Excellent customer service, prompt response, detailed breakdown with "value not to exceed" estimate. Price was more than I expected, so I did the work myself. Afterward, I realized it was a bigger task than imagined. Highly recommend especially if needing work ASAP.

They came quickly (same day) on what had to be arguably the busiest day of their year after -10 degree weather. Other plumbers we used in the past were overwhelmed. Gave these guys a try and they were wonderful, knowledgeable, courteous, didn't try to promote add ons. Will definitely use them again.

I called for an estimate to replace a broken auxiliary/sewer meter. The scheduler was pleasant and professional. She scheduled a date for someone to come out for the estimate. On the day of the appointment, a representative from the office called me 30 minutes before the end of my appointment window to let me know that they were running late and someone was still coming. She called back about 15 minutes later to let me know that someone was on his way. Justin arrived and looked at the meter. He had to call his supervisor for some information. He did not have a meter on the truck and the suppliers were closed at this point, so he would be unable to give me an estimate until to next day. However, since making the appointment, one of the toilets began leaking so I asked if he could to look at it. He looked at it and fixed the problem. I wanted to pay with a credit card. When he tried to call it in, he learned that that office had lost power. He said that he would call it in later and call me back with the confirmation number. To my surprise, he called back later that evening around 8 PM with the confirmation. And he promptly called back the next morning with the estimate for water meter. That level of responsiveness was very nice to see. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant and professional experience. The only criticism is that their prices seem to be a bit higher than others.

I called Waterworks on Memorial Day at 5 pm, and their technician, Biff, came to my house within the hour even though it was a holiday! Biff took one look at our system and instantly knew what the problem was. He quoted me a price of approximately $375 to do the repair work plus the additional holiday response fee of $94 less the Angie's List discount of $35. I agreed, and he completed the repairs in less than one and one-half hours. He did a fantastic job! We now have more pressure on the hot water side than before the problem developed. Judging by the excellent workmanship and high level of professionalism shown by Biff on this project, I will only call Waterworks whenever I need plumbing repairs; and I will be requesting that they send Biff to do any future plumbing repairs.
Description of Work: The Waterworks technician replaced inlet and outlet fittings on the hot water tank that had become so clogged with corrosion that we had no hot water pressure.

I found we had a water leak in our basement and tracked it down to the drain coming from the Kitchen sink. The leak appeared to be right as it goes through the sub floor in a very difficult place to get to. I called The Waterworks as we have used them before. A tech showed up and had to cut through the back of a cabinet to find the leak. He then cut the bad section out which was about 18 inches long. Upon recreating the same pipe stack and attempting to put it back it appears when the house was built and this plumbing was done the plumber forced this into the opening probably creating the stress crack and it has just gotten worse over time. He then created a new pipe with different bends to get it in the spot as it should have been done from the beginning. It was a very difficult situation and gladly the pipe went down to the basement in an accessible spot behind the cabients. Vic was great and was apologetic for cutting up the back of the cabinet. I was just glad he didn't have to tear into the structure of the cabinet and it is all fixed.

We called, schedule for the following day. They said the tech would call before coming over. Waterworks called mid afternoon to say our guy was running a little late, but he did call and stopped by to do the work. He was very polite, easy to communicate with, got to work and did a great job. Likely not the cheapest around, but they are organized, do good work, and seem to respect their customers, which I really appreciate.

The provider was contacted last week to replace a broken garbage disposal. An appointment was set between 8am and noon on 5/21. I was told a technician would call prior to arriving. Shortly after noon on 5/21, after having no contact from the provider, I called Waterworks. Upon inquiring as to when a technician would be arriving, I was told by customer service that my account showed that I called on 5/16 to cancel my appointment as I had found another service provider. I informed the customer service agent that I never called to cancel and they had made an error. The customer service agent offered to squeeze me in later that day, but had no idea what time a technician could arrive. As I had to report to work shortly after my phone call, I agreed to schedule an appointment for 5/22 instead. I chose an appointment window between 2pm and 6pm and asked the customer service agent to please contact my cell phone when the technician was on the way to my house. The customer service agent took my cell number and stated that she would note that contact needed to be made on my cell phone. At 5:40pm on 5/22, after again having no contact from Waterworks, I called to inquire about my appointment. I was told that the technicians were running behind and could not be given a time estimate as to when a technician would arrive at my house. At 6:15pm, after waiting for over 4 hours, I needed to run a quick errand, but trusted that I would be contacted by Waterworks on my cell phone and could quickly meet a technician at my house. I arrived home from my errand at 6:30pm to a message from Waterworks asking if a technician could be dispatched at that time for repairs. Had the customer service agent contacted my cell phone as I requested at the time this appointment was set, I could have quickly returned home to meet the technician. I have wasted over 8 hours of my valuable time waiting for service and will not be contacting the Waterworks again in fear of another customer service blunder.

The service rep, Cedric, is a great ambassador for Waterworks. He is very polite, knowledgeable & professional and is actually, the reason I'm now a member of the Angie's List community. He informed my wife of a $35 coupon for Waterworks available through Angie's List and we were able to save $25 immediately by purchasing a 1 year membership.

I thought the customer service was excellent. I liked the fact that my call was answered after hours at 6:30 p.m. and I could schedule a service call for the next day. (Rather than having to leave a message and wait for a call the next morning as other companies make you do after 5:00 p.m. when it's not an emergency.) Fifteen minutes before my scheduled time, I received a call that the repairman was in the area and was asked if I was ready for him. The repairman arrived on schedule and was professional throughout his work/visit including taking precautions not to leave a mess and explaining to me what the problem was and how he fixed it. I thought the cost of service of $175 was high but the $35 off coupon from Angie's List brought the cost down to where I expected it should be. The $175 was for the first hour of work and since he was able to finish it within an hour I wanted him to check another sink in the house. He explained to me, though, that their services were set as "menu items" and that would be another service so he'd have to charge me another "menu item" which would be another $100+. I was disappointed that I couldn't get my "hours worth" but the pricing was made clear to me so I had to accept it was their policy. Other plumbers, though, usually will at least look at your other issues and let you know if it's an easy fix or not. Overall, I am happy with the customer service, professionalism, and service provided.

The first time I called to set up an appointment, the employee was pleasant and professional. The plumber that was sent out to give me an estimate to fix the leaking pipes was friendly and professional. In a nutshell, I had a cracked sewer pipe that would require part of the kitchen being torn apart to fix. The plumber said it would take all day to fix the pipe. I told the plumber I would call the following Monday, after I knew what days I could take off of work. That following Monday (May 5th around 1:00-1:30pm), I called Waterworks to make an appointment to fix the pipe. The person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. Every time I asked a question or voiced a concern, she would cut me off and put me on hold. When she returned, she would bark out a day and time a plumber could come out. It appeared she did not understand the fix would take more than a couple of hours because she kept insisting on scheduling the appointment at night (first at 6-9pm arrival time, then 9-Midnight arrival time.) The conservation ended with her raising her voice to me and barking the same arrival time over and over again. It was so upsetting I canceled the appointment. I'm surprised and disappointed that a business with an A rating on Angie's List would have a staff member who would act so unprofessional toward potential customers. The estimate to fix the pipe was around $1780.00. For that amount of money, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I contacted the Waterworks about my leaking water heater, and Sherry told me that she could schedule me that afternoon. I told her that I would turn off the power and drain the heater to save some time, thinking that maybe it was only an element. Later, another person called to let me know that Jeremy was on his way. Jeremy and Mick arrived about 15 minutes later. They seemed very professional and careful to cover their shoes before coming into the house. The heater was 15 years old, and rust and corrosion was visible when they removed the access panels. They said they could try replacing the element that appeared to be causing the leak, but they recommended replacing the heater. I told them I was interested in getting another Ruud, and they gave me several options regarding brands and size . I decided to down-size from a 65 to a 50-gallon heater and to have the Ruud installed. They returned later with the heater, dismantled and removed the old one and installed the new one quickly and efficiently . And they deducted $35.00 with the coupon on the Angie's List website.

Thank you for sharing about your recent experience with The Waterworks. I apologize that we were not able to provide you with service and not meeting your expectations. As you are aware, we schedule service within a four hour window. We do our best to provide service within the four hour window; however that is not always possible. It is difficult to predetermine the amount of time a plumbing/drain job will take. Unfortunately, the technicians were taking longer than expected on their current jobs the day your service was scheduled. A customer service representative called at 10:14am, on the date of your appointment, to let you know that the technician was running behind. We always provide customers with a phone call when the tech is one the way, allowing 30-40 minutes before his arrival. We provide this phone call so that our customers do not have to sit home and wait for the technician. On behalf of The Waterworks, I apologize and regret that we were not able to provide you with service. Sincerely, Ursula Anderson Customer Service Supervisor

The owner came to our home for the estimate and was a very nice guy. He gave us an estimate that was the same as the bill we received. His crew came over on the scheduled date and were great guys. They did their job thoroughly and did not appear to waste time or do anything else that would put me off. God willing, I will never need any mold removed again, but I would recommend them to anyone and call them again if I needed to.

We've used the Waterworks in the past, always with satisfactory results. I was prompted to finally write a review today after we received exceptional service from their technician Shawn. He arrived during the scheduled arrival window, even with a delay to pick up a part (as this was a follow up from an appointment on Saturday). He was friendly and didn't mind our either our pets or myself observing his work. Our water heater is in a fairly difficult place to access with overhead shelves, so he took extra steps to make sure everything was done properly, which meant cutting extra pipes and more labor for him. He also took extra time to make sure the tank was drained and we wouldn't have any smell in our water. We've always had good service from the Waterworks, and this service was great!

We used The Waterworks for a finished basement teardown after water damage many months earlier caused mold, mildew, and rot. First, the estimate was detailed, and I felt comfortable calling the office for extra information. There was always a quick response to my phone calls. Communication on their part was great! The Waterworks employees were very thorough in their cleaning and treatment of the fungus, mold, mildew, and water damage. Pretty much everything was ruined except the floor, but they did an excellent job of making sure the work was complete and the place was cleaned up. The entire project took a week, a bit longer than they anticipated, and there was an additional charge after it was completed, but the cost was still extremely reasonable considering what they had to deal with and the square footage (roughly 1000 sq ft, including a bedroom, a rec room, and a bathroom.)

I called because I have a drain problem, they sent an inside plumber after I waited four hours. He made a call and said they would send someone out tomorrow. I waited and no one showed up or called. I finally called. They send they would send someone out between 1 and 4. No one showed up. I called back. Then a supervisor came out and said what he thought. He said he would send out a quote. I called backed and they said they would put me on with the VP and after I waited for ten minutes. I spoke with someone who was not the VP. He asked what the problem was. He said he would send someone over right away; and never heard from them. I called another company.

After a failed attempt by A Mann's Plumbing to fix a sewer backup into our basement, I called Waterworks. The worker who arrived was CLEAN and took all kinds of precautions to keep the basement area as clean as possible, including laying down absorbent mats or towels which he provided. After snaking a camera down, he then proceeded to remove obstructions including tree roots which the previous plumber had assured me was NOT the problem. After another minor back-up in February, Waterworks returned very quickly to check their work and was able to remove a final blockage at no additional charge. Thank you for fabulous service!!
