They arrived on time and did a good job of repairing the faucet handle. It screw threads were worn down. However, the repair as very expensive, especially considering that it took less than an hour to repair. I wonder whether it would have been more cost-effective to replace the faucet assembly.

The owner was very professional and punctual. He did a good job of explaining the problem and how to mediate the mold. His estimate was accurate and the job was completed on time. I would use the company again.

Discovered and unclogged kitchen drain. Technician was remarkably professional, fair, and even humorous. Price was fair for the work performed and within the given estimate. Will certainly use this firm in the future, although I hope I don't have to do so.

The day was not a great one to be out on roads (snow and nasty traffic) but the main office was great letting me know about how long it would take for Zach to be there. They arrived in that time frame. Everything was fixed and cleaned up, even took a look at the sump pump to make sure it was in working order. I appreciated them coming out on such a bad weather day.

I was called and told that all the plumbers were on calls and that the 1st available would be sent. I waited all day and finally the plumber arrived after 3pm. Since I was never given a specific time, and it was the last day of my vacation, I had plenty to do but did not want to start the dishwasher (2 hour cycle) or the washer (1 hour cycle) without knowing when or if I would need to shut it down because of the hot water needed. Once the plumber arrived, I was very pleased with being told what needed doing (the previous DIY owner had made it harder than it should have been to reconnect), how much it would cost, etc. He offered me the choice of him coming back or staying as it was so late in the day. He stayed and finished the job after 6 pm to my profuse thanks. He was very professional with a minimum of disruptions to the household (as determined by the noise level of my many birds), with minimal ups and downs. He cleaned up after himself and pushed everything back into place (hard to do with less than a half inch clearance between the wall-refrigerator-small cabinet-stove-wall).

I was having trouble disconnecting an adapter from the gas line so I decided to give The Waterworks a try. Two employees came out for the installation arriving on time. They both put on slippers over their shoes so as not to dirty the carpet, which was nice. One of them went around the house checking for gas leaks while the other connected the flexible hose up to the main line. Then they both switched, so that the other connected the hose up to the gas stove. They then checked that the oven worked which was nice and slid the oven into the cabinets for me. They were very helpful the whole time and gave excellent service. There isn't anything to complain about other than it being a bit pricier than I had expected even with me supplying the parts.

We discovered water in our basement Sunday morning. Our normal plumber didn't return our call for 5 hours, by which time we'd called The Waterworks. They sent a plumber out and fixed what turned out to be a relatively simple issue with the sump pump.

Can't say enough good things about these guys, They were prompt, professional and caring of our home while they did their work. What we like was that when I called them, they were able to come out on short service. They were very flexible with the time. The person who answers their phone is very friendly, very prompt, and very assisting. They were very professional when they came out . Everything was as promised. The only thing with them was that I thought that their prices were high but everything else would be very, very good. Other than the price, I thought that the quality of their service was excellent. I just thought their services were high.

When I called the company, they were sympathetic to my issue, understood the urgency and were very willing to have someone come out and take a look to see what can be done. Technician arrived promptly, was courteous concerning his shoes (slipped on the shoe protectors) and was skilled to be able to troubleshoot the situation. He made his recommendation and scheduled an appointment the following morning at 8 am. He also had another division of his company (restoration) come out to assist in a clean-up quote. The following morning, right on time, the technician arrived, performed the repair with minimal wall damage, capped off the pipe and left the area very clean. The restoration department arrived shortly after and offered a very reasonable quote for the drywall repair as well as drying the wet areas. Everyone I spoke to was very professional and very friendly. I would highly recommend their services and would use their services again.

David Canning was very knowledgeable, professional, timely, and , through; as well as responsive to my concerns. I felt that the price was a little high for the scope of the next phase of the work.
Description of Work: Video inspected the line from house to septic. Marked and located the line, and branch. Located the area of disruption/separation in line. Discovered that break in line was on the exterior or the house; and would not entail digging up the basement floor, as another contractor had indicated would be necessary. Called back with price.

On Oct. 15th I contacted Waterworks utilizing their "Why Wait?" contact function of their website. This allows you to contact them via a electronic submission form. I received an immediate (automated) response in my email. This response stated that a dispatcher would be calling to confirm my appointment. This call never came. On the 21st I contacted The Waterworks, again by email, asking why no one had contacted me in any way. A dispatcher called a few hours later to set up the video inspection and possible sewer cleaning (if needed). On the 24th a Waterworks employee arrived at about 8:30am, after being rerouted by dispatch, as he had been driving to Columbus. Note the 24th was the agreed upon date. He chiseled off a brass clean-out cap and proceeded to camera the line. After ~ 8' he was unable to navigate a 90degree turn in the line and was unable to proceed any further. After reviewing the 8' of line we both agreed that the line had many offsets (sections of pipe that had separated) and at least one break. Thus we agreed that this was the source of the water in the basement. He took many pictures and video of the basement interior and the exterior of the house. I was completely satisfied with his performance. The cost for 8' of video $250.00. He stated that someone would contact me to provide an estimate of the repairs that would be needed (either digging up the line and replacing or lining the pipe interior). Dispatch contacted me the next day and we set a date for the following Thu. (I travel during much of the week). The following Thu. the 31st, I took off and we were waiting on the estimator before we left for a weekend trip with the children. We received a call from dispatch stating that the estimator would be unavailable after-all. This was after almost a week of knowing this was on their schedule. Do to going out of town we again had to schedule for the next Thu. On the 7th the estimator called to say he was running late and could he come close to 5pm on his way home, which I agreed to. When he arrived he looked over the system, stated that he had not reviewed the video or the notes of the camera inspection, but believed that we could relign the pipe. I asked for estimates both ways and he stated that I should have them the next day, the 8th. I have yet to see anything. So for over a month this has been going on. I have $250.00 invested with Waterworks to prove what I already believed to be the case. But I knew it would have to be done in order for Waterworks to determine the setup for proper repairs. Their inability to follow through has been abhorrent and inexcusable. I have nothing but disappointment over this experience, especially since I have worked with the company in the past as the Environmental Manager of a paper mill. We had utilized their services on a number of excavations and underground pipe repairs (but under the leadership of a company purchased by Waterworks called Strawser). So perhaps that is the difference, different divisions, and different leadership. But this has been below sub-par and I would hope is an embarrassment to the management of Waterworks. Note this section is included after the response from Waterworks below. Approx. 1.5 weeks after posting this review I requested a copy of the sewer video from Waterworks so I could get a quote from other companies, since they weren't providing one. When I called I was transferred to someone who asked, "Has Scott talked to you yet?" I responded no, I didn't know a Scott from Waterworks and no one from the company had contacted me in any way. At that time they still had not responded to this posting, though they did within a day of the conversation just noted. I requested a copy of the video and was told that they would see that I got it within a few days. A day or two later we received a message from "Scott", stating he would like to drop a flash drive, with the video on it, off at the house. I called him back, told him he was welcome to and stated when I would be home. He arrived and gave me the video and a card which stated that they were sorry for messing up. He asked about my experience and I related the above. He apologized repeatedly and asked if they might still have an opportunity to quote. I told him yes (with some hesitation), but that we were getting other quotes. We spoke about the project and he stated he should have everything he needed and we should have a quote back within a week. After a week and a bit, Scott stopped by again, saying he was missing information and asked to look at the basement. My wife let him in and he stated that he hadn't understood what the other Waterworks employees had been telling him; but now after seeing it for himself, it was clear to him what was needed. It should be noted that two other employees had been in the house before, they had measurements, video from in the sewer, video of the basement, and video of the backyard all back in October. Scott stated that he felt the offsets could be "patched" and we would have a quote shortly. NOW OVER TWO MONTHS AFTER THIS BEGAN WE STILL DO NOT HAVE A QUOTE FROM WATERWORKS!!! We have heard nothing further from them in any way. As noted in Waterworks response below they state, "There are no excuses, we dropped the ball." Now after having involved a Vice President, a Customer Service Team Lead, and an individual from Commercial Business Development, they still have accomplished nothing more than they did on the 15th of Oct. As I told Scott when he came to the house, it is NOT MY JOB, to chase Waterworks around and make them do theirs. If they were not interested in the job, that was all they needed to say. We would have been fine with it and found someone else in October. Instead they have led me and my wife on a not so merry Goose chase, with continual promises of interest and a quote right around the corner. What in the world Waterworks is up to I have no idea. If this is their idea of customer service, they must have a SPP (sales prevention plan) in place. Do they want irritated customers? Is there a bet inside the office to see how long they can string us along? I haven't the foggiest. In all I can not come to any logical conclusion as to why they have failed so abysmally, with some many people at high levels involved in the process of generating a simple quotation.
Description of Work: The provider was to provide a camera to inspect what I believed to be an offset or broken sanitary line that came off of my back bathroom. We were getting water between the basement wall and the foundation and I believed it was coming from this sanitary line. They were to inspect, clean if necessary, determine repair solutions, and then initiate repairs. Over the course of 1 month, they have only completed the video inspection of eight feet of line and nothing else.

Sir, On behalf of The Waterworks, I apologize. There are no excuses, we dropped the ball. It is apparent that a number of internal inconsistencies and disconnects are at issue here and as a result service provided to you was subpar. The repairman arrived in a timely manner. He unclogged the drain with a power snake. In doing so, the tip of the snake went through a pipe in the bathroom sink drain. He went to a local hardware store and got the necessary supplies to repair the pipe. He was here for 2-3 hours and completed the work without leaving any clean up to be done. I definitely would call Waterworks in the event of a similar need.

While our leaky basement was getting fixed we found out that the previous owner had the washing machine dumping into the the old drain tile. I called The WaterWorks around noon, and had someone at the house around 4 pm to take a look at what needed to be done and offer suggestions. We were fortunate to have a pipe for the septic tank that could be tied into about 10 feet further down the wall. The gentleman from The WaterWorks discussed some different options and we decided that moving the hook-ups would be the most cost effective one. While he was working he made sure that we were informed of everything he was doing, he got the copper lines moved, replaced some old valves that were beginning to leak and provided excellent customer service. He even took care of a few, "can you look at this too" issues we had. I would use them again.

Everything went extremely well. From the initial pickup when I called them to the service provided on-site. On-time, professional, courteous, and friendly. I had a few items on my list that for the technician to tackle. But also asked for an overall assessment. I got a thorough explanation of all the work that was done as well as the items I asked him to review. For example, my new home has a well and a water softener (2 things I am new to) and asked for an assessment. Assessment was done, but I was also educated on how to operate these items as well as what to keep my eye open for. I've used The Waterworks many times and like always, was completely pleased this time.

Called on Monday to book an appointment for Saturday. Given 8AM-12PM window. After two calls to dispatch, technician showed up ~1:30PM. Nice guy; pricey estimate but you pay overtime on the weekends (which I knew) so I had him perform the work anyway. Finished between 3:30PM-4:00PM. A few hours later, went to jump in the shower and had no hot water. Called dispatch who called technician, who told me he had turned my hot water tank to pilot. Currently waiting for water to heat up so I can take a shower - wasting my evening just as I wasted my day waiting around. Quality of work seems fine and everyone was nice enough, but I won't be calling this company back.

After four evenings of attempting to dislodge the lime peels I used to freshen the garbage disposer, I succumbed and the drain won. I called The Waterworks at 6:30 a.m. and spoke with Jennifer, who was pleasant, professional, and overall helpful, to set up an appointment for that morning. About 11 am, two employees arrived - two for the price of one due to truck maintenance or something. Both young men were professional - all business. I explained the various things I tried - plunging, hand auger, and drain cleaner. One man advised what types of drain cleaner I should be using for the old pipes. He also told me the price was $198 for the first hour and $98 for additional hours, though a kitchen drain shouldn't take that long. I expected about $125-$135, however, I failed to ask when I spoke to Jennifer. I was able to use a $20 Angies list coupon. I had removed the standing water, taken items from under the sink, and disassembled the plastic piping to the pipe in the wall. They had to use an electric auger to snake the line, which took about 15 minutes. They reassembled the piping and told me that I had a leaking faucet under sink. I had planned to change it at some time, but decided not to have them do it due to the estimated cost of $393, including the Moen faucet. I asked about the cost to remove the garbage disposer and wiring and passed at $198.00. They were knowledgeable and skilled - no doubt about that. Along they way they offered many helpful tips. I am naive about the cost of plumbing, since I do a lot of the simple things myself - flush valves, toilet supply lines, and faucets - so I had to get over the sticker shock, and was relieved to get it working again.

I noticed a leak from the disposal under the kitchen sink. I thought the seal had gone bad since the disposal was 14 years old. I called Waterworks and they wanted to set up an appointment for an estimate as soon as possible. The appointment was scheduled within the next 24 hours. They could have done it sooner, but my schedule didn't permit it. I also had a pucket under the disposal in the meantime. The next day, they arrived actually at the beginning of their 4 hour appointment window. I was very appreciative of that. The service guy found the problem and showed it to me. The leak was the disposal itself. The back side of the disposal at the drain connection had started to corrode. He provided an estimate on a replacement unit which was very reasonable (based upon internet searches). He asked if we wanted to upgrade the unit and I kindly said no. We haven't had any problems with the existing one until now. He wasn't pushy about the matter. So he replaced it with the exact same make and model. The entire service call took about 1 1/2 hours to replace the disposal. He accepted my $20 off coupon from Angie's List when it came time to pay the bill. I was very pleased with the overall service, from the initial call to the time the gentleman walked out the door. This was the first time I've ever had to use a plumbing service and was very happy with whole process. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The plumber arrived right at the scheduled time, calling about 20 min beforehand to confirm. He gave an estimate that seemed fair and so I had him do the work. I really liked that they did not charge for me to have him come and give the estimate. All the others I had called wanted a service fee whether I had them do the work or not. The work was done quickly and he cleaned up everything afterwards. Very professional !!

They promptly arrived at our home late on a Tuesday evening, repaired the water main and then helped us proceed with and provided for the rebuilding of the damaged areas. During the rebuild process they were very professional, making sure that all the work was completed with the utmost care, as if they were working on their own homes. They cleaned everything up spotlessly and even matched a very specific color that we used on our kitchen walls perfectly. Although all of the aforementioned was amazing an extension to the blessing that they were to us was found in the kindness, integrity and care that was offered throughout the process. During this time we lost a family member. The team went out of their way to make sure all of the repairs went smoothly even offering words of comfort and support. I would without hesitation recommend Waterworks to others.
Description of Work: We had a water main break and Waterworks repaired the break and completed our re-build.

It pains me to post such a negative review but that's what is deserved here. Provider's employee replaced wax donut that was said to be the source of a toilet leak. After closing on the house, I noticed that the tank rocked back and forth in a big way on the base of the toilet -- an obvious setup for future leaks. (It's possible that the base was rocking as well, I don't remember that it was but the tank was rocking so much I may have missed the base rocking as well -- on what I later determined to be a non-level, non-flat floor underneath.) I called Waterworks based on the receipt that the seller gave me, the same plumber-employee promptly came out "on-time" and told me that the previous owner only wanted the wax donut replaced. He cautioned me not to rock to tank for fear of inducing a leak, as if the toilet was somehow safe to use as-is. He told me that he could do a "generic rebuild" on what is a toilet no longer manufactured for about $300. I asked him how a licensed plumber could perform a "leak repair" that left the fixture ready to spring a leak again anytime. He repeated that's what the owner wanted. Ultimately, I replaced the toilet myself. My gripe is that a licensed professional should not perform half-baked repairs no matter what an owner wants. In this case this employee left a fixture in-place that was obviously ready to fail at any time. He should have told the owner that he would not partially repair an existing toilet that was on the OBVIOUS verge of failure for other reasons. Sadly, the cost of putting in a new toilet would have only been $100 more than he charged for what was a worthless half-job. He offered no consideration with regard to re-doing the job correctly, as it should have been done initially, or not at all. Installation of new toilet in other bathroom on 7/24/2013 by a different employee of the same firm appears okay.
Description of Work: Provider was hired by previous owner of condo we just bought to "fix a toilet leak." Provider also replaced another toilet on a service call near the same date. It's the first issue that is the topic of this report.
