Installation went smoothly. The crew was on-time and had had everything ready to go. There was a minor delay in receiving the door due to factory problems, but the delay was acceptable. The first benefit we noticed was a huge drop in the number of stink bugs and Lady bugs compared to the previous year. Heating the room is now much more efficient. We are completely satisfied.

Very well. The door was installed on schedule, perfect fit and trim out, and post installation cleanup was exceptional.

They were great. The price was competitive with other vendors. The service was fantastic. They moved up the installation date, but rain moved it back. Their communication was perfect, I always knew when they would try what. The door looks wonderful, and the instillation was very professionally done. We are very happy.

Ken came right when I was told he would come. He went right to work getting the old window out. He had to overcome a few obstacles: not being able to screw the new frame into the marble sills; having to set up his ladder in the middle of some established bushes etc... Larry, the owner of the company was on site for at least half of the time. Ken finished work earlier than I expected too. I'm very happy with the work that was done and will use them in the future when I decide to replace the rest of my windows.

After installation, my back door would not close and latch without putting my shoulder into it an pushing, my wife could not close. The installer told me at the time this was how doors should work for energy efficiency - a tight seal. He said the gasket would compress over a couple of days and work fine. I disagreed, waited a few days; the door did not self correct. I had them back out to my house to adjust, after three attempts they still could not get the door to latch and deadbolt properly. The owner called me, he was loud, belligerent and aggressive because he had to pay for his installers to make additional trips to fix the door. I told him to never contact me again and sent the check. I still have to push h****** the top half of my door in order for it to latch. Additionally, the inside trim around the door was pieced together with 8 pieces (should have been 3) of what I assume was scrap. All at 90 degree angles instead of being properly mitered - especially at the corners. I paid a contractor working in my neighborhood to tear out and replace.

The installer was unbelievably good. When they installed the door, they had to take out some of the header, which then caused them to use different trim on the inside of the home. They did a lot of things very well, but they could have itemized the bill, so that it didn't take me about 4 hours to deduct what would count for an energy credit. The person who I had the most contact with from the company, he could have been better about following up, I always had to make the first connect.

A couple of years ago I embarked on a DIY project and replaced the backdoor to our house. We soon realized the door leaked, especially when rain from the south occurred. We also wanted to replace the door leading to the garage, so we contacted Columbus Window and Door for an estimate. Larry came to our house and assessed our needs. Rather than recommending a total replacement of the backdoor he felt the problem could be solved by simply reinstalling it correctly. This course of action would actually save us money! He then gave us a reasonable quote for both jobs so we scheduled the project to take care of both doors at one time. Ken arrived on the scheduled date and did a great job with both doors even though it was raining off and on throughout the day and the temperature was very low. We were very pleased with both Larry and Ken?s professionalism and the quality of the work and would highly recommend Columbus Window and Door to anyone in need of these types of services. A very positive experience.

Very easy company to work with. Larry came to my home soon after I first contacted the company, made the measurements and discussed product options with me. They were even able to fit me in the installation schedule earlier than expected. I am very happy with the look and function of my new doors.

We were very impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, competence and cleanliness of this company. They know what they're doing, which is so refreshing and welcome these days. We had a large job, were told it would take 2-3 days, they brought in 4 guys who had lots of experience and obvious work ethic and got the job done right in just 1 day and 2 hours on the 2nd day - we were amazed and thrilled with the results. We strongly recommend them and plan to have them again.

Larry, the owner, was great to work with. He met with us to provide the initial estimate for the work. He took the measurements, discussed the details of the installation and repair work to be done, and provided a wide selection of doors to pick from. We were able to find a very good high quality door (much better than the original) with paint colors that almost exactly matched our exterior shutter color as well as interior wall color. The price quoted was in line with other estimates I had been given for installing the exact same time of door along with the floor repairs. Ken, the installer who I found out had 25+ yrs experience, was great as well. On the day of the appointment, he wasted no time getting set up and starting to work once he arrived. He did the entire job by himself in approx. 8 hours and the results were impressive. He removed the old door unit and installed the new unit without damaging anything, including interior or exterior trim. He put insulation around the frame of the unit where there had been none before. His attention to detail was excellent, including the caulking and sealing of the exterior seams. The water rotted flooring was torn out and replaced with solid, higher quality material. I talked with him off and on during the course of the day and he didn't miss a beat completing the work and had a good sense of humor, very personable. There was a significant amount of material removed during the day which was thrown outside on cardboard boxes. Once he was finished, he cleaned up thoroughly both inside and out to the point that you couldn't really tell any work had been done. The new door unit greatly improved the overall structural soundness, security, and appearance of our house so we couldn't be happier. We no longer have to be concerned with water leakage and should see improved energy efficiency by doing a better job of retaining heat in the winter and cool air in the summer. In addition, having a good solid floor to walk on again instead of one where a hole was ready to form eliminated a potential safety hazard. We will certainly be back in touch with Larry for any door or window needs in the future.

Good experience...would use them again

Larry came out to inspect the work to be done and provide a quote. He was very nice, easy to work with and very knowledgeable about his products. On 5/7/2015 Larry's installation crew arrived on time and ready to go. They were polite, hard workers and did a wonderful job. The new doors close easily, seal tight, and they were able to reuse our existing door casing so that it continued to match with the other interior doors (something the other companies quoted that they would not be doing.) The installers were very thorough with the clean up. Overall the entire experience was great and I highly recommend Columbus Door and Window. We love the look of our new doors.

I would highly recommend Columbus Window & door. I just had the best experience with a company I have had in a very long time. I do not have one complaint and that is so nice to say since I have been doing a lot of updating in our home and we have had some pretty bad experiences recently. These guys were on time,professional,friendly,efficient,clean,affordable and just easy to talk to and do business with. I am a very picky person and I pay very close attention to how details are being done, usually I am up in their business because I expect it to be quality work if I'm paying. I did not have to do that with these guys, I observed from the very start and saw they cared as much as I did and took pride in quality work. What a relief!!!! I actually felt comfortable not watching their every move, that is hard for me. They cleaned up their entire mess and left my house in the condition they arrived in. One of my window sills did crack when the old window was removed, I did not know or notice at all. The installer was honest and notified me of the damage and before I even said anything he had already begun the process of ordering a new one to replace the damaged one at his cost. He did not even have to tell me, because honestly, I probably would not have known. This shows honesty and integrity, that's pretty impressive. I would hire them again, if I needed their services without a doubt. My only regret is not finding them sooner when I had my new patio door installed by Lowe's that basically looks like garbage and has caused me many issues because the door install was done so poorly. I wish they did electrical work because now that's my next step. It feels so good to have a great experience for once!

Larry was great! He not only provided an estimate for the requested items but I had some windows with broken seals. He provided me with the measurements and information on how to replace them at no charge. We had another project that we were doing at the same time and couldn't afford to do both so we had to nix the doors. Despite that I would strongly recommend them for an estimate.

I regret very much that I chose their services. The quotes were all within the same ballpark. I went with him because at first he was very personable and outgoing. He was responsive to questions and emails. I had to have him out twice to fix areas that were not completed. He was very unprofessional and shabby. When we have doors done, they take off the surrounding sidings and they put it back up. I would expect them to at least patch them if not paint them as they might not be able to match the color. I later found out that he wouldn’t do patch work. There was some personality issue with him. I was shocked with the verbal attacks that he made when I brought up my disappointment. I didn’t appreciate that. I chose him because he had a nice rating on Angie's List. I had to put my husband on the phone to talk to him because he was no longer listening what I was saying. There was another issue with the handles of the door that they had installed. It wasn’t installed properly and it was starting to come off. Their price was competitive. The doors were good, but it was the fact that I had to call them back.

We called Columbus Window & Door and arranged for someone to come out to quote the work. We'd read reviews on Angie's List and were very impressed with what others had said. Amanda came out and did a great job explaining the options and providing opinions on the different models and colors available. We settled on our choices and she had a quote to us the next day. We provided the authorization for work and they let us know that installation would be ready in about six weeks (door leadtime, etc). When they were ready for installation, Larry (the owner) called and we set up a time. On the day of installation, Ken and his crew arrived and did the entire install in one day. The install included the door, frame, weather strip, threshold, moulding, hardware, etc. The finished product was outstanding. We absolutely love the doors and couldn't have been happier with the way the project was handled from beginning to end. We'll recommend Columbus Window & Door to all our family and friends if they're in the market for new doors.

We love these two beautiful storm doors. Larry went the extra mile to get them for us. A bit pricey but appropriate given the high artistic quality of the doors. Other companies would not even attempt to procure esp. the Black Aspen steel storm door - too difficult. Waited about a month from the time of order to installation - they were custom made and fitted. Larry was very professional - returned all our calls promptly and kept us apprised of all the steps. The installer Ken was also professional. Everything was done when expected. Also, we had 2 minor call backs - 1st for a little bit of caulk and 2nd a year later when front storm door didn't fit snugly and Ken came out promptly and adjusted. Lifetime installation guarantee and manuf. warranty on the doors themselves. Very happy with the results.

After and extensive search for a window provider and installer CWD was the most reasonably priced, high quality product. The installation process went smoothly and the quality of work was outstanding. The installers (Ken and Jim) were professional and willing to answer any questions I had. Their work was quick and clean and met all of my expectations. I would highly recommend CWD to any friends or family and will certainly use them again for my window needs in the future.

Windows are fine, but the door and hardware feels cheap. I wrote Larry about this afterwards, but no response. Was very good on customer service...until payment went through. Disappointed, as Larry seemed committed to quality and I was hopeful. I expected better for the price. I'm guessing that I'll be buying new knobs and hardware again in the near future.

I had to have french doors replaced in my house and because of the age of the home, they had to be custom made. When I called for an appointment, Larry was able to come out that same afternoon because he was in the neighborhood. He was able to assess what I needed and come up with a solution that fit both what I wanted in style and in price range. The person who actually did the installing came out to take the measurements. During the entire process, Larry was in touch with me as to install date and time and was readily available to answer all my questions and concerns. Not once did I have to play phone tag. The installer arrived on time when scheduled. He was very pleasant and actually knew what he was doing. Drop cloths were placed to catch all the debris and when the job was completed, everything was cleaned up - leaving no trace as to having been in the house. The door looks great and I am extremely happy with the experience I had with this company. When everything was completed - Larry followed up to make sure everything met my satisfaction. I would definitely use this company again.

. I called for three estimates and Larry was the only one who came out with a sample window. Presentation was professional and he was able to answer all our questions. He promised the windows for sometime in October and the job was done on October 1st. The installers were great. They were very friendly and efficient. Made sure everything was done right. Larry said the job might take two days but it was completed in one. Hard to explain the mess that replacing windows makes but when Ken and the other installers left it looked like they hadn't been here. Even vacuumed the carpet and floors. Clean-up is very important to me. I totally recommend Columbus Window & Door for replacement windows. Give them a look - you won't be disappointed.

Once we had our new flooring installed our old front door was too low. We couldn't cut it down as it was metal so we decided to replace it. We got estimates from two vendors. Columbus Window and Door would accommodate all our requests. We wanted a door with wood grain on the outside and white on the inside. We also wanted black craftsman hardware for the lockset and hinges. Larry took this on as a personal project to see that we got our wish. On the day of installation Ken arrived early and started to work right away. Within a couple of hours our door was replaced and weather tight. I observed a lot of the installation and no corners were cut. He caulked and flashed all the appropriate points. Aluminum cladding was applied on the exterior jamb and below the new threshold. He reinstalled the casing on the inside of the house and even caulked the new nail holes. Cleanup was complete and our door looks great!

Larry was very professional and provided plenty of options and choices for my project, he was spot on with his suggestions. The installers were timely, professional and completed the job in one day. The installer showed me how to open, close and tilt in the windows for cleaning, and how to replace the screen on the doors prior to leaving. The construction site was left perfectly clean and all debris was removed. The installation was exceptional. I had one issue with a small tear on the door screen, without question or visual investigation, Larry ordered a new screen as soon as I reported it and delivered it timely. I highly recommend this group for window replacement. As Larry promised, my porch has taken on a new life with this improvement.

Larry came out and gave me an estimate on replacing my old side garage door. He was right on time and went through everything about the door, replacing it, installing it, costs, and answered all my questions. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The door came in when expected, and they came out and installed the new door in only about 2 hours. Made sure everything worked great, cleaned everything up, and took all the old stuff away. Didn't leave till I was satisfied. Their work is impeckable and they really know how to install their products. I wouldn't hesistate to call them again if I ever need a door replaced. I was very impressed with the whole experience and would highly recommend them to anyone. I can see why them came so highly recommended. You won't be dissappointed. Too bad all companies aren't like Columbus Window and Door LLC..
