Execeeded expectations - install and replacement went very smoothly. Plan on hiring in the future to replace other windows as time and funds permit.

In November we got estimates from two highly rated window companies on Angie's list for six windows to be installed in my daughter's home. Although we were very impressed with the reps. and products from both companies, the estimate for Columbus Window and Door was far lower than the other company. We signed the contract and asked that the work be done after the new year. Every time we called, Larry was very responsive and accommodating. We had the 6 upstairs windows installed on Jan. 14th 2013. The two installers arrived even earlier than the time agreed-upon. They quickly set to work removing all the old windows and installing the new ones. They were very neat and left the house and yard spotless. They did a great job of installation and closed off doors on the rooms they were working on so that we would not lose too much heat in the cold weather. The workers were friendly with us and my daughter's large dog. We all were very pleased with the neat job and clean-up and would highly recommend them to other people. The new windows look great!

Overall, the quality of the door is exceptional. I am very happy thus far with the quality and the appearance. The installers were polite and courteous and installed the front door in a short time with minimal mess. I felt like this was a good company to work with but was dismayed by the delays in the installation. I would use them again as long as I had flexibility in my schedule due to the delays.

Once we met with Larry and decided to use his company, everything went as we were told. The installers showed up on time, were considerate, and knew what they were doing. The removed the old doors, installed the new doors, completed all of the trim both inside and outside, removed all debris and clened up. We are very pleased with how warm our family room is now..

Needed assistance with recently installed replacement patio door that leaked (initial work by another contractor). Larry was incredibly helpful with temporary suggestions as well as attempting to find a time to fit this project into his schedule. Workers were on time and professional. Finished job was excellent and no issues with leaking.

Larry made several trips to our home to explain his services and worked with us on style and color, type of windows and siding. He was very professional and explained his services in great detail. He brought samples of the windows and siding to us and spent a great deal of time helping to decide which products would be best for us. His communication as we went through this process was excellent through phone calls, emails and visits. He sent his head window installer out to meet us to measure and to answer any of our questions. The window crew also was excellent and very accomodating, did a wonderful job and cleaned up perfectly after they we were finished. Pleasantly the windows were all installed around our house in one day. Once the siding was received it was installed in one day as well. We would not hesitate to use Columbus Windows and Door again in the future and would recommend them highly.

Larry came out to talk to me about replacements. His presentation was factual and concise; not a pressure sale like some other companies. There was not ONE rating of under an "A" on Angie's list. Impressive! We checked the Better Business Bureau in addition;nothing bad on the BBB where we had seen plenty bad with said other vendors. There was about a six-to-eight week lead time to have the windows ordered and in the warehouse. Larry called to schedule promptly when the windows arrived. Ken came to install with a crew. The crew was prompt and careful of gardens under first floor windows. I was shown how to open and clean the windows; which helped a lot later. After the crew left I cleaned all the windows in the days following and noticed some stippling on one window, in addition, one window and one sliding glass door screen had very small holes in them. I contacted Larry about the screens and he offered and did replace them. Larry came over for the window stippling; in all honesty, I believe the stippling to be due to hose water spraying on the window in subsequent days and the rapid drying in the summer sun. In other words, hard water. Larry did offer to have the manufacturer's rep come over and ship me a product to clean the window with. The gentleman came and conferred with me and yet never shipped me any product. Again, I believe this to be a hard water issue so most likely not a manufacturing problem and Larry has no control of the manufacturer's rep not following through. They are hardly noticeable in the best of lighting. Screens were replaced and then the floor locking mechanism on the sliding glass door didn't work properly; it was too touchy, it would work, then it would not, it would not unlock and then would. Larry sent someone to adjust it. The adjustment did not fix the problem. I believe, for a while, Larry thought it was operator error. Finally, Larry ordered a new floor lock and it was installed. All is good now, 16 or so weeks later. I am very happy even with the back-and-forth as the company and its employees were always responsive.

Guy came out, removed crappy old door, installed gorgeous new door. Took him a few hours, plus the locks for the other two doors ended up getting left out of the order, so he had to run to the store to purchase them. I did a price check on what Home Depot charged verses what we paid Cols Window & Door - no upcharge. He cleaned up nicely when finished, door looks great, is much more convenient now that it opens on the other side, locks work great plus they all match now. It's so nice to have an airtight door! (We have an old house.) Cost of the door, screen door, and installation was pretty steep in my opinion but that door is never gonna need replaced again so it's worth it. Quick to follow up to phone and email communication, friendly and professional, definitely a good experience. When the front door gets replaced (one house project at a time!), will be calling Cols Window & Door back.

Larry, the owner, came out and met with us to show us door styles. He took his time and explained everything to us. He was very patient with us as we waffled on what color/style/etc. We finally decided and let Larry know via email. Larry was always very quick to respond, usually within an hour or two of my email. It did take a couple of months before they could get the door and get us scheduled. Larry was honest and told us that they were backed up on the schedule and it would take some time. That was fine with us, I appreciated him being honest about it. Ken was our installer. He did a fantastic job. He was friendly and answered all my questions. The door looks better, and is installed better than the original door that was on the house. I gave them a B on price. That said, I didn't get any other quotes to compare them to, so I can't really say if they are expensive compared to their competition. I gave a B simply because the door was so expensive. That said, I truly believe I go a top quality door with a top quality install. Great job, we're very happy.

Larry was very informative when we were pricing windows. Their prices were very competitive and actually the lowest of the 4 companies we interviewed, and their window was the best quality that we were looking for in our price range. It took about 8 weeks from the time we ordered to the time of installation. The installers were very professional and finished in one full day, working around our kids' nap times and being very conscientious of their work in the house. It was a very good experience from start to finish.

I contacted Columbus Window & Door to get an estimate on replacing a patio sliding glass door and a door in the garage. Larry was able to come out to our house for an estimate within a week. We were emailed a detailed estimate the next day. The quote we were given was a very good/reasonable price. We had another company come to the house and give us an estimate as well. The other company's quote was about the same as Columbus Window & Door. But we just felt that Larry was very knowledgeable and he made us feel confident that his company would do the best job. He was able to schedule the job in a time frame that worked out well for us. We need to have the doors installed by a certain date and Larry was able to accommodate us. We are looking forward to having Columbus Window & Door come out to our house to install the two new doors in the first week of October.I also wanted to note that Larry was great about getting back to us so quickly when we asked for a quote on a different door. He emailed us a new proposal right away.

I was impressed with Larry. He is a salesman who sticks by his word and is very patient. I had several quotes for my home windows and after a long period of time I chose this company due to the quality and Installation. Its one thing to have great windows but it doesn't mean much if the installers due a mediocre job and have water issues and such. Ken and the team did an amazing job and I couldn't be more pleased. After several months I had a small issue with a few of the windows closing and opening due to my short stature so I called Larry and he immediately called a service tech and they came by and took care of the issue right away. Its one thing to have great windows, and installation, but it sure feels sweet to know that they are willing to honor the customer service as well if there were any issues! Thanks Larry!

Everything went smoothly. When became home from vacation we found the lifts had teeth marks from our dog and the screens were pushed out. Larry was great at helping us fix the problem.

Our house was bulit around 6 years ago. The quality and workmanship used a the original exterior doors and frames were very poor. At the time have know experience when it came to buliding. Did not realize this. Over time the doors would not close properly and found out that the frames were not right. Shopped around and decided to try angie's list. Got a few quotes and decided that Columbus Doors and Windows had given us the best quotes and the owner was great. They have done such a great job. Will be using again

The experience was terrific! My husband and I had trouble choosing between a storm door or the phantom screen for our back door. Larry was very patient as he worked us through the process. He was available to us on the weekend so that the order could go in the folllowing Monday so that the doors could be installed prior to a party at our house. We really appreciate his eye to detail and customer serviice. He listened to how we function as a family and came up with the best soulution for us. The windows were a challenge as the seal had broken and they were completely fogged. I had several other companies come to the house to give me an estimate for replacement just to be told that they were impossible to replace. I believe Larry was challenged to find a solution and he did. He called his installer to look at the windows and he came over immediately. The two of them worked very well together. The day of the install went very smoothly and I can once agan open my front door!

The service was wonderful! When Larry came out he went over every detail with me and explained everything that I needed to know. I had two other estimates and they did not spend the time and the effort to explain everything that Larry did. When he left he had all the door measurements and color information to complete the order with a phone call to confirm the order. The door was installed perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Larry was very quick to return my phone call, requesting an appt to view his products and make a choice. It did take a few weeks for the door to be ordered and received, but this was expected. The day that Ken came to remove the existing door and install the new one, I was unable to be home. I was so excited when I got home, the old door was gone. The new door looked amazing and I couldn't believe anyone had even been here. There was no trace that any work had been done!!He made a follow up call to make sure that I didn't have any questions and was satisfied.I would absolutely call him again and recommend to anyone to call Columbus Door and Window!Thank you Larry, if I had known that it was going to be so easy, I wouldn't have waited so long to replace the existing door.

The new door and sidelites are beautiful. The installer cleaned up so well after himself that you would never know I had any work done in the house.

10 years and 2 months ago we had in an Anderson exterior full view door installed into my wife's library. The warranty was 10 years on the exterior metal clad door/interior was wood finish and we found the seal on the metal clad had broken and water had been pouring into the door. The wood bottom rail had rooted and water was pouring in under the wood floor in the library, ruining the floor. The door was 2 months out of warranty. I called Larry from Columbus Window and put the problem in their hands. Larry was wonderful and worked with my wife on the model of door she wanted and the price. When the door came in Ken, the installer came out and went right to work. What a wonderful craftsman and gentleman. He was professional in every since of the word and knew his job. Ken worked installing the door, interior trim, exterior trim and then cleaned up. After Ken finished there was no sign of him being there, except for a wonderful new door was installed. This old world craftsmanship and professionalism that was displayed by Columbus Window and Door LLC and Ken is such a breath of fresh air in this cheap and install fast world. We're very pleased with our new doors. They look great and the installation is professional and well-done. During his inspection of our house and the doors to be replaced, Larry took his time to inspect the different entryways and describe exactly how the doors would be installed, potential challenges he saw and how they would be addressed. His estimating process was by far the most intensive and detailed of the 4 I got. My house is older and offers unique challenges to anyone that works on it, so I place high value on people who really take stock of the work as part of their estimate. The other 3 estimators really did little more than measure the doorways and it concerned me that if they ran into problems, they may not have been able to deal with it. In the end, Columbus Window and Door was not our cheapest estimate, but we decided to go with them because they made us feel confident that the installation would be handled with expertise and professionalism. We were not disappointed. The installation process went off without a hitch, which I think can be attributed to Larry's attention to detail up front, and the expertise of the installer, who did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to recommend Columbus Window and Door for door installation.

The owner came out himself to measure and give the estimate. I had three different estimates, but chose him. The man that installed the windows did it in one day. He cleaned up after himself and did a very good job. I would definitely call them again.

I called Columbus Window and Door and made an appointment to have our windows replaced. The salesman, Larry Surowiec, was very professional. He took his measurements, showed us a sample of his product and quoted us a price. I asked about replacing our picture window as well but he felt it did not need to be replaced. The 2 men who replaced the windows were also very professional, efficient and very neat. They even covered over boards above two windows with vinyl so I would not have to paint them in the future.

Excellent! Larry has a good crew that works for him. Professional, cleaned up well, very nice. The work was great, the low e windows we selected have been great. I've referred 2 friends to Larry and Columbus Window and Door and both had similar results/feedback.
