I carry 3 ladders with me, including a 20 ft extension ladder. This customer was on a second floor condo. To access the roof, I would have needed 32 ft extension ladder. In situations like this, I will rent necessary tools/equipment to do the job. When I have to rent tools/equipment I charge the customer the cost of rental. But I don't mark up rentals, I charge them actual cost. In this case, the customer did not want to pay for the rental.

Description of Work: Ken arrived punctually for the appointment. He had a very friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. Ken did a preliminary air-flow check which showed adequate air speed at the duct exit. Based on this, Ken said that the vent was in very good shape and didn't need cleaning. He did not feel comfortable making me pay when he felt he hadn't really done much. I'm just blown away by Ken's honesty/ethics and the overall experience!
