Project went fairly well. Did need some follow-ups to correct some areas that were not finished to my satisfaction. Also, paint crew forgot to replace one of the gutter down spouts. In the end, however, everything was addressed in a timely manner. I am overall pleased with the work.

I purchased this deal because there are about a dozen missing shingles on the roof of my house that need replacement, and because I wanted the gutters on the house and garage cleaned out. I figured all that could be accomplished within the 2-hour time limit. Chris from Ohio Exteriors and I exchanged emails, trying to find a date and time for my $199 roof maintenance that worked for us both. We went back and forth a few times but his emails stopped--i got his last email on September 30 (2011), though we hadn't yet arrived at a date that worked--so I assumed that I needed to get back to them when I had some open time on my schedule. I never got around to doing that, but a couple of weeks later, I got a call at work saying that 2 guys were on their way to my house, though I had never actually set an appointment. Coincidentally, I happened to be able to leave work early that day, so I went home to meet them. So that was STRIKE 1, even though it turned out okay in the end. After inspecting my roof, one of the guys said that the missing shingles were considered a "major repair" and therefore were not covered by this deal--STRIKE 2--and that the chimney and flashing looked fine (which I already knew). He also mentioned a loose bit of siding that he recommended I have fixed. They cleaned out the gutters on both my house and (after I specifically asked them to) the garage, which probably took them all of 20 minutes total. So, I had paid almost $200 for "up to 2 hours" of work that actually turned out to be no more than 30 minutes at my house and didn't even fix the main problem of the missing shingles--which works out to a rate of about $400/hour. They really took advantage of that "up to" clause....STRIKE 3. When the guys were leaving, they said that they would have someone from the office call me with a quote for fixing/replacing the missing shingles, but that it would probably be a minimum of $175. No one else ever contacted me...STRIKE 4. Overall, this supposed "deal" was a terrible one--$199 for a mere 30 minutes of work that did not even address the primary problem with my roof. I would also not recommend this company due to their lack of professionalism in sending workers to my house though I had no appointment; using the "up to 2 hours" and "major repair" clauses to essentially rip me off; and failing to contact me with a quote for further repairs (which I had thought they would do that day).

All work was completed in a timely and efficient matter. It was a pleasure to work with Ohio exteriors.

This guy came out and supposedly measured the difference between the heat levels in my home with a handheld device. He only stuck his head up in my attic briefly. He was suppose to follow up with a report, but he never did. His only interest seemed to be in selling me on insulation. I phoned him asking for the report and left a message and he never returned my call. I felt like I was paying them to just come out and try and sell me insulation. They did not provide any kind of service at all.

I knew I had one area where the siding needed to be repaired and one area that the soffit needed to be repaired. They handled both quickly and easily - and I have had no issues even with some big summer wind storms that we have had. They were on time, professional and efficient about their work. There was no upcharge/upsell efforts - just great service at a great price.

I had problems with a persistent leak that was not fixed by the roofing and window work that I had done. After multiple visits from the roofing company it was determined the leak was in the wall. Ohio Exteriors did the job for less than half of what the roofing company quoted me, they fixed the shoddy job the roofers had done on flashing and installing ice guard and the new siding looks terrific. The leak has finally been stopped.

Derrick came out to give us an estimate and we were happy with the price so we scheduled the work. The work took a couple days to complete. We were very happy with the outcome. The cedar boards he installed on the front of the house look great. The front of the house has never looked better. The cleaning of the gutters and installing the gutter guards has made a huge difference in getting the water to drain away from the house. We would definitely use this company again if needed.

They came out and provided the estimate quite promptly. It was higher than expected but they offered us a discount for finding them on Angie's List. They scheduled us the next week & showed up as scheduled, although not til mid-morning for what was to be a one day job. By the end of the day, they had not even removed all the shingles from the main house & worked well into the dark to get that finished. I called my main contact & asked why it was taking so long and when they would return. I also asked when the garage would get done. I was told that the 3 layers of old shingles took them longer than anticipated and they would return the next day to finish the job. Where things turned sour was when he told me the garage wasn't included. I assured him it was and he agreed to come by to review. My husband measured the home to verify the quote. The quote did indeed include the garage. However when the Ohio Exteriors contact came by, he tried to tell him it was not included. After a trip back to the office to verify his estimate sheet, it was confirmed that the garage was included. By this time, the house was finished but the day was over. The one day job was now going into day three. They returned on Monday to finish the garage. They did it in half a day because they brought more crew members - supposedly the amount we should have had the entire time to make it a one day job and not a three day job. While the issue got resolved, we ended up having to remove our dogs from the house for three days instead of one. The debris was more than I could handle and not everything got cleaned up fully. The new roof looks good but it was a bit more of a hassle than I expected.

They came out and replaced the Pipe boots - cleaned up and even called later to make sure we were satisfied with the work.

The project spanned over three days. But the experience started long before that with helping us get the needed information to the insurance company. Samples were prompty provided to help us know we were chosing the right colors and materials for our home. We were very please with the whole experience! Questions were answered with direct answers and all information requested was provided. The workers were very courteous and hard workers. This company is about going a great job at a fair price. We had some concerns about going with a smaller firm, but we asked questions and felt the answers were solid and thought out. We chose the right firm for us! We really recommend this company. James is knowledgable in his products and helped us with our decisions and we never felt pressured. Now, we enjoy coming home to a more temperate home with a great looking roof.

We had hail damage to our roof and gutters, and an insurance settlement for the claim. The company was able to provide us with the needed repairs, and also to provide attic insulation for no additional cost. We worked with them to add much-needed ventilation to the attic/roof as well. Their prices were fair. Mike, our salesman, worked very well to insure that the work crews did their jobs beautifully. The cleanup and responsiveness were excellent. I'd definitely use them again!

Another company that replaced our siding (which was under warranty) came out to check a problem with our siding. They said they noticed a problem with our roof. The company that replaced our roof was no longer in business so our warranty was worthless. We called Ohio Exteriors and they sent a service tech out to give us an estimate. He explained thoroughly why the other company thought there was a problem & assured us there was no problem. When I thanked him over & over for his honesty, he informed me we would've been looking at a 2 to 3 hundred dollar job. We chose Ohio Exteriors because 3 years ago, we had a house that was in an estate & it needed a new roof. After a couple other estimates, they came in appx $500 lower. The quality, professionalism, and friendliness guaranteed our return.The owner, James, is very personable and available to his customers. In the office, Chris was very friendly, professional as well as patient with my many questions and phone calls. The service tech, Dave S., was as well friendly & professional. Overall the HONESTY of this company is the highlight of this comment. Good to see honesty still exists today.

Company rep Mike was very helpful in the selection of our Wayne Dalton garage door. Installation was very professional. Our new insulated garage door looks great!

Ohio Exteriors came for an estimate after we got the information from Angie's List. The presentation was thorough and the benefits of our roof ventilation system explained very well in laymen's terms. The company showed up when they said they would, did the work in one day, and we could not be happier. The roof vent made a 4 to 5 degree difference in the top floors of our home. I know that doesn't sound like much, however, when it is 95 degrees outside, it made such a difference. Our air conditioner had to work less and we could definitely tell a difference in our bedroom's temperatures. I am glad to have used Ohio Exteriors. We will use their company for all our roofing and/or exterior needs.

I bought the $200 roof tune-up coupon from Angie's List; the company called me promptly to schedule the visit. When they called, I also scheduled a separate visit to assess my attic ventilation. The roof tune-up went well. The roof technician arrived on time, and he completed the maintenance package professionally and as advertised; i.e., tightening gutter spikes, cleaning cutters, fixing nail-pops, inspecting flashing and boots, etc. He noted that the soffit on the front of the house was rotten and would need to be estimated as a separate job. I already had an appointment scheduled for the ventilation estimate, so I arranged to have the soffit estimated then. The estimator also arrived promptly. He was frank in his assessment of my attic ventilation. Given the age of my house and the amount of sun it gets, I already was doing as much reasonably I could do to ventilate the attic and keep the rest of the house cool. He then estimated for the front soffit, which came to $315. The soffit job also went well. The same roof technician was assigned to the job. He arrived promptly, did the work, and cleaned up the debris. The job took most of the day. He showed me how the old soffit was unpainted and a splice-job of many small boards; both factors contributed to the rotting. The new boards covered the same span with just two boards, and they were painted to prevent future water damage. I appreciated the explanation and the quality of the repair. I am very satisfied with the work of Ohio Exteriors, and I would hire them again.

I think they need a little bit of improvement. The guy that we spoke to seemed rushed and seemed to be in hurry. He really did not want to hang around and answer questions. He just came did his thing and that was it. I was a little disappointed in that respect. He was on time and got back to us pretty quickly with the completed estimate. I will not consider him to provide us with an estimate in the future.

The finished product looks great. This was the 2nd job I used Ohio Exteriors for and that quality was top notch on both jobs. From start to finish all went smoothly and I would highly recommend these guys.

At the time of the call I had a leak appear in the family room where the chimney would meet. I asked at the time of my call to have the flashing and the roof checked over. DAve repaired the flashing and explained the state of our roof.

Spoke to a rep on the phone who was helpful and professional. Work was scheduled andcompleted quickly but the price was a bit higher then was expected.

It was very easy...no intrusion on my time, the workers were very curteous.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. They were good. I didn't know if it was worth the cost. I didn't feel it was an exceptionally good price. It was either $150 for $300 worth of work or $200 for $400 worth of work. I didn't think what he did was worth $400 but I was satisfied with what he did. I didn't get any comparisons for price.

The job went very well. They have a lot of follow up and called all the time, every day. He was responsive. He was a contractor so both he and the manufacturer of the windows were responsive to any concerns we had.

Ohio Exteriors did an outstanding job. The estimate/sales process was easy and no pressure. Our salesman, Mike, is an outstanding individual and we enjoyed working with him very much. We are very satisfied with the outcome of the job. It was done in one day and looks outstanding. On property was left clean and Mike checked everything personally to make sure that we were satisfied. Overall, please consider this a strong recommendation for this company.

They did a good job, we just decided not to have the work done at that time. I would consider using them.
