They were late. This company said they didn't use sub contractors, but the only worker to show up was a sub. The entire 3 or 4 day job was 1 guy who was sub contract. He cut through an electric line and said nothing, even though it was obvious it sparked and copper melted. He knocked a hole in the brand new bathtub with a sledge hammer and patched it with silicone, and said nothing. The repairs to all the damage he caused took months to get fixed, the tub had to be replaced and most of the work was undone and redone buy yet another sub contractor. After the new sub contractor finished, They wanted paid right then, even though we were made to wait months to get a 2 day job done. If they had sent a crew of more then one person, it would not have gone as badly. Thier definition of a crew is one guy. Now I hear winglers will be working for Lowes as a contractor. The materials were less quality then expected. They tried to Initially send the same guy that could have burned us up leaving a hot electric wire cut and bare, and hid other damage, back to my home again to fix it. They were told not to send him back, but still tried.

We paid half the amount as a deposit. He ordered the wrong cabinets, it took six weeks for him to reorder the correct cabinets. He finally removed the old cabinets out on April. We had to call him two weeks later for him to come and put the new cabinets in. I had to pay for all the supplies (sinks, faucets, granite) all he had to do is place them. The granite people actually took care of the sinks and faucets because this contractor never took care of them. I no longer want him to return to my home. Wade is very unprofessional, he just walked away from the job, he took months to put in cabinets and didn't perform the other jobs that were on the contract. I would never reccomend this company to anyone. This is the worst job I have ever had. I will be reporting this company to the BBB.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to put in cabinets, a shower door, the granite, and three faucets.

Description of Work: I had much the same experience as another Angie's List Member noted in their review. Basically, |--the management team acts professionally, yet it required a great deal of my time placing/waiting for calls to/from them, materials were not ordered in a timely manner, after waiting for months for materials to come in, they wanted to schedule another 2nd house appointment with the project manager [the 4th home visit from the company], |--on all visits, I was told that they were very busy and that I should hear from their office to schedule a work date, but that would be at least 9 weeks away and |--they charge way too much for the work to be done | I tried to get my remodel/installation done from June 2014 to Feb 2015. There is way too much disorganization and not keeping their word for me to deal with this company ever again.

Quality of work by the on-site workers was highly acceptable. The managemnent of the project was deplorable. This project ws contarcted in July 2014 and was not completed until February 2015. It was obvious that the project was being managed on a pay as you go basis although customer paid a significant amount upfron (ostensibly so that material could be ordered--it was not) and made the second contracted payment when construction began. Plagued throughout by materuials not being ordered timely or materials arriving piecemeal, this frustration was icreased many-fold by the project manager/superivor being unreliable and in many cases plainly dishonest in dealing with cusomer. The only reason that this review is not an "F" is because the actual workers, when actually assigned to be on site, worked hard and with care demonstrating that albeit the overall Wingler professionalism was poor, the workmen took individual pride in their responsiblities and product. Since we originally were linked up with Wingler through Home Depot, customer took concerns to the Home Depot management on several occasions and found that Home Depot had had enough problems with Wingler so as to terminate their relationship with the firm.

Horrible from the first day 11/24/14. I work and asked them to arrive before 8AM, but they didn't . When I returned from work at 5:30 PM the tub and shower had been removed leaving a 12 inch diameter hole in my kitchen ceiling below the bathroom. It had a one foot piece of tape hanging from the edge of the hole. I had to complain before it was covered with brown paper sealed with masking tape (10 days later). When leaving that evening the 2 older men who had been working (uncle and father of the "project manager") informed me that they would be back on Tuesday (they didn't), but would be off Wednesday and Friday for Thanksgiving with their families. Matt, the "manager" came on Wednesday to tell me that the floor must be replaced (not part of the original contract), but they would "give me a deal". He also said that he would start the basement toilet on Friday (he didn't). The reason the floor needed to be replaced was because they destroyed some of my floor tiles and because the person who had measured had made a 2 inch mistake. I complained that those were reasons that seemed to be their fault, so the salesman who came out and saw the hole along with the other damage to the site assured me that he thought the executive of the company would agree that they would pay for the floor. On Monday he started the basement toilet with a helper I understood to be his cousin. It was a really dirty messy job, but it turned out fine (the only thing). The upstairs shower got installed and someone came to measure for the door when I was not there. The first floor toilet was installed, but whenever I sat on it there was a noise that I didn't think was right and it took 3 more weeks before the cousin came and removed the new toilet and rebuilt the floor beneath, but that didn't change the fact that the toilet kept refilling the tank within hours of flushing. I pointed out that was a leak from a gasket and they had to make a separate trip later to change the gasket, but it didn't change the refilling. I later had to hire a plumber who changed a round part in the toilet and now it works fine. After he changed the floor he removed the sink and toilet for one night while the floor settled. He removed the toilet paper holder and a hand towel rack and repaired the damaged walls around the surround and told me that they never paid for painting, but that he could do a good job as he would see if his plaster was even. I "hired" him not knowing what that was going to cost, but it was obvious it was a simple job as he used an 18" roller on an 8x5 foot bathroom. I later learned the company wanted me to pay $700 for this which would include their placing 2 glass shelves I had bought -looked like a simple job I had been there to watch. I complained to the salesman who said he knew a painter who would do the job for $200. I thought that a fair price and wrote that amount and less the $1500 I was to pay the maker of the shower door when it was installed. I was told different stories for when that was to happen--first that it was done and would be installed the week before Christmas and finally told to my attorney that the door had not been ordered and would not be until I agreed to pay $2000 more dollars. I complained to the BBB and my attorney contacted them repeatedly. They finally told the BBB they would not do my door or expect me to pay the $500, so I have ordered a door from another person. I had to call Matt back to fix the shower fixture which he had set for cold water only. I had to hire a handyman to exchange a light fixture they had broken in the basement and didn't tell me it was broken. The repair of the kitchen ceiling was the last job they did and it is horrible--very uneven with clear swaths of plaster leaving some of the ceiling visible behind the thin plaster at that spot. My handyman says he can fix that for me. I have never worked with any professional service as bad as this company. Matt would tell me he was coming at 9 AM and he wouldn't be here until 11 saying that he had a "meeting" and that he would have to work until 7 that night, but when I got home from work at 5:30 PM he was gone. Another job not completed properly is the replacement of the bathroom sink--it is not sealed to the wall as it had been before they removed it, so I must find someone to fix that for me.

I researched Re-bath in Columbus and when I did that, Wingler & Sons Construction came up so what I found out for a fact that they were a representative of Re-bath. I called Wingler & Sons Construction and told them that I was interested in having a Re-bath done to my bathtub, so the guy came in and looked at it. I asked him if we could have a sliding door and he said yes so I signed a contract to that affect. He quoted me a price, which I thought was exceptionally high. I signed a contract with them on August 1st of 2013, and then he told me it would take eight to ten weeks to get this, I said okay. I called them several times, never got a response, then I finally got a response and he told me he put in for order and it was slow in coming in. It wasn’t until middle of December that they finally responded saying they are ready to come and do the job. The guy comes in and first and foremost, he puts this wall up around the bathtub! I asked him if he was going to cover the bathtub and he said no, it wasn’t in the quote and I said it was. He said it was not part of the deal, so I asked him if I was paying $4500 just to have a wall put up. Then he says call the owner, I did, I called the owner several times and there was no response. A guy then came in to change the fixtures in the bathtub thinking they were going to re-bath it and he pulled out the drain in the tub, which another guy by the way told me that they were not going to touch because it was an older home and they were afraid they were going to break it. So he pulls the drain out and breaks it, then he says I should call a plumber and get it fixed. I told him that was not fair, he broke it, he should fix it, and he said he couldn’t do that. Today, I have a plumber coming in who is going to cut a hole in the wall and fix that for X amount of dollars. I told them I am not interested in having them put anything up because they didn’t complete the job and I virtually terminated my services with them saying they were not going any further. On August 1st they collected half of what I signed a contract for which is probably far more than what I should have paid them for what they did plus I now have to pay this plumber to fix the drain. What I am going to do is, I will accumulate the cost to get it to where it needs to be done and I am going to file a lawsuit against them. I would recommend no one use them. I have called them to resolve the problems more than five times at least.
