Ohio Exteriors expertly removed our old cedar shake shingles and installed Hardie siding. What a difference. They were great to work with and did an amazing job. We selected Ohio Exteriors because they were a Hardie certified installer and the overwhelming high reviews on Angie's List. We got a few estimates for the job and OE was very competitive. Their crew did an expert job and the house has never looked better.

Excellent & Professional! Attentive personal service and communication. Cleanup was also excellent. Quality of work worth cost. When roof damage was encountered, it was repaired before roofing continued @ no extra cost.

Ohio Exteriors did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs exterior work done.

Bill who came to give the quote was helpful and clear. Communications from that point on were hit or miss. I had to followup multiple times over a couple of months to find out the status on getting my job scheduled. I was told part of the reason was that the company was having trouble finding quality carpenters to hire (should have been a red flag). The actual work done was only average. It's done, but kinda sloppy (bent sill plates, caulk messy, etc). It's not real clean looking. And even though we had screens on the windows when work started, and asked they be put back on, no action was taken to make sure they would fit. So now I have a screens, but they won't fit on these windows, so am going to have to resolve this issue myself (company didn't have any thoughts on how to address). Other comments on the work effort: - Following items were left on the driveway or in the grass, for me (thankfully not my kids) to find: sawzall blade, half finished drink bottles, nails, rag, empty caulk container in the bushes - Put construction and other trash in a clearly marked recycling container. I had to clean it all out and throw it away properly. - Kept leaving b/c he forget stuff needed - Didn’t fill in nail holes in trim

Ok. Called in and they were courteous, but wouldn't come out to Mount Sterling to give me a quote. I actually went with Allstate Exteriors for the job.

Excellent. I had three contractors give me a quote. I chose Ohio Exteriors because they were the most thorough and reasonably priced for what I needed. They didn't push for me to purchase a whole new roof. My current roof is only half way through it's life expectancy and we had just purchased the house a year ago so I was not ready for that expense. They were professional, took lots of pictures for me to see before and after the work was done. Answered all my questions in a timely fashion and kept me posted when their were changes in the time schedule. I would definitely use them again.

It went very well on both. From start to finish, everything went smoothly. The workers showed up on time and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I would hire them again the next time I need some work done.

HIRE THEM!! I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Ohio Exteriors, from the very first phone call to the final walk through!!! Janice (in the office) was friendly and efficient. James, the owner, came out himself and inspected my home. I was very impressed with his honesty when he told me the trim on the back was in fine shape and he would recommend replacing only the front, around both garage doors and one side. He showed me lots of different options. His different crews were outstanding. The first day the trim around the garage doors was replaced while I was at work. The work was very well done and they even replaced the garage door seals. The next day the majority of the house trim was removed and replaced. I was home and watched Chris' two man crew work extremely hard for 11 hours!! They were meticulous, super tidy and very polite. They even agreed to replace a burned out light bulb for me while they were up on their ladders. The next day the last piece was finished by Ken. Again, very meticulous work and I even watched him wipe down the trim pieces (white) before he hung them!! A week or so later the gutter crew came and in one day removed the old gutters and replaced them with new. I was a little worried when I saw all the tiny scraps of sharp gutter material on the ground during the process (I have a dog) but it was ALL cleaned up by the time they finished. Without a doubt I will use this company again.

Quality of work was great. There were some snafus with regard to communication with an employee who left the company during the project, which led to some disappointment and delay (along with season change), but James (owner) made everything right, and Janice, the painting crew, and all were good to work with.

Very reliable and professional contractor. The entire process from estimation through final installation was seamless and very well done. Proces were very competitve for the market. The labor crew was skilled and professional with great attention to detail. The house not only looks beautiful, but I have confidence in the materials used and know they were installed properly.

The installer, Ken, kept us informed of what he was doing and made sure that we were happy with the work. The only criticism is, we were not informed by the Company when the installer would arrive until the night before.

They deck is built very sturdy and lumber has a warranty of 50 years. They gave me suggestions on painting or staining the deck.

The back story is that at first I tried using an inexpensive handyman type service (I tried two or three) and they all said no, this kind of word is tricky because if you replace some of the boards in a porch or deck, unless you do it just right, the rest of the boards can be adversely affected). And so when Angie's list offered a deal for repair work done by Ohio Exteriors (which had good reviews), I tried them. Most of the news is very good. The people I dealt with were all very friendly, knowledgeable and good about getting back to me promptly. It took a little while to schedule my job, but I didn't really mind; it wasn't especially time sensitive, and I had the sense that mine was a smaller job that was to be fitted in between bigger ones. The man arrived around 1 pm to do the work and was done in four hours. He seemed very skilled, efficient and all the indications are he did a fine job replacing five boards in the rear deck, a few more in the side deck, and four or so on the front porch. He also repaired a wooden staircase leading to the back deck, and did a very fine job with that, too. He cleaned up and left, and I was happy to have had him do the work. The only point of concern had to do with price. This company doesn't give you an estimate in the ordinary sense. They come up with a price and ask you to agree to sign a contract for that amount. Their first estimate was simply too high ($750 for the front porch and $750 for the decks for a total of $1,500), and so I suggested $500 each for a total of $1,000, and that's what we agreed on. When I did so, however, I wasn't sure how many person hours would required to do the work, because it was possible that as the work was done (rotting boards being removed, etc.) that the job might be bigger than it outwardly appeared at first. Instead, the opposite happened. One man did all the work in four hours. And so I queried his supervisor about this, asking him to break the costs for labor and materials. He replied saying that once a price is set, he would not break down the costs; though he did offer to take another $200 off the price. And so I paid a total of $800 for the work, but I wondered a bit if I had been overcharged. I can't be sure because I don't know what the lumber costs were (the materials used were lumber, screws and glue), nor do I know what the normal hourly rate is for such work. (I haven't had this kind of work done before). And so my one tip is to be sure to ask the company to break down their costs in advance of signing the contract. That's what I will do next time if I use this firm again, which I likely will.

The provider came as scheduled, on time, and performed the inspection.

Everything about Ohio Exteriors was simply outstanding! LeRoy did the initial inspection after we noticed loose shingles. He took cell phone photos to show us several problem areas with the roof. Before, during and after the project, LeRoy was clear and consistent in his communication with us. He even provided real-time updates due to approaching storms so that we never wondered about the status of the project. LeRoy explained everything clearly and provided before-and-after photos with details of all of the work. The gutter installers even cleaned up mulch that had washed onto our driveway from an overnight storm. The whole team provided top-notch work. I'd hire LeRoy in a heartbeat to do any work! He's a dream contractor because he's super competent, does what he says he'll do, shows up when he says he will, and keeps clients informed every step of the way. The whole team left the property spotless after the project. Scheduling, billing and other correspondence with the office was professional and timely.

The roof technician completed the inspection and later provided us with a detailed inspection report including photos. The inspection was supposed to include minor caulking, resealing & nail pop repair. I am unsure of how much of this sealing was completed by the technician because the repair estimate included some sealing of nail pops. Maybe the ones in the estimate require more extensive repair. My husband thought the $5333 estimate was on the high side for repairs, so we have to get more estimates before getting the work done. Overall, from the detail in the report, I believe Ohio Exterior did a good job on the inspection and the price of the inspection was fair.

I once again need to praise Ohio Exteriors and Leroy for their wonderful job they did for me. I had 3 sun tunnels installed in the kitchen, and the job was done very professionally. Leroy was courteous, on-time and everything was cleaned up after the work. I will look forward to hiring this company for all future roof needs. Thanks O.E.

The repair technician (Mr. LeRoy Blankenship) came out on 5/31/16 to give me an estimate on replacing some shingles which had blown off and landed in the yard. He returned on 6/1/16 to do the actual roof repair. He was punctual, polite and very nice. The actual replacement of the shingles and roof inspection took about an hour. In addition he took a mattress which I was going to put out for the trash tomorrow and carried it to the curb for me. I am very pleased with his work.

At first I thought the price was a little high but when I saw how hard they worked, all the equipment they had to bring, and all that they really had to do, I was very satisfied with the cost. They did an excellent job. Replaced all the rotten wood around the bay window with cvp that the brought. Took most of the morning to get the rotten wood off. Looks like they then applied new insulation, and then started the trim work. Looks exactly the same as it did before but the cvp will not rot! Yeahhhh! When they were done with the window they started to install the cvp door trim we had already bought. It looks great. Much better than I expected. They cleaned up very well. I will tell you that they called me about a week after I bought their Angie's list coupon. The guy was great. They faxed me the estimate. Said they would call me back to set up a date. Well, a few days later he called and said he had a cancellation and could come out the next day. WOW! Worked great for us. I would highly recommend Ohio Exteriors. Even my husband, who is veryyyyyyy hard to please, says they did a great job.

LeRoy Blankenship was the service tech who was sent out at my request in November, 2015. I had detected some flashing that was pulling away from the roof shingles and asked him to fully inspect my roof. I purchased my home new in 2000 but had to put a new roof on in 2003 due to hail damage. This replacement was done improperly and had to be replaced in 2006. There have been no issues since then other than the flashing pulling away from wind and wear in one place. I asked LeRoy to inspect the boots on some of the exhaust stacks as well. He reported that the flashing was not to current code and recommended some repairs which I accepted. LeRoy came out several times to make the repair once the winter weather had lifted. He was very conscientious, courteous and thorough. I would use him again without question.

Overall I was very pleased with the jobs OhioExteriors did for me. Initially I had great difficulty finding someone to do the jobs for me. Once I was able to locate OhioExteriors and contacted them about my problems they were very responsive. They sent someone out within a few days to look at my house and give me an estimate. They arrived on the scheduled work date and did excellent job on the projects. I was concerned about how the new siding would match the old, but it turned out great and you can't even tell where the replacement boards our located. I would definitely use OhioExteriors in the future.

I submitted a request through Angie's List for a roof replacement estimate to two different companies. Both companies including Ohio Exteriors contacted me via email. I called Ohio Exteriors on 4/11/16 and spoke with a lady who advised me she would have to speak with the owner to determine a date to be scheduled. Today is April 16th and I have not received any contact from Ohio Exteriors. I have since already had the other company out to get an estimate. I would hope this is just an exception since Ohio Exteriors does have a good rating.

This company has been great with customer service and work standards. They are very responsive and accommodating to my schedule. We just had a big wind storm come through, and a large branch just clipped the eave, displacing a couple of shingles. I knew they would be busy because of it, but they were able to squeeze me in. They stopped over immediately, after hours, just to make sure the roof wouldn't leak, then came back when it was convenient for me to complete the repairs. They kept in touch over the week with emails and phone calls, and even called afterward to see if the work was done to my satisfaction. They had performed previous work for me before, and their work was just as great as before. I might also note, I usually do not write reviews unless something was really wrong or really right, and I think they should be recognized to being 'really right'!

LeRoy was terrific. He showed pictures of everything he had done, and explained clearly why that was necessary. He advised me about future care of my roof. I've already sent an e-mail praising him to the company, and would certainly use them again.
