The Waterworks

They were really good - we like them. They were very professional. They dealt directly with our insurance company, too, which made it easy.

Ben was very professional and did great work. while the ceiling was drying he helped me with a few other paint items around the house. There still was some evidence of the hole so the owner came out and applied another coat. It looks great.

Mike Spry was on time and did a good job replacing the main valve in a timely manner. He was extra helpful in replacing a small panel of wood in front of the cupboard housing the water main. Thank you Waterworks again for a job well done.

The plumber was personable, professional, competent.

This is one of several visits to make our basement whole again. First visit was an assessment of water leaking from the bathroom and damaging dry wall in the basement on top of fixing the pipe. These professionals have been helping us from roughly 3/25 - 4/7 with one standing appointment left on 4/10. Anthony fixed the pipe and replaced it $600. Keith came out later that day and assessed the potential fix to remove the bad dry wall and replace. Done. Set up the date/time for the removal. Mike came out and removed the bad dry wall. Cut out a part of our wall fast and to the point. Awesome job. Today Steve came out to replace the dry wall. Thursday he comes out again to sand and finish up. Every single time we've called Water Works (recently here in the last few weeks) they respond, are professional, happy to work with providing awesome customer service. No matter whom you are partnered with you get amazing service, fair pricing and top notch work. There is no one else to work with - super happy!

The promptness and hard work was appreciated by Jim and felt that he was very knowledgable and hard working. So why are we a little frustrated? Well, after the repair we called Columbia Gas to have the gas turned on, but to are surprise Columbia Gas couldn't because the only cut off valve to the stove was removed and an assumtion was made that there was one behind the stove...not so! So, there we are at 8pm on Friday night (We started this repair at Around 12noon) standing in the kitchen with the Columbia gas tech who is now on the phone with her supervisor about gas codes and then having an argument with the Waterworks tech who was out earlier about what's right or wrong for the location the shut off valve to the stove. Finally, Waterworks shows back up to hook up the shut off valve behind the stove which was easier for them and by that time(9pm) I had just given up and wanted the job done. By this time we had to wait until the next day to have the gas turn on. Again, the only real issue here is that the customer got stuck in the middle of a code issue of which both Columbia Gas and Waterworks could have been correct but never really resolved the question and that the customer felt that he had to settle for maybe less than.

They did a good job and were in and out within an hour. They had two guys come out and were able to do our job the same day we called which was great as it was an emergency.

Very happy with service and workmanship. Jeremy was excellent. Had burst water heater late Saturday, arrived early Sunday to repair. Price was high but had to replace on the Sunday. Would recommend.

Rick arrived on time, was very polite, introduced himself. Rick explained what needed to be done, completed the job, cleaned up the space. We were very pleased.

This is a little difficult to rate due to the unique nature of our situation. They had a unique offer of not charging to come out to see what the problem was and would only charge if they actually performed any work. The person who came was very pleasant and professional. He actually reached into the drain to try to determine if there was some sort of obstruction. In doing so, he pulled out a glass baby food jar that must have been in there before we bought the house. He had no explanation as to why it hadn't caused a problem sooner other than that it must have been lodged and had finally worked its way loose causing a blockage that forced the water to back up when the washing machine drained. Since there was no actual work performed, we weren't charged. We have not had a problem with this drain since.

They showed up about when they said they would. I can't say anything about price, it WAS 1am when I called. Courteous, friendly, professional.

The technician came to my house and was not pleased with the work another company had already performed so he proceeded to attempt to clean the line. When he had no luck unclogging it he also advised having it replaced. He said that he would put a request in to have someone contact me to give me an estimate. I was never contacted by the company and went with another company to have the line replaced. I will not use this company again.

We were able to make an appointment from Chicago while on vacation which was very convenient. We scheduled for 3/27/2014 for the day after we returned from vacation and they had an appointment from 8-12 time frame, i received a phone call at 8:15 that the plumber would be out in 30-45 minutes. Daren arrived at 8:45 like they said and he was very professional fixed the problem and was done at 9:35, upon completion he asked me if i was an Angie's List customer and i told him we were and he said there was a coupon for us if we wish to use it. This alone saved us $35.00 which was great seeing how we just returned from vacation with less cash than we left.

My overall experience with them has been excellent. Their workers worked really hard when they were here. They showed up when they were supposed to. It was about a three or four day project. It was a lot of work and those guys worked like I cannot tell you. Their supervisor was very knowledgeable. He was extremely professional. This was one of the commercial grade type projects done in a residential area in a very small space and they did not leave a nick to trim around my garage. They were down in there with ladders, did hand digging and they had to remove big sandstone rocks, etc. I live in a historical house and they were able to do all this without any damage and that was amazing. We had several estimates from different providers to solve the problem and Water Works caused the least damage and the cost was fair. Regarding quality, I think they did a very good job.

My toilet was leaking from the tank and after a couple attempts to fix it on my own I called in a professional. They did a good job and the leak has not returned.

The service technician was really good. I believe his name was Rob (Tech ID #RW2). He was nice, professional, on time and answered all of my questions. He snaked the drain promptly and explained the process and most likely cause as he worked. Everything was cleaned up and looked like it did when he arrived. I have used Waterworks in the past and will definitely use them in the future!

)They were very responsive and came out immediately. The job itself was done appropriately (the line has stayed open since then and I have had no troubles). However, the professionalism of the person who came left a lot to be desired. He was clearly not all that happy about working, and he left a huge mess for me to clean up. First, he did not put a tarp down on the floor, and the very heavy machine he brought in left permanent black marks on my floor. There was also sludge left on the floor and around the drain under the sink. When I asked him to clean up, he grudgingly wiped the floor a bit (which didn't do anything and then said he had done the best he could. I had to really scrub to get up the non-permanent marks. I'm still unclear as to how the floor got so dirty so far from the actual work that he was doing. But it was also clear that he was completely unwilling to clean up. I have never had a service provider leave me with such a mess. I have always been happy with the WaterWorks services, and, because of that, will use them again, but I would not let this particular employee enter my house again.

Our electric tankless water heater was having big time problems keeping up this very cold winter. We researched water heaters and suppliers and chose Waterworks. We also decided to put in a water filtration system given the terrible quality of Columbus water. Mike did a terrific job and walked us through every step so that we understood what was going on. We have had it for almost a month now and we are very happy with the results. I gave a B on the price since there was another supplier with a lower price, but we went with Waterworks anyway and are glad we did.

Anthony came out this AM first thing after I had submitted a ticket via Angie's List only on Monday asking for some help with water in the basement. He showed up Tuesday AM first thing. There's a 4 hour window. I asked the dispatcher for the 8 am - 12 noon slot for that next day - not an issue. This AM at 730 I get a call - can Anthony come out in an hour? Definitely! Fast fast service. Best part - he assessed the issue and fixed the pipe in less than an hour. We're in the middle of moving in and things are a mess. My printer won't work today and when I asked if he would honor the Angie's List Coupon he said he would and understood my challenge. He processed my credit card, honored my Angie's List discount and asked we submit a review. I'm very impressed with the dispatch service and with Anthony. Huge fan of Water Works and Anthony. Super polite, super professional and super efficient. Huge fan. Thank you!!!

The worker was very helpful. He gave me information I had not had before. He was thorough and timely.

No complaints about the broken mechanism in the sink or hot water heater igniter system (which was the bulk of the $900 bill!). However, this plumber "fixed" a supposedly leaking valve in the shower (what was leaking as it turns out is just the washer in the hand held shower attachment) by taking the wall assembly apart and put it back together with the hot and cold water sides switched. We have had an excellent experience with a previous plumber from The Waterworks but this one failed our expectations. Be forewarned that this company (The Waterworks) is large and hires many plumbers. Depending on whom you get, you may have an excellent experience or be ripped off.

They are always responsive and we have always had good service from waterworks, but this did not go well. The tech replaced the pipe and the next day it was leaking more than before. We had talked to him during the replacement and he said they could replace the heater for 1300 dollars, a six year replacement. When the heater was still leaking the next day, we just called Lowes and ordered a new one for 800 dollars. I called and reported the problem, and they would have sent somebody out the same day but i suspect they just would have told us the heater needed to be replaced, because it was nine years old. I was polite and asked what they could do for us about the 200 bill, but I have heard nothing. It was disappointing because i have always trusted them in the past

They have excellent discussions of the project. They listen intensely in terms of what we try to accomplish. They've been exceedingly helpful with problems that have come up through no fault of their own during the project. They are really an incredibly trustworthy company. They are one of the very few companies I would ever even consider letting in my house when I am not at home. They are not the cheapest in town, although I think their value is great. I do believe you get what you pay for. They've been incredibly patient and diligent as we kind of moved through this. It is bit of a tricky situation. It is a very small leak, but it has damaged several different things and it has been a long road to try and figure out what is the best way to do it. But that is one of the reasons why I like them so much. In addition to doing just basic plumbing work, they also do contracting to do things like the floor and subfloor and ceiling, and so it is great to be able to deal with a plumber who can also do all the other things. So when this project is finally completed, I am not going to have to deal with another company and that is tremendous. I would continue using them for just about anything. I've had them do something from as simple as a replacement faucet, to having to dig up my entire front yard, because the water main from the street to my house burst.
