Two Men And A Truck

Sent an inquiry email and got multiple emails from many salesmen (same phone # with different extensions.) The first # I was not directed to a voice mail was Josh's. So he became my sales rep. He was courteous and fairly easy to reach during the whole process. I first thought I could do packing & moving on the same day, but he suggested to do it over two days. Turned out to be an excellent advice. I couldn't have had both finished on one day. Packing was a little bit disappointing. They spent only 3 hours (out of 6 hours quoted) and therefore packing was incomplete. I asked them and they assured those unpacked items can be moved as they were (what does that even mean???). Next day moving crew arrived on time early in the morning. These people were excellent. They had to spend a quite bit of time/effort to finish up the packing. Worked so hard for the whole day. Unpacking crew arrived in the afternoon and helped moving until the moving's done and they started unpacking. Overall, I think the moving went very very smoothly. Not a single problem at the end of the day.

I hired them to move me from a one bedroom apartment into a new house. They were available on Sundays for their normal rate as opposed to charging more like other companies. I scheduled for two movers to be present. When they arrived, there were three. All three worked on my move and I was never asked to pay more for the third mover. The move was done in less than three hours. There was no damage to my property. The movers were courteous and solicitous of where I would like things to be placed in the new house. My only minor complaints are that they stacked something on top of one of my wardrobe boxes, collaping it on one side and rendering it unusuable in the future and that they did not wrap my dining table in plastic like they did all the other pieces of furniture and it was probably the most expensive piece of furniture moved. There was no damage, but wrapping it would have made sense. Other than that, I was completely satisfied with the job the movers did. Price wise, this company is expensive. I was quoted $128/hour for two movers and the truck. Other companies on Angie's List quoted me between $85 and $95 per hour for the same. They just did not have availability for my move.

I've used this company before and they do great work at a reasonable price. They worked quickly and took great care with all of our belongings. There were no problems, no delays. I recommend this company highly. They do both local and long distance moves.

They took great care of the furniture to ensure nothing was damaged. They worked very quickly. They were very professional and courteous. I had no idea they also did long distance mpves. Had I known that, I would have hired them to do my long distance move as well. I will recommend them to my friends. They do a great job at a reasonable price.

I contacted them via email on October 10, 2012 to schedule my move. I received an email on the 11th that someone would be contacting me. No one did contact me so I left a message on October 15th. Today is October 29th and I'm still waiting for someone to call. Find someone else folks (I did) as this company clearly does not need the business.

Following the departure of her husband, my mother will now be living alone. Arrangements have been made for somebody to stay with her overnight. In order to accommodate this, we needed to make a bedroom comfortable and acceptable, so we switched around furniture in two bedrooms. We also took my mother's bedroom and rearranged the furniture so that there was a shorter and clear path from her bed to the bathroom. Finally, she had stored some things in a few large storage containers, so we moved them into the garage. I want to comment on "price" and why I gave it a "B" ---- The price is based on a service charge of $116 and then an hourly charge of $128 for two men ---- so, if you have several hours of work, the service charge is spread out. Likewise, the hourly charge is "a lot" but, over several hours it would make more economic sense as part of the total. Also, even though we did not have need for the truck, they also had everything that would be needed to move furniture (unlike getting 2 strong high school boys which was my first thought that would have turned into a disaster with something damaged) Now - with that said - I feel that I got 100% value received! They came on time and worked efficiently and professionally; in fact, they were very sensitive to the time factor and - in what I thought was going to be a 2-hour job - they did in 1 hour! So, I was very pleased with that and I am not - at all - complaining about the price. If I had to do it all over again, I would. Finally, the 2 guys who came worked well together and were very professional. They said that you can ask for them by name if you ever use Two Men again. So - if you have occasion to use them, ask for Kevin H. and Anthony L. You'll be very pleased.

I was given a window of time for arrival between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. They called twice to say the would be late. They arrived at 2:55 PM. Many of my extra help had left. We had all the boxes and small things moved into the garage for them. Their delay put many people on a delayed schedule to their day. They were also slow and careless and the new house. The young men were nice but exhausted. Mine was their second move of the day, and the reason they were so late. The didn't put many of the boxes in the location according to their label. The company offered me a 10 % discount. I didn't feel is was enough compensation. I called their main office the next week. They just argued with me and tried to justify that it was fair enough and then they blew me off.

The two women packers were slow. When they arrived at my home and saw the job, they said they could easily beat the estimated time. At the end of the estimated time, they were still tediously over-wrapping and packing up kitchen items. They worked together much of the day, rather than using their time more efficiently in separate rooms. They over-packed boxes such that I cannot shift them around now as I search for items, and even the packers complained privately to me about the heaviness of the boxes. The two male movers had terrific personalities and great attitudes. My husband and I enjoyed them immensely. But apparently the newer of the two employees (the one who had been at this business 3 weeks) had not yet taken the class on safe-handling of customers' possessions to minimize damage.

Near the end of the move, I noticed that the toggle of a hall light switch was broken off - not a big damage thing, but they were responsible. I pointed it out to one of the movers. About 1/2 hour after the movers left, I realized we had not completed a damage claim. I immediately called my sales rep. He assured me the damage claims manager would call me the next day (Tuesday 8/21). No call. Since the move on the 20th, I have called numerous times. I've spoken to or left messages several times to my sales rep (Chris), was told several times by the person who answers the main phone line that Brian would call by the next day, and left several messages for the damage claims guy (Brian), and last Friday left a message for the Operations Manager (Steve). The only response I've had is ~ 4:00 last Friday afternoon. I noticed a call on my home phone, but no message was left. The company did not attempt to reach me on my cell phone, which Chris has always used as my primary contact number. I again left a message for Chris, but have not heard from anyone all week.

Overall the move went very well and I was extremely pleased with the men who did the moving. Armon and Isaiah were training a third worker Keith and I was impressed with how they taught and directed him throughout the move. Everything was moved without damage to the things or to either residence. These men worked from mid afternoon well into the evening and they seemed to have no down time at all. I would welcome any of these men back into my home should I have a need for their services again. They represent their employer well.

This was the second time we used them and I will use them again in the future if necessary.

I wasn't present for them loading the vehicle, since I had already gone to Indianapolis for my job, but my mother and brother were there. They said that the loading took a while, like five hours. It was really only loading a one bedroom apartment's worth. It took longer than anyone had imagined it would but the unloading went pretty quickly. There was only one minor bit of damage that was done to a piece of antique furniture but not enough to warrant filing a claim. They did offer to reimburse the cost of the fix. The folks were absolutely wonderful to talk with when I met with them in Indianapolis and when I had the estimator come out. There were some issues. The estimator neglected to inform me that what the estimate was, was the cost no matter what. I was under the impression that if it took more time, it would cost more and if it took less time for them to move, it would cost less. The folks who loaded everything up and drove it across Indiana told me that when they are doing interstate travel, whatever the quote is, it's a flat rate. That was something that I didn't know and I hadn't read about in any of the reviews online so it was a bit of a surprise. All-in-all it would have been a difference of 2 hours so not too much of a difference. The cost for the value was great but there was just that confusion where the estimator didn't match the information from the movers. Aside from the screws that got stripped on the antique chest of drawers, it wasn't something I was happy about but nothing else got broken. The movers did a good job padding everything appropriately. It was just a minor damage. They were able to come out and give me an estimate quickly and when it came time to unload and get everything into my apartment, they worked really fast and got everything where I wanted it. They showed up when they were supposed to. The two gentlemen who did all the lifting and moving were phenomenal; they were great. I would have to ding the estimator a point because he did tell me about the interstate move being a flat-rate quote. I would probably use them again but I don't know if they have a location in Indianapolis. If I had to move from Columbus to Indianapolis again? Sure, why not.

The team showed up promptly and were extremely friendly / professional. They took great care in moving all of my belongings. It's the second time I've used them within a two year period. Would definitely recommend this company.

It was really easy to coordinate and they were very professional on the phone. They were the first to pop up on a google search so I used them. I will be using them again in a few months.

This is the first time we have ever used a moving company but the whole experience was wonderful. It started off with my phone call with Chris to get an estimate. He was very friendly and explained everything in detail. We received emails and follow up phone calls. The move was today and started off with a phone call from the two men who were doing the actual moving to let us know they were leaving for the 3 1/2 hour drive to my son's apartment. We were not there but were waiting for them at our house for the unload. Both men were very nice and were moving at an extremely face pace even though it was about 90 degrees and they were very hot. They did a wonderful job and actually finished 1/2 hour ahead of schedule. I was very surprised at this since we had a very bad storm in the area last night and many traffic lights were not working and trees were strewn across many roads....so this tells you how fast they loaded and unloaded....and yet they were very careful with everything. I am bad at remembering names but the names on the invoice were Cooper and Holly....I'm thinking those were their last names maybe? If we ever need movers again I will definitely call Two Men & a Truck.....and I will also see if I can request these same 2 men. Again, I cannot say enough about these movers....I am so happy with my decision to choose this company!

They were very professional and took good care of my furniture.

They are trustworthy. They are aware of how important it is to keep your belongings separate from those of others.

Overall, things were fine. The crew - JT, Vince and Melvin - were very nice and helpful, and worked non-stop. They did a very good job packing and were very careful loading and unloading. It did seem, however, that they started very slowly and once they saw all that was needed to be done, they picked up the pace. I helped some in unloading as they were five hours behind schedule. The major complaint I have is with the estimation. We asked twice if they (Two Men and a Truck) didn't want to visit our house to make a more educated estimation as it seemed they were "light" in their initial one. They estimated it would take 4 hours to pack (it took close to 5) and about the same to load/unload which actually took 9.56 hours or twice as long. Of course, this also meant I paid $500 more than originally estimated. But, all in all, things went fine and I would use them again.

A family member was leaving an assisted-living facilty and one-room of furniture needed to be removed to release the room from further rental charges. Based on prior reports from Angie's List, we called Two Men and a Truck. Although this was a very small job, they were responsive in getting us a quote, scheduling a move within a few days, and d*** the move in a very timely and professional manner. Every thing about this job was well done and professional.

They did a good job. The price was reasonable, and they did everything that I expected.

Every time we move in Columbus, that's who we use. We've used them three times now. We used them seven years ago when we from Trotters Way our home presently. Their service was really good. There were two guys and a truck. They came over and they loaded everything up. They were very gentle with our belongings. They didn't drop anything or break anything. They moved the furniture up the steps that was heavy that we couldn't move. They were very helpful. They are polite young man. They were really hard working.

It was just a local move. They were good.

It was awful. We will never use them again. We have used moving services before and the whole thing they were almost overly wrapping everything. But that was their way. These people had a very opposite mind set. They took our drawers and shoved the glass things into drawers and did not wrap them in anything. We had at least 10 to 15 broken items that when the guy came to evaluate, undervalued them. It may not be much but that is my stuff. They damaged several pieces of furniture of which three of them were new. My husband had a bunch of clothes and they used hanging boxes and they packed it so full and then they decided that they cannot pack them there anymore so they put the clothes in the bottom of the box. He had newly dry washed clothes from the dry cleaners that he had to send back to the dry cleaners again since they were completely ruined. There were three men who came and one of them was extremely confrontational with the others and that made me extremely uncomfortable because my three year old son and I were there while they were packing everything up. He was very slow and he asked if he could charge his phone while he was at the house. Likewise there were so many things that just one after the other after the other. The drive came to just about three hours and it took them almost five hours. Then they got here, unpacked until late that night and they did not leave even until later. When the man came to do the evaluation he acted like that it was not much and it is really only the inconvenience of re-purchasing them. They lost one of the bolts to my son’s eagle and I asked them where that bolt was. They just took all the bolts and dropped into one of the kitchen boxes. So while I was rummaging through everything I discovered the bolt to my son’s eagle. So they did not separate things. When they moved us in they put things in the wrong rooms. I told all of this to the man who came to evaluate and he gave us back a large refund back of the price but I had to haggle with him and I just didn’t feel like he understood me when I was talking to him. I told him that the men who came , the two were fine but one was confrontational and asking questions like when is the break, when is my lunch, when is that , when is this, don’t pack that way. We will never use them again. We got such great recommendation from other people about them. That they are more affordable, and that they are really good. May be I just had a horrible awful experience from a great company. But personally I will never use them again. Price wise they were good.
