile on another bathroom in my home... The Bernard Family

She did email the estimate. I contacted her to set up the job. It took her weeks to get back to me which she never did so I decided to go with a different company.

Linda and her family are very knowledgeable and very skilled at what they do. They completed the work while we were away at work(2 days) and the cleanup after the job was minimal. The floors were in pretty bad shape before they started, with many areas having no finish on them at all. Before they started they did advise which stains in the wood would not come out. They took care to repair some gaps and broken/loose boards. The work was completed over 2 years ago and they still look as good as they did the day they were done!

L&L arrived on time. They worked around our 2 crazy dogs. They left the 100 year old wood, like we asked and cleaned up after themselves.

They did not return my call for more than a week. When they did, a lady tried to convince me that I should go with them despite that they were not available on my schedule in the least (were not available for at least three weeks and I needed it done that week.) She also did not correctly figure out what kind of wood I had from the description (she thought it was oak and it was yellow pine.) She did email me an estimate based on my measurements and it was a good deal higher than our other estimates. Overall I just wasn't very comfortable with this person as she spent as much time trying to chat me up to make me more positive towards the company, as she did actually talking about our floors.

I was extremely pleased with their knowledge. They weren't cheap, but I was pleased with the quality. They were very accommodating to my descriptions of what I was looking for. Everything was cleaned up when I got home. I would definitely use them again.

Scheduling was done approximately 1 month in advance. Linda was very responsive and responded to e-mail and telephone calls in a timely manner. Work was scheduled for September 15. As luck would have it, we lost power as well as most of Columbus during the wind storm. I had not given Linda my cell number, but did contact her on Sunday a.m. when the power did not come back on; her area had also lost power. Linda was extremely concerned and indicated that she had left messages on my land line (which is served by a local cable network) which was also out of service. She assured me that they would arrive as soon as the power was restored. It was not restored! Anyway, the crew showed up on Monday as scheduled with a generator (how cool is that). There was some problem getting the results they needed, so once again they were delayed. They were very apologetic for an event that none of us had control over, but remained very professional and asked that I let them know as soon as we had power, which turned out to be Thursday, September 18th! We are so pleased with the results, the professionalism and most of all, the customer focus. The floor is beautiful, we're very happy we chose this company.

I did everything with them long distance and they patiently helped me choose the right floor. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them and use them again.

They were pleasant to have in the house. Their work was quality work. They did an add on for us with no hassle. We would use them again and would recommend them to others.

It was excellent because they showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would do. They were friendly and I could tell they worked hard to do a good job. They were good about coming out quickly to give a quote and they also followed up.
