It went very well. No dust blowing around in the house which made me very happy. The vacuum sat outside while he cleaned the stove and chimney.

Easy to schedule and they were on time on the appointment date. Price included a discount because of the time of year. They left no mess and checked the chimney cap. We would definitely use them again.

We needed this done ASAP on a house for closing. They came on short notice (something like 4 days lead time!) and got the work done. Great work!

We have been using New Buck for many years and more specifically their technician Keith. He is always punctual, professional and courteous. My only problem...and this really is MY problem...self inflicted...is that I habitually forget to schedule our cleaning for off-peak periods. By waiting until autumn I end up paying WAY more than if I scheduled for late spring or summer. Do yourself a favor and schedule your cleaning for off peak season and save a bunch.

He did a great job. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient. The chimney is very clean and he did not leave a trace of soot or dirt on my floor. We are very happy with his job and will definitely hire New Buck next year.

The office staff is professional. Set up timely date and time for estimate to be done. Date and time set up for work to be done. Staff member that was scheduled to do the work contacted me prior to arrival. Was courteous and professional. Took photos of before and after for documentation.

I contacted New Buck in the summer to clean the chimney and evaluate it. We had moved into the house in June and wanted to make sure it was useable. They showed me everything that needed repair by way of a camera so when we called them to do the repairs, I knew what they were going to do. Even so, they went over everything that was needed as per the original estimate.

OK. I had to point out concerns that the associate had overlooked and then they quoted me a rather high price, in my opinion, for the repairs (although i realize these repairs were not covered by the cleaning and inspection fee). They are polite and professional.

When I had the company install the chimney damper cap, which is amazing as it keeps out birds, bugs and draft, they found cracks in the chimney. Since I will be selling the house, it had to be done. We had not used the fireplace for a long time. The installers explained the process, noting that the cost was mainly for the stainless steel liner. They were extremely professional and neat, considering it is a fireplace and chimney. The man also loved my dogs!

New Buck was terrible. I assume they inspected the chimney, but after taking our $159 for inspecting a chimney in a home we were considering purchasing, we never saw a report. They sent a single picture to our agent, and no actual report. Repeated efforts to contact them provided no additional information.

It was a good service. The completed job was good. The ground underneath was not totally cleaned but other then that everything was good. I will recommend to everyone.

My chimney needed tuck pointed, the crown needed sealed and a gap between the chimney & the side of the house needed filled. They also applied waterproofing with a 10 year warranty. The technician arrived on time & completed the work professionally. He was very courteous and answered all my questions. I was pleased to learn they also install gas fireplace inserts. I'll definitely get their estimate when I'm ready for the gas insert.

During the cleaning and repainting of the wood insert black paint was painted where it should not be and gold paint was painted on stove front where it should not be. Minor but not professional none the less. Chimney sweep stated that chimneys clay flue tiles had cracks and needed a new flue liner. I got a quote from him. Later spoke with the owner and the chimney sweep receiving a slightly better deal on a new flue liner install. For the flue liner install the Installers arrived a little late due to traffic. Spent all day trying to install and having issues. They worked from the roof and I was/am concerned that there may be damage from the time and effort they put in to the install while on the roof. Finally they knocked out bricks on the exterior so they could get the flue insert around the smoke shelf and told me the flue was now in correctly. When replacing the bricks, which were knocked out, there was too much masonry and not enough brick making the visual effect non aesthetic. I spoke with owner and he had the same individual come back and redo the job a week later. I was still not impressed but I accepted the work which was completed as I did not want any more damage to the masonry. They did put a nice cap on the chimney top. I recently tried to use the wood burner and believe there to be an issue with the install. Twice I have started a fire within the stove and twice I have had a room full of smoke before the fire and smoke begin to exit the flue. (Yes, I opened the flue vent cover.) I believe the flue is crimped and when warmer weather arrives will have them back to take a look at their work and be sure that I am getting the proper draft from the flue. Smoke before heat is indicative of an issue with the new flue insert installation.

They were wonderful as far as keeping the house clean. The first time a man came out, he told me everything was okay. The second person who came two later years said that the entire inside of the chimney needed to be replaced so I'm not sure who is telling me the right thing.

They came to provide an estimate for our interior and exterior chimney work. He came and looked around and said he'd recommend rebuilding the whole chimney from the roofline up and he'd call back with an estimate. He never called back.

Service techs were professional, friendly and were honest with the repairs that needed to be made but were not immediate concerns. They could have easily told me that it was a safety issue and the work needed to be done immediately but they didn't, they were honest. They didn't make a mess and cleaned up after themselves. I am pleased with their service. Helpful tip: don't wait until late fall to make an appointment, you will have a long wait since it is their busy season. The best time to call is in the spring or summer.

I selected this company from previous Angie's List reviews. The scheduling person was courteous and efficient. The service techs were punctual and completed the task very quickly. They showed me how the cap chain operated. During the installation, they told me there had been a fire in the chimney that caused some cracks, making the fireplace hazardous to use. I was not concerned since I have not used it in a while. I intended to have it repaired next summer. However, after calling my insurance company, who was not sure the damage would be covered, I received a notice from them stating the chimney would need to be repaired in order to renew my policy. I will have this company do the necessary repairs.

They were prompt, professional and courteous. The work was completed under warranty from their last visit of 2012. It is wonderful to see a company that stands by their work. I highly recommend using them for any chimney needs.

They did a good job. They were on time and the only thing I had to do was have them come back to reseal in a couple places on the brick and on the crown itself, other than that they did a good job.
