The Waterworks

I called this company to inquire about a coupon in the February publication that Angie's List sends out. I was trying to figure out if they would honor the coupon, because it was expired. They told me that I would have to follow up with Angie's List about the coupon. The receptionist I spoke with had a horrible attitude through the entire converastion. When I asked about scheduling an appointment, they demanded a credit card number for the home owner, which was odd because we had already used their services in the past and they should have had our information saved. The provider said they would honor the coupon, but the attitude that came with that was unsettling. Her tone was not pleasant and she acted like she was doing us a huge favor by honoring a coupon that they were advertising in the publication. The coupon expired at the end of January, and it was being advertised in February's publication. I ended up deciding not to use their services and went with another company.

Called first thing this morning and was given an appointment within 2 hours. I thought I would have to wait much longer. Got a call when the service man was on the way. He was nice and did a great job. Drain works great now.

This was a multi-step process and each time we were told in advance what was to be done next and when. All steps were completed and done in a very timely manner. The crew was very respectful to our home and cleared away any materials that weren't there when they arrived. Photo's of the cleared areas of the attic where shown to us when the job was complete.

I called on Monday because I had a leak coming from the icemaker water line. They asked if I could wait until Tuesday early am. They scheduled me between 8-12 and the repairman was out by 8:30 a.m. Chris found the leak. I stated that I wanted the water line rerouted to go from under my sink to the refrigerator. With my approval he slowed the leak to a drip (added a pan to catch the water) and suggested that if I purchased my own line it would cut the cost. I agreed. He scheduled himself to return on Wednesday morning. The work took about an hour and everything was working great. l did have a little problem that night when I cut the old line. The valve would not shut entirely off. Waterworks sent Doug out early the next day and repair it and did not charge me for the call. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a plumber!

. Pearl was the associate who visited both times and was FANTASTIC!! We over into a 1920's home. Since we had new hardwood floors installed, the existing bolts for pedestal sink were too low. Pearl was able to install new anchor bolts at a higher location without tearing out drywall. The basement drain pipe was leaking and was full of corrosion around fittings. Plus the pipe was in a tight space in old, unfinished part of basement. Pearl replaced the section and leveled off the utility sink. Waterworks is now my go to company for plumbing work. I am going to call in spring for other projects plus install a water softener. The central office is fantastic and communication was great on all fronts.

I thought the price was a little high, but needed the work completed. As I was paying them when they were finishing the work, I had someone at the door and forgot to give them a $35 coupon that I had from Angie's List. I called and asked them for a refund for the coupon. They informed me that I can have $35 off the next visit. I called them within minutes of them leaving the house. I was not happy about the result, as a first time customer with this customer service. I probably won't use them again in the future.

Waterworks is my go to company for plumbing type issues. This is the third time I have used them and as always they were fast, efficient, fairly priced, and explained everything.

Provider, due to the demands on plumbings services arising out of the severe weather, scheuled an appointment for me eight days out from my phone call to repair a laundry room sink that was not producing any water pressure for the cold water setting. Provider gave me a four-hour window of time in which they would call me to let me know that they were on their way to my house for the repairs. Provider called very timely and arrived as they had promised. Service technician Robert was a pleasure to work with and took the time to explain the problem---a faulty washer connection within the faucet head----and promptly repaired it. I have used this provider many times and have always been quite impressed with all aspects of their work, the professionals that come to the house, and the fact that they are always quite punctual. With issues concerning water problems , I want to make sure that I am dealing with the best and I believe that this company is tops when it comes to pluming work.

Rich came out and assessed situation on Tuesday (pipe leaking water into basement floor). He lobbied to get the excavation team out here the next day; they arrived at 8:30 in subzero weather the next morning to excavate outside basement wall; they repaired line and put in a PVC sleeve. This was all accomplished in under 3 hours with only expected damage to outside landscaping. Rich called later that day to follow up. The next day the restoration rep came out and determined that there was no moisture in the walls and that no treatment would be needed if we cleaned the floor and replaced carpet and pad. All our points of contact were considerate, knowledgeable and informative.

Had an appointment for yesterday, 1-28-14, between 12:00-4:00. No plumber, no phone call. Done.

NO SHOW AND NO CALL!! I called for an estimate on installing a gas line for a new gas range. After waiting for a week for an estimate appointment, I waited from 8;00am to 12:00pm during my scheduled time for them to come. No one showed up and no one called. I called them at 12;15pm to ask about my appointment. I was told a tech would call me right back. I finally received a call at 3:00pm. I told them not to bother coming. My time is important too. It was rude to make me sit home and wait and never get a phone call telling me they would not be able to keep their appointment time. VERY unprofessional!.

The job required two workers because additional cable was required for the machine and operation of the jet spray required two workers. The workers were friendly and professional.

It went great, Daren was professional and a pleasure to work with!

I used them over Christmas. We had a backup in our main line and another company wanted to do an expensive repair. They had a bigger line and the machine busted up. They did not have sufficient equipment, but Waterworks did! They were also less expensive. We only spent about 300 dollars. The comparison in price was huge. They had an easier solution and saved us a lot of money. They had a camera. They had more line. They saved us time and money. They were very honest. I highly recommend calling them! I would give them top marks for everything. They did everything they said they were going to do and we were extremely happy with the price. The other company quoted 4000 and Waterworks quoted 300 dollars.

,A Waterworks plumber came out and crawled up into our attic to try to see the problem pipes. He could see them but working on them was going to be difficult. My husband, the plumber, and I talked over maybe removing our old fiberglass tub surround to get better access from the inside. This did provide easier access. Our tub surround was old and we wanted to replace it soon. The plumber asked if we wanted him to remove it or do it ourselves. We wanted him to stay and get the job going. He removed part of the tub surround, replaced the pipe, and cleaned up. We agreed to put in extra insulation(as we desired), remove the rest of the tub, then install a new tub. The work was done well. We are happy to have had a quick response and good price.

I called to have a plumber out on Saturday, January 11, 2014 to provide services to one of my rental properties. Since it was a Saturday, I was quoted $94.00 and informed that I would be called by the technician for diagnosis and or approval for additional repairs and charges if required. If no call, then I would be charged $94. I did not receive a call from the technician, so was surprised to see that my credit card was charged $241. I called on Monday, 1/13/14 to inquire providing all of the above information and asked for a receipt to be provided which would show services rendered, and was told by a customer service rep that it would be passed on to a manager and they would get back to me. Since I had not heard from the manager by week's end, on Saturday, 1/18/14 I left a message with the billing department and they called me back on Monday, 1/20/14. After again explaining my circumstance to the billing dept. they said they would forward my complaint to the original manager. I called in again on 1/21/14, and asked to speak with the manager and he was not available so I left a voice mail with this manager's boss and when I did not hear back from him that day, I sent an email message the next morning to him. The manager called within the an hour and said they had not done what they were supposed to do, and credited my account for $147. Not sure why I needed to go through all of this trouble to receive the credit. I would not use them again, and puzzled as to their status as a multiple Super Service Award provider.

He came out within an hour or two of when I made the request. He snaked out the tub to remove the clog. He answered some questions I had on another less urgent plumbing issue. It only took about 30-40 minutes.

They were able to come out within a 2 hour frame time. Job took about 45 minutes to complete. Tech explain what he was doing so I had a better understanding of what was being done and why.

They came out to fix a issue on two of our toilets one toilet fix turned out fine. However the second one they were working on somehow when they tried to reestablish working condition they could not stop the leaking so I had to go buy a new unit all together. They did a a fair job. They knew what they were doing. I wasn't completely satisfied because of the additonal cost of buying the new unit but I did get a $40.00 dollar deduction for the work that was done with a coupon from Angie's List so that helped but it was still a little more pricey then I would of hoped. I have used this company in the past and have been completely satisified with other services.

I got phone call about 20 minutes before they arrived to make sure I was at home. The two guys from Waterworks came, got busy, replaced the sink drain with the old, rusted out pop-up connection, tested for leaks, and it was done. Both guys were courteous and professional.

The morning of the appointment day, we experienced an overflowing toilet in our 1/2 bath on the first floor. So when Brian came from Waterworks we asked him to ream the toilet line too. He unclogged the utility sink in the basement first. Then he tackled the line from the toilet to the basement. When he did this line, an explosion of heavy, heavy sludge, grease, and scale buildup occurred out of the pipe in the basement. He stayed for a very long time to attempt to clean up the basement floor and the wall which received a lot of the debris. My husband had to repaint the entire wall which received most of the debris. We felt that Waterworks did a great job.

They did a lot of stuff. The service is 100% good. They offered a good price. They came and did the job in a timely manner...no problem. He was very professional; he even gave me his number in case something happens at night.

They came the next day and installed the new valves. The technician was professional, courteous and did a fine job. The price was very reasonable. I will definately use Waterworks again.

On Saturday we discovered we had no water...thinking it might be weather-related and since we had no indications of leaking we decided to give it a couple days...after increased temperatures on Sunday we decided to call Waterworkson Monday to see if we were even receiving water to our house. I had already talked with the City of Columbus and they had no reports of outages or planned work in our area. I scheduled an appointment with Brian and was given an arrival time between 12-4pm. I received a follow up call by a young woman (did not catch her name) to confirm some details so they ensured the proper technicians arrived. Around 2pm I received another call from James stating that the technicians were in route and should be there in 30-40 minutes, which they were. The two gentlemen that arrived were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. I did not cath their names, but the invoice has their technician IDs as JB2 and JA1. They gave me a quote for dropping the meter, which I agreed to. One of our curb boxes was inaccessible due to the sleeve shifting in the ground and I could not find the second box due to the re-freezing that had taken place. They did drop the meter and showed me that in fact we were not receiving water to our meter. The technicain recommended that I contact the City of Columbus again to have they check the main line and curb boxes and also gave me contact information for leak seekers in the unfortunate event that there was a slab leak (as our house is a poured slab foundation with no basement). They were extremely helpful and the time in which they finished was less than originally anticipated, so my final cost was reduced :-) and reduced again when I presented my angies list coupon for $20. I was familiar with Waterworks because my employer has used their services in the past with excellent results, so I felt confident in using them. The ratings and coupon were helpful too :-) Update: I did contact the City and a technician came out later that evening to my surprise. He located both curb boxes and found the functional box to be open, so the initial inspection suggested that there was a problem with the main line and he was going to submit a work order for their leak detection crew to assess the situation. As he was getting ready to leave one of our neighbors pulled up offered up some interesting information...he rents to our neighbor and they had had a broken pipe Saturday. Without getting too compicated, he had turned off the curb box in front of the house thinking it was theirs, but it was atually ours! He had somehow been unable to turn it back ona nd didn't know he had possibly turned our water off until he the waterworks and the city show up...lol. Apparently when our house was built the city refused to extend the main down the road (We are the last house at the end of a no outlet road), so they took a pipe off the main where it stopped (two houses down) and ran that to our house....Thankfully it was an easy fix, but not one we ever expected (even the tech from the City had never seen anything like it). So, we are now more educated about the plumbing coming into our house, we don't have a slab leak (yay!), AND most importantly we have water again! You may not have been able to determine the root problem (even the City probably would have taken a few more days to figure it out had my neighbor not stepped forward), but your technicians helped elimiate possible culprits and gave me great advise! Thank You! I am sold on Waterworks and will use you again for any future plumbing needs.
