Ken installed a new roof vent because the old one was not up to building code requirements and was a fire hazard. He also discovered some shoddy work by a roofing contractor that I was unaware of, so I'm grateful for his bringing it to my attention. In addition, he cleaned out all the lint that had accumulated in our dryer while the vent was blocked, thus eliminating another fire hazard. Ken was personable, friendly, professional, and efficient, and I am more than satisfied with the work he performed. He alleviated two unmistakable fire hazards, and we immediately saw a 200% increase in the efficiency of our dryer. I recommend him highly.

It worked out very fine. He seemed very competent, came out the next day and did, you know, what we asked him to do. One of his diagnoses was one of the vents on top of the house should have been unblocked. Apparently, it was blocked and he charged us $50 to get on a ladder to close a little door off of it. We kind of did not like that too much, but everything else he did was very professional. The guy was very knowledgeable. He did a good job and is a good resource. Really, the guy seemed to know what he was doing so I think he is a good person to recommend.

Perfect, and then some. We selected this company based on a long list of very favorable reviews on Angie's list, called the number provided on the web site and scheduled a diagnostic visit. Mr Ken Mladonicky called 30 minutes prior to his scheduled arrival time at our residence, and he arrived right on time. We explained our situation, and he confirmed that it was something he could take care of. He spent some time analyzing what we had and what he needed to do, then worked up a detailed estimate, indicating that, if desired, he could take care of it right away, and that only a small part of the existing wall and ceiling would have to be removed. Given the amount of time and materials necessary to do the work, the estimate was quite reasonable, and my wife and I agreed Ken could begin right away. As he was finishing up, a part he was installing in the vertical portion of the new dryer vent slipped and struck a piece of plumbing in the wall that was connected to a sink on the other side of that wall, damaging that piece of plumbing and creating what might have turned into a leak in the future. Ken could have ignored that (we certainly would not have known), but instead he immediately told us what happened, showed us the damaged plumbing piece, then went to a nearby hardware store, procured a new part, and installed it, at no charge to us. The total time Ken spent with us was about 3 1/2 from arrival to finish. Our laundry room was left spotless, the work was done perfectly and exactly has Ken had described it would be done, our potential fire hazard from the none-code-compliant dryer vent is out of our lives, there is now next-to-no chance some little critter will wander into our home via the new outside dryer vent cover, and: the bill was exactly what had been estimated. As stated: Perfect, and then some.

As stated above the tech arrived right on time which is a really good way to start a home repair. He was very thorough in explaining exactly what was needed to be done and how he was going to do it. He was polite and had a very professional manner doting the entire visit. I was highly satisfied with the entire process.

Ken arrived at our house twenty minutes earlier than the arranged time. This was an added bonus for us. He took the time to explain the details of the project and walk us through the new vent once it was installed. He took the time to clean up after himself. He was very courteous and professional throughout the duration of the project. Ken was very honest with us as he checked our dryer and informed us that we did not need a cleaning for three to five years. He did not just try to take our money or perform unneeded services. He showed up right on time and did an excellent job. The work was thorough, professional and quick. Ultimately, he ended up cleaning out the vent line, which had a critter storing nuts in it, cleaned out the dryer itself, installed a new flexible tube from the dryer to the vent, and installed a new cover on the outer vent hole. When installing the new cover, he even chiseled down and leveled the bricks to get a tight fight so no animals could re-enter the vent line. It was an amazing difference on how the dryer functions. Only slight negative was the cost. In addition to the Angie's list deal ($140 for $70), we ended up paying an additional$200+ to get the work completed. A bit of a shock, but given the vent had not been cleaned since the house was built 25 years ago, perhaps it was needed.

Well, I had an issue with the vent being blocked and the wrong vent was put on my the roofers ten years ago (before we owned the house). He was able to fix the problem and was very respectful and polite. However, my concern lies with the price. It is not mentioned that there is a service call charge which eats up the majority of the credit. Also, it was $389 for him to go on the roof and replace the existing vent with the correct one. If I had to do it over, I would have shopped around for a better deal. Paid $73 through Angie's List. Paid $332.18 when he visited. Like I said, nice man, very punctual, considerate and did the work in a timely manner just WAY more than what I had expected to pay. Update: Roofing company came out for a roof inspection. They advised me that the vent that was installed, was not installed properly. The vent was not connected to the pipe coming up into the attic. The lint was just blowing into the open space. The old vent was cut off and part of it was still on the roof, a lip that was collecting water. The flange for the vent was not installed either. They suggested I contact Dryer Vent Wizard, which I have done. Yes a written estimate was provided prior to the work being performed, he is correct on that. Update#2: Ken came out to see what the roofers had found. He said that the pipe was not connected to the vent because he was concerned that the roofers would rip it off. He was very apologetic and was going to install correctly but I declined as the roofers will be replacing the whole vent and pipe. He was concerned and courteous.

He did something fabulous. I was having problems with my exhaust fans in my bathrooms. He went to great extent and went outside to make sure that they were not blocked. He was fabulous. It was not included in the service or in their expertise to do the exhaust fans. He was willing to crawl around and go outside and see where they went out and determine that everything was fine. He went beyond expectations. He spent a lot of time about four hours here. He did excellent.

A professional service across the Board. Clearly has the experience to tackle this challenge (a dryer vent that has not been professionally cleaned in 20 years). In addition, and as important, Ken showed concerned for the customer, attention to detail and the equipment necessary to perform this task. He was meticulous in the way he took care of our equipment, provided me with a written quote, and get the job done in a prompt manner. The task was not an easy one...and our family clapped when Ken was able to clear the vent (Imagine an explosion of lint leaving the outside vent! --- wished I had taped it!). I recommend his services to anyone who notices a dryer not performing the way it should (taking longer to dry the clothes or like in our case, the dryer's sensor going off indicating a clog in the line).

We recently purchased the Dryer Vent Wizard big deal for dryer vent cleaning on Angie's List. Ken, the owner/technician, is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He completed the job to our satisfaction and even replaced some parts, at no charge, that he had used when he did work for us previously We first used Dryer Vent Wizard to clean our dryer vent in 2012 based on reviews and a deal on Angie's List. Our dryer vent runs over 20 feet in the crawl space under our house and upon inspection, Ken found that it was only partially venting outside. He thoroughly explained the problem and what was needed to repair it, did the repairs, and then cleaned out the dryer vent. We've been very happy with Dryer Vent Wizard and highly recommend the company and their services.

They came promptly and cleaned our dryer vent, which was clogged from the second floor laundry room to the roof. There was a screen on the roof vent that is up to code, but also collects lint, which gets wet, causing the lint to collect from there all the way back to the dryer. They charged extra to climb the ladder to the roof and removed the screen. However, we will only need the vent cleaned out now about every 3 years instead of yearly. I would work with this company again.

The owner was the technician. He arrived very promptly according to schedule. He was very professional, a quality which is very desirable to have in a "trade" person. He explained very clearly the options without applying any professor and proceeded to execute the chosen solution in a very efficient manor. We are very pleased and highly recommend this company and their service.

Very professional. This was a perplexing job since the dryer vent was clean, yet when the drier was on, water would be dripping through the ceiling. A complete investigation of the vent system was done. No signs of cracking or blockage in the system. Making sure the coil vent was not the culprit, a new shorter one was installed. So far so good. When I ran a load of clothes in the dryer, there was no leakage.
