It went fine. They are supposed to follow up with an estimate on putting insulation in the attic. This was part of the inspection in the package. Due to weather, it took a little longer, but that was understandable. They were very good and I am very satisfied so far.

Initially the work seemed to be fine. Within a month I had 2 incidents with leaking that was identical to the issues I had before I hired Ohio Exteriors (OE from here forward). They came out the first time and said that some flashing hadn't been secured appropriately so they went ahead and fixed that. The second incident they came out and said that some debris from nearby trees had accumulated on the roof which was causing water to build up and create the same leak. They cleared the debris and the issue seemed to temporarily resolve itself. Now, months later, I am getting a large amount of leaking, from the SAME area. I contacted OE and they sent a rep out to inspect. He took some pictures of a skylight near the leak and said that he thinks it is probably a seal on the skylight and that they know a company that would probably deal with it. I hadn't heard back from them or the company they mentioned for a week so I decided to follow up. Today (2/2/15) I contact OE to follow up and talked to a man who I believe to be the owner, Chris. I explained to him that I had been expecting to hear back from them or the skylight / glass / window company that their rep had suggested and I hadn't yet so I was following up. After some explaining of my situation and expectations he told me that they (OE) aren't a skylight company, so they would need to contact a specialist and that a skylight repair may cost me just as much as it had already cost me to replace my roof. I made it clear that I didn't understand how they could remove the roof from my house to the point where I am seeing sunlight when I look up from inside my house and not be able to either test / check / or diagnose an issue with an element of the roof that they were repairing around anyways. His resolution was that he would call around and try to get more information for me. Unfortunately, it is not information that I need. I already know that my roof is still leaking. What I need is the company that I paid over $13,000 to make this right, provide me with some respect and customer service, and resolve this issue so that I am not spending even more of my hard earned money and valuable time.

The representative showed up on time. He was professional in addressing the area of concern. He told us that our Deal purchase would not be applicable to the service needed.

I bought the big deal. Their scheduling is 4 weeks out and this does not work for what I need done. Please refund this big deal I purchased.

Great communication. On time service. Left area clean and neat. I had a previous bad experience with another roofing service. Dealing with James Green was so completely different and painless I would definitely use Ohio Exteriors in future.

The crew showed up when they said they would. They took precautions to avoid damaging the landscape and garage door. They removed the existing roof shingles, hauled all the debris away, and put the new roof on all in one day. They took a large magnet to our yard, driveway and landscaping to remove all nails. The workmanship was flawless and James Green, the owner, came by the next day to inspect the job. Ohio Exteriors took care of all permits. I will use the company for any work on our house in the future.

I can't say enough good things about this company. My roof had wind damage so my salesman, Jim, worked with me and my insurance company to replace the roof. Jim kept in touch with me the whole time and always answered or returned my calls promptly. Everyone was polite, professional, and prompt. I was so impressed that I had them put new gutters on the house also. The whole process of new roof and gutters went as smoothly as it could possibly go. Definitely recommend!!

The company came out and said I was not a candidate for this work as my windows needed more work than was covered by the winterization coupon. I got a refund. ANGIE"S LIST< PLEASE NOTE: The questions on the above survey do not have anything to do with my experience as I did not use this company and got a refund. The experience is therefore "neutral" or "not applicable", however, a tried to answer this survey so you would stop asking me everytime I logged into Angies List and you insisted that I answer all questions, even though they were not applicable. This is a waste of my time and your time. I could not rate the company because I did not use them but you insisted on a rating (I put "A" because it wasn't anything else either). You also insist on a dollar amount and a date of service. This review should not be shared with anyone but my comments here should be directed to whoever writes these surveys to give people a change to "opt out" without answering all the questions.

I used Ohio Exteriors before. This time it was to do an insurance claim on a job they did for me last year. The original job entailed replacing the underlay of part of my roof and shingles as well as work on the carport roof. Then this year, a tree fell on much of the work they completed last year so I called on them again. This time my insurer required several bids. They were prompt with their estimates, also they were reasonable. Most of the work has been completed except for a special order window on my 1896 built rental. They are easy to work with and I am happy with their work. Just be aware that they charge a small surcharge if you use a credit card so I pay by check now.

This was our first roofing job in over 15 years of home ownership, so the whole experience was new to us. From our initial contact with the sales representative to the final inspection by the owner, we were pleased with the information we were provided, the roofing options given and the responsiveness to our questions. On the day of installation, the crew showed up on time and they worked efficiently. It did rain during installation, and the installation supervisor stopped by to verify that the work was at a point where rain would not negatively affect the job and to reassure us there was not a problem. The worksite was cleaned up to our satisfaction (I have found a couple small pieces of tar paper and a couple nails, but I don't feel that's unreasonable). I did appreciate the fact that the final inspection and payment took place a week after installation because in the intervening time it got hot (so the shingles settled) and it rained hard (we verified there were no leaks). We are pleased with the new roof.

The people with whom we worked at Ohio Exteriors were outstanding. Bill came the first day we called for an estimate to repair our kitchen wall and exterior siding. Bill was helpful and professional, and his estimate was within a few dollars of the claims adjuster. They were able to schedule the work promptly. Whenever we called the office, Janice was wonderful, always helpful, accommodating, and so friendly. She returned our telephone calls and emails promptly, which we greatly appreciated. We spoke with Chris on a number of occasions, and he was so insightful in his explanations regarding the repairs and the work schedules. Chris, too, was accommodating and friendly. Derek, who dismantled the interior wall and rebuilt the new wall, was phenomenal. He always arrived when he said that he would. He was friendly, accommodating, and thorough in his work. The wall is absolutely beautiful. He and Miles painted the wall to perfectly match the existing walls of the kitchen. Every member of Ohio Exteriors' staff with whom we worked, was wonderful, total assets to the company. We are thankful and blessed to have found Ohio Exteriors on Angie's List. We will definitely call them again for any future work that needs to be done in our home. We highly recommend Ohio Exteriors.

Forced to reschedule several times due to adverse weather conditions, but when our appointment finally coincided with a good weather day to be on the roof, the roofer showed up promptly, performed the necessary work, described the roof's condition and showed me a series of digital photos he had taken to document the roof's condition and work completed. Would use the company again if needed.

This company was great to work with. They are knowledgeable, work quickly and skillfully, were polite, and responsive. We had several occasions to discuss options with sound advice provided. As a result, a couple things were removed from scope while a few were added, all for very good reasons. Bottom line, we were always confident that they had our best interests in mind and understood that our primary objective was to make the house look great by staying consistent with it while increasing protection from weather and woodpeckers.

The crew arrived sometime on Friday afternoon and worked into the night to get the job completed in one day. They were steady in their work and they were able to complete it in one day. I had a tree blocking one of the gutters, and they asked if I wanted it cut down, and they did, saving me some money. They put the tree in the back yard of which I was able to cut it in to pieces to dispose of. That was a great gesture above and beyond the call of duty, so to speak. We have had several rain storms over the last week and the gutters seemed to work perfect. The sales representative and crew all seemed to be nice and very good at their jobs. I would recommend this company.

Scheduling was good. They were able to make it out in about two weeks. Everything was done nicely.

As asked by the company, I was able to provide the manufacturer's name and color of the siding so they could get an estimate and color match for the house. I had to call weekly to get an update on what was happening with the siding. I was told that the initial manufacturer no longer made this siding and they would have to order a similar siding to color match. It took at least 4-5 weeks for the salesperson, Bill, to come back out to do a color match (I had to call every week to make sure someone was still looking into this!). Once he did so, I then received a call from the office assistant saying we would have to purchase a whole box of the siding to have one panel replaced and the estimate went from $250 to $500. At this time, I called another company for an estimate, gave them all of the same information, and he was able to replace the panel within a week at half the cost - $180. The color matched perfectly and it was the ORIGINAL siding manufacturer and color. I feel like we got played because this was a little job for the company and they didn't feel it was worth their time. I was disappointed that I was the one making all of the calls and nothing got resolved. The salesperson never apologized for the delay in took in the attempting to get this job done. It just wasn't a priority for them.

We are very pleased with the result. The Ohio Exterior Team replaced our damaged trim with PVC composite board. They were very professional, answered our questions, made some modifications, and also took care of some other minor damage. They cleaned up at the end of each day and kept us informed throughout the process. We would definitely recommend them and will use them again, if the need arises.

The customer service was exceptional and they did a great job.

I scheduled the first call and they were able to book something a few days out. Issue 1: On the day of the service, I received a call that they needed to reschedule. What I was told was that because of the rain and storms from the previous week, they had a backlog of work they needed to get to, since they couldn't complete this work while it was raining. I understand that things come up, but they would have known this well in advance. Instead, they contacted me a few hours before my service/review was scheduled. This shows very little consideration since I had to take off work to be home for this service. When I told the lady this, I received a pathetic apology. Issue 2: The service was rescheduled for the following Monday. On Monday morning I received another call that they needed to reschedule again. The lady on the phone explained that the individual on their team had needed a surgery that weekend and they would not be available to come out and review my issue. Medical emergencies happen, but again, I was give no notice of this, when they clearly knew this resource was not going to be able to assist me. Given their previous cancellation, one would think that an organization with any sort of customer service would send another resource out to review my leak. I seriously doubt they have one person on their team. I can understand that unplanned things come up, and it's hard to make everyone happy, but for two incidents to happen within a week, and little effort was done to make the situation better, I have no problem giving this provider a bad review. Maybe next time they will think about their prospects and how their schedules are impacted by their lack of customer service. I will never reach out to this provider again.

Within a day or two after I approved the estimate, they called and said they had a spot open the next morning, and could they come over. I said heck ya. They said I didn't need to be there; the guy would know what to do. I have had Ohio Exteriors over before, and this is totally normal. They come in, they fix it right, and they are gone! Seriously, I want to adopt these guys! The repair they did on the siding was spectacular. Even the wife was happy, and that hardly ever happens. They matched the colors and the grain and everything. It's perfect. I can't say enough good things about this company. You won't be disappointed. There work is outstanding and their pricing is quite reasonable. This is a company you can trust to do the right thing(s).
