Working with Larry was a fabulous experience. He explained everything very well, offered us a fantastic deal, and delivered on everything he promised. I wasn't sure about doing vinyl windows in our old house, but we definitely needed new windows, and Larry explained all of the options thoroughly. In the end, we chose the vinyl, and couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail of the installation. It looks really great. Moreover, Larry understood my desire to preserve all of the wood framing around our windows inside the house, and his installer carefully preserved and reinstalled the decorative wood pieces around the new windows. I think this company is very honest and professional and I would not hesitate to use them again.

CWD is a fantastic local business: they provide exceptional service and they are extremely responsive to customer needs. I always received an immediate reply to my emails. When the initial door replacement was inadequate, Larry called to let me know. A week before the work was scheduled, he wrote to tell me what day it would be installed. I returned home that day to a perfect door. I really cannot speak more highly about my entire experience with Columbus Window and Doors and recommend them enthusiastically.

The door arrived sooner than anticipated, and the installer arrived at the scheduled time and did an excellent job replacing our old door. The weather was miserable, cold and snowy, and the installer needed to carry all his supplies in from the road because another company was at work shoring up our basement. He set the door and frame in nicely, and high enough so the door would open over a floor mat on the inside, and he also framed around the inside of the door. The color is a good match to our existing trim, and the door seals well.

Larry came out for the initial visit. He provided a very detailed overview of the windows (Vinyl, Double Hung), took his time to explain our options and provide suggestions based on his experience. Installation was extremely fast, the windows were installed two and a half weeks after we ordered them. Ken and Kyle did the installation and their work was very good (and fast). All of the new windows were installed on the first day, and they spent the second day doing the outside trim work. After the installation was done, we could immediately notice a difference in the overall comfort in our house because of the new windows. No more cold drafts! Thanks for a job well done! We would definitely do business with Larry again!

He did a great job though, we are still having issues with it(due to us living in an older home). He is great to work with and stands behind his service. Great follow up!

I received quotes from four contractors, Larry's quote was the lowest and he seemed the most knowledgeable. Larry sells doors from multiple companies, but the Provia doors are AWESOME! Production of these doors takes awhile because they are hand built in an Amish run factory, so please plan ahead. Ken and Kyle came to install the doors and were very polite and professional. They put down tarps to protect the floors and cleaned up after themselves. Ken is a perfectionist. He shimmed and adjusted my front door for two hours to make sure that it was plumb, level and true, and that it opened and shut perfectly. The doors look fantastic! Most of my neighbors complimented me on the doors after noticing them. I may be getting windows in the future and I will definitely be calling Larry.

It was a great experience. Larry came out for the quote and explained everything. He really stressed the quality and backed it up. References were great and their quote was the best of all in the middle price-wise of all three we recieved but fair and I trusted what he said he would do. He told us it would take approximately 6-7 weeks before installation and he was right on target. The crew came out and finished removing and installing all the windows and doors with the inside finished on day one. The second day they finished the trim on the outside in 1/2 day. The crew had all the tools and were very prepared. They were professional, polite and knew what they were doing. I will use them again without a doubt.

The project went well from start to end. There was no pressure during the sales process. Columbus Window and Door delivered on everything that was promised. The installers were prompt, cleaned up great and were a pleasure to work with. They did a quality installation. Columbus Window and Door gets my recommendation.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Larry and Kenny at Columbus Window and Door. Unfortunately, my reason for a door replacement was a necessary and urgent matter as I had recently been burglarized and had no locking mechanism left to secure the house. Realizing my immediate safety concerns, Larry proved to be empathetic, timely, and loyal to his word. He quickly worked to create a proposal that was both thorough and fair, ensuring my replacement door was well-above the standard replacement and energy efficient! When Kenny arrived to complete the project, he realized the door frame was not a standard size, replacement would require a custom frame being built prior to installation. Understanding my concern of protecting my self, my property, and my remaining valuables; Kenny took the time to custom design a door frame specific to my needs. He also reset the door to maximize safety by ensuring the deadbolt was center of the door stud, further preventing a reoccurrence. The majority of this work was well beyond the original proposal and extremely timely, however, Kenny was positive and committed. He took all necessary measures to ensure my approval and happiness. Just as important, Larry communicated all price and work order changes prior to any construction taking place, making sure I was comfortable with the new outcome. When Kenny left, I couldn't have been more satisfied. The door fit perfectly, looked great, felt safe, and the area he worked in was cleaner than before he arrived. I would highly recommend Columbus Window and Door for any household projects as I will definitely be calling them should I have a need in the future.

This is the type of company that is rarely found any more. From the first meeting, I knew I was working with someone who was really an expert in his field. He made recommendations based upon maintaining the integrity of the original house design. None of the four contractors did that. His approach was definitely the best and required more time to install but interestingly, he wasn't the most expensive. The new windows and doors are fabulous.

The experience was terrific from beginning to end. Larry came to the house and helped decide what door to purchase and offered a very competitive price: he explained exactly would be covered, what would be installed, and the time frame for installation. Only two weeks later, he called to let us know that the product had arrived and he was able to schedule installation immediately. The workman arrived promptly and was courteous, efficient, and did a wonderful job with the installation. What a beautiful door! A couple hours later Larry called to make certain that I was satisfied with the job. You really couldn't ask for a better experience.

Larry had installed a new front door for us roughly a month ago. Shortly after, we had a totally separate problem occur with our house. Our roof began leaking after a recent storm. Larry had mentioned to us that he provided other services besides windows & doors when he worked with us on our front door. Since we were very satisfied with his work, we decided to call him back. I was anxious, because I knew that this was going to be an unexpected expense. When I spoke to Larry, he put me at ease. After a lengthy discussion, we decided that our best option was to contact our homeowners' insurance company. We are new homeowners and were unfamiliar to the process. Larry helped us every step of the way. He went above and beyond to assist us. He provided an emergency tarp service. He met the insurance adjuster at our home and we set everything up for our new roof in one day. His crew came within a week to replace our roof. They completed the work in a single day and did an excellent job with the cleanup. His roofing crew was very polite and hard working (his door crew was too). We could not be happier with Larry and his company. We are now in the process of scheduling for our soffits to be replaced!

The doors that came with the house were no longer functioning properly and were quite the sight for sore eyes. Larry came out and gave us an estimate that we believed was fair, but it was his willingness to sit down with us and explain every step of the process that won us over. Once we decided on a design, we decided to proceed. Two of his installers arrived on the scheduled day and time and were extremely professional, taking their time to do the work right. The finished job looks great and we could not be happier with the work performed.

I bought a model home two years ago. The door on the model was insufficient. Larry, from Columbus Windows and Doors, was the first to point out that the door was actually warped and would never be a perfect fit for the frame and therefore I would never be able to perfectly weather proof the home. Larry came out and helped me find the perfect door, style and color. I also purchased a storm/screen for the front door. He remained in communication with me between the time that I ordered the door and the time of installation. He gave me a weeks notice before the new door was to be installed. The workmen installing the door arrived exactly when they said they would. They were very professional and courteous. The workmanship they did was stunning. I could not have been happier. The door and storm look absolutely fabulous and really increase the curb appeal of the home. I no longer feel the cold draft that used to come in through the old door and frame. Bring on winter!

From the sales estimate to the installation and clean-up, the company was professional, friendly, and as accommodating as possible. They did a great job. They cleaned up the mess from the construction and paid attention to the smallest details, in order to get the job done right.

Mid-May 2006, Larry from Columbus Window & Door came out right away with installer to evaluate situation. I was confident in their expertise and their lowest price (received 4 overall estimates). Door ordered (estimated arrival approximately 8 weeks) and arrived a couple weeks early. Larry called on Sat. July 5th that door was in and it was installed on Mon. July 7th. Installer came early in the morning and worked straight through until late afternoon. Installer removed old door, repaired damaged sub floor next to door, cut open a wider opening, installed new sliding door, and added new exterior and interior trim (interior trim was not stained). Installer was very professional and friendly (especially with gawking young kids around). After installer left, we realized the door was not locking properly. Larry responded quickly and the installer came back right away to fix the lock (which has been working fine since).

They were very prompt and on time. They showed up and gave us the estimate, then got the work done quickly. He was very reasonable and responsible. It is a small company, so there are just a couple of installers, and they did great work.

The job went really well. Larry was prompt, forthright and very clear in all our meetings and communications, including (1) the initial estimate done on site, (2) why the door was worth the higher cost, and (3) the option to view the same door being installed at a different house. The work was completed in one day which was efficient considering the unexpected problem of the additional framing required and the additional repair work from the water damage. The repairs were very reasonably priced, and there were no charges for the additional framing since this was an oversight during the initial estimate. The installer also pointed out where the house's joists were inadequate and therefore added support below the door to keep it from sinking further. The installer did a good job cleaning up.

It went very well. Larry came out and went over in detail my options for a new front door and storm door. He was open to answering any questions I had and took as much time as necessary to be sure I got what I wanted. The installation went equally well. The installer was a little late but was very apologetic and worked to get the installation done on time when I told him I had an appointment later. The installer was very friendly and I felt comfortable having him in my home. He was also very knowledgeable and obviously had a lot of experience installing doors. He made sure I understood the locks and anything additional before he left; he did not appear to be in too much of a hurry to leave. I am very happy with the look of the doors. Overall, a very good experience!

I had two exterior doors that needed to be custom ordered due to their odd sizes. Larry promptly came out for the estimate and was very informative and helpful in getting the right doors selected. On the day of install, it was discovered that one of the doors was measured incorrectly and had to be re-ordered, which added another month's waiting time. However, Ken, the installer, did an excellent job at installation and I am very happy with his work. Larry did offer to install a storm door (one I purchase on my own) at cost for labor to make up for the measuring mistake, but I decided to install the storm door myself. My doors look great and are very solid. I'm very happy with the doors. They are even going to come out and reclad my doors for me once I get a porch and sunroom torn off the back of my house. I thought that was a very nice touch for them to do that.
