Did a very good job on repairs. Technician made sure he explained the work that was being done and why it needed to be done. He was very helpful. The final amount we were billed was completely in line with the estimate we'd been given several weeks earlier. No surprise charges. Will use Waterworks again if ever in need of a plumber again.

We have a somewhat serious plumbing issue with water leaking from our upstairs shower into the living room ceiling below. I called our favorite plumber on Monday but they were booked for a week so I called Waterworks and they were able to come today (Friday). I took a half vacation day so we scheduled it for the afternoon ? they said they?d be out sometime between noon and 4pm. About 1:30pm they called and said they were running behind but would call when they were 30 minutes away. I still didn't hear from them so I called them back at 4:30 and they said they were still backed up but would call me when they had a plumber available. Still no word from them, so I called again at 6:30pm and got the same story ? they?re really busy and will call when they have someone available. Finally just before 9pm they called and asked more details about the work to be done, and said they still didn?t have anyone available but would send someone as soon as they could. At that point I told them to forget about it ? I?ve been at the house waiting since noon and wasn?t going to stay up while a plumber worked into the wee hours of the morning. The only reason I booked the appointment with Waterworks was because of their alleged availability. What?s the point of scheduling an appointment if they don?t keep the appointment? Cable TV companies are notoriously awful for scheduling appointments, but at least they show up eventually! This was horrible customer service, and poorly handled by them. I recommend steering clear of Waterworks unless you want to waste a day waiting for them to never show up. I was going to call their office on Monday to reschedule and tell them my expectation is a $400 credit off service for the half vacation day I wasted. I also thought about rescheduling to a time I wouldn?t be home, so they can waste their time when I?m not available. But instead I?m going to cancel the service request, and share with them the bad reviews I?m giving them on Angie?s List. My loyalty will stay with my favorite plumber ? they?re worth the wait.

Response from The Waterworks
Sir, Thank you for sharing about your about your recent experience with The Waterworks. I regret that your experience was poor and certainly uncharacteristic of The Waterworks’ customers. I appreciate your valuable time and am sorry that it was wasted. It is extremely difficult to pin point an exact time that a technician would arrive on a job site due to the unpredictable nature of the services we provide. As a result, at the time of scheduling service a customer service representative will inform the customer that the requested time frame for service is just that, a request. However, the dispatchers do their best to honor such requests. Once the technician is available to go to the job site a dispatcher calls the customer, after speaking with the customer the technician would arrive about 30 – 40 minutes later. We provide this phone call so that our customers do not have to waster their valuable time. There is no need to wait at home or leave work early; we let our customers know exactly when the technician is on his way. The director of customer service has placed several calls to you at the phone number provided to speak with you and resolve your concerns; unfortunately none of those calls were returned.

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU OR YOUR FAMILY OR YOUR TIME. I scheduled an appointment 4/8/2015 and was told the technician would come after 2 PM. I called for an update at 6:30 PM. It was revealed to me then the 2nd shift's window started at 2PM and they could come before 8 PM. I never had such a situation before but I waited patiently until 8 PM. No one called with any update so I was made to waste an entire afternoon and evening. I called to rescheduled for an appointment 4/10/205. I was given the 8 AM to noon window. At 11:50 I called for an update. I was told all technicians were busy and they could call me at some point in the day. I asked what happened to any priority for me given I was brushed off earlier in the week? I got the same company response that no technicians were free. Well, why would you schedule them or why wouldn't you give a courtesy call to give a customer an update or option for a better time? I would have no confidence in this company being able to perform the work since they are incompetent in keeping appointment times and managing their time. I expect if I scheduled work with them, I'd have no idea what do of they week they might be free, what time they would start, etc. I normally write glowing reviews for well deserved praise. I won't apologize for this one as it's justly deserved. I have read about reviewers who don't have the work done and have difficulty getting someone to return phone calls. Ok, I get it now- unfortunately- and will take those comments to mind better prospectively. k.
Description of Work: I contacted this company to obtain a bid for remodeling of several bathrooms and changing out many faucet and toilet connections. I estimate it was probably $2,000 to $3,000 in work.

Another great company. Easy to make an appointment, they give you a 30 minute notice before they come. Very professional. They put booties on their feet when they come into your home, so that they don't bring the dirt in. They do an excellent job. They don't goof off, they are just very professional and do a good job.

Jim the plumber was very good about providing information and suggestions and only fixed what was considered necessary to improve function - and gave me some tips on how to resolve other much smaller issues (slow draining sink for example- he showed me how to open the pop-up valve so that the inside could be cleaned periodically. He did the one sink for me which was perfect after ) I paid approx. $150 for 1.5 hrs of labor and approx $45 for parts. Although it seems a little expensive - I felt it was worth it to have someone come out so quick, get the job done and did not seem to want to over-sell, which I always worry about. He was polite and professional. Response time was very good- I called and was able to have someone come out the very next morning. I forgot to give him my Angie's List coupon when he was writing up the bill but as soon as I handed it over he applied the discount and was very nice about it. I will call them again if anything else comes up as I feel comfortable having their tech in my home.
Description of Work: I had several questions re drain cleaning and replacing a shower head, toilet tank filling too slow etc. after inspection- 2 toilet fill valves replaced which fixed the issues with the toilets.

We had a plumbing problem and we used our regular plumbers but they recommended that we Water Works -whom they had found on Angie's List and they did a great job. They did a beautiful job. It took them a day and a half- they had a whole crew out there. They had to take out part of the deck to excavate -put a sleeve in the wall and they had a restoration crew that is part of the company that repaired the deck. It has been perfect- they did a tremendous job and were very professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do and did it quickly once they got us on schedule.

They unclogged the drain and sent me a bill for more than 4 times what I paid before. I called the Water Works to ask why the bill was so high and that they should have gotten my authorization before assuming they could make expensive decisions like that on my behalf and for their benefit. They claimed that my on site property manager authorized the work, but acknowledged that an expense like this should have gone through the owner and they also had no record of my giving this part time person any authority. My manager told me that he had not discussed the scope of work or price and had he known the price he would never have authorized it. That said to be fair I proposed to cover Water Works' actual costs since they did work, but that we would have an understanding that next time they would discuss prices with me before doing work. They agreed, but then would not send me any back-up to show all of the supposed expenses they paid. Instead they changed their mind and demanded approximately $2,600 with no documentation. I again said, just send me the actual costs and I will pay it. Instead they referred the debt to a collection agency who is now harassing me. I find it deplorable that a customer who is willing to work something out over a mistake the customer did not make so the vendor will not lose money is put into a situation like this. I called the collection agency and asked if they had any written authorization from me that Water Works provided and they said no, yet they have threatened that I will hear from lawyers and they will call my family and friends over this. Very classy Water Works. Do yourself a favor and keep away from The Water Works.
Description of Work: We had them come out to give an estimate to repair a clogged sewer line which they had unclogged previously and I paid extra to have the line inspected with a camera the first time. The first time they unclogged the sewer it was less than $1,000 so i was surprised when they said that the problem was in the same area and would take care of it. They did do work without any discussion of price or authorization from me since I am an out of state owner.

Called for suboptimal toilet performance after moving into new house. Drains were found to be fine with problem in the very old toilets. Replacement recommended. Mick recommended brands/models available at Home Depot. I decided to replace a pedestal sink as well as it had a cosmetic crack. I picked out and paid for new fixtures and Mick picked them up later that week for installation that fit My schedule (Home Depot near the waterworks shop - Which was great as I have a very small car). Everything installed and working great. Old fixtures taken away for disposal. Everything left neat and clean.

We just got an invoice and I am probably going to call them to dispute a couple of things because there are so many line items. It looks like they removed my carpeting three times. They actually did a pretty good job, but it looks to me like they charged us extra like they said they vacuumed the water out of the carpet, but they did not do that. They did leave the fans here longer because it was over the weekend and they would not come out again on a Sunday. So, the fans were here an extra day. When they came and took them out, they actually treated the basement too to prevent mold. They have a special chemical they spray on everything to prevent any mold growth. I guess the services were pretty good, but I guess we are not through debating the price with them. I would use them again in the future if my insurance was paying.
Description of Work: We had a wet basement and we had to call a plumber and we had to call a mitigation company to take out the wet carpet and dry things out. Water Works was the company that did the cleanup. They said they vacuumed up the water, took out the wet carpet and the wet pad and hauled it away, but they did not actually vacuumed any water up. We did that, my wife and friends. They did cut up the carpeting and hauled it away. They took the baseboard off and they put about twelve giant fans in there and with dehumidifier and dried it up.

I've used Waterworks in the past and have good experiences. I needed to have some whole-house water filters installed and an estimate done for a water heater, so I scheduled an appointment for an 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. block on Thursday, March 12. They did not show up during the four-hour block and when I called at 12:30 p.m., they had no estimate of when someone would get there. Because I had missed an entire morning of work waiting for them, I had to cancel and then specifically rescheduled the work for Wednesday, March 18. It was specified that we would be the first appointment of the morning. On March 18, I had a tree trimming company come and finish taking down a tree and trimming other trees at the exact time they said-9:00 a.m., but by 10:30 a.m., the tree company had already finished and when I called Waterworks, they still didn't have any ETA and explained that "the first call of the day" didn't necessarily mean at 8:00 a.m. because different workers start at different times of the day for them. Hilarious! The lady on the phone was very nice, but missing two days of work waiting for people to come when they promised they'd come is not a good working model. So goodbye Waterworks. You're off my list unless you want to pay me the work salary I lost for the two days I spent waiting for you. Think about it.

Water Heater Gas Leak My experience working with Daren, technician from Water Works, was extremely knowledgeable and productive. I had several problems, although the primary problem was a gas leak from the water heater. Daren was quick to find the leak and tighten three bolts to stop it. He said it had probably been like that since the heater was installed 6yrs ago! Although not life threatening, it was good to know the leak was repaired. Toilet Fill Valve Adjustment Water heater remedied, I asked him if he would adjust a new fill valve that I installed a couple of weeks ago, that wasn't flushing properly. He looked at it and explained how to adjust the levels - tank and bowl (the part of the instructions I didn't really follow completely). He said it was easy to adjust (that's why I called him) and proceeded to do so, AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! I said "thank you". . . . Sump Pump Over Pumping Then he mentioned that the sump pump was running pretty much continuously. I said it mainly does this during the Spring thaw (like now). He said that it was due to it pumping water right down next to the foundation and/or the drain pipe could be frozen or blocked, causing it to"recycle" right back into the sump pump well. Daren removed the outside pipe plug and used a PVC elbow joint and a couple of PVC, 8ft. straight pipes, (that I had in my garage), to redirect the water being pumped out into the backyard, Daren said "NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE". After pumping over the last 3 days frequently, it stopped pumping within 30 minutes after Daren left! It caught up that quickly with the well filling up! SUMMARY No more gas leaks, toilet adjusted and quiet, sump pump pumping, and I am a 100% satisfied customer. Daren was very courteous, knowledgable and polite. He explained everything he was doing, answered all of my questions and then some, and suggested other improvements I could make, including replacing toilets which were manufactured in 1987, and adding a backup pump. I have used waterworks before and I will use them again, and I'll ask for Daren! Thanks, WW!

Everyone at Waterworks did a fantastic job. I will definitely call them the next time I have a plumbing issue. Wednesday afternoon I called Waterworks and spoke with Beverley. She was very helpful. I appreciated Beverley explaining the overtime rate and when the next non-overtime appointments were available. Since this was not urgent, we scheduled service for Friday. First thing Friday morning a different service rep (I do not remember her name) called to see if it was a good time to send someone. I told her it was, and she said that she would have Dan come out. Dan called me while he was on the way and I told him what was happening. He gave three possible problems and explained why he believed one was most likely, and how he planned to fix it. When he got on site he quickly determined that it was actually something else - the seal in the old hot water shutoff valve under the sink was crumbling. He installed new hot and cold shutoffs and was able to clean the rubber particles out of the faucet and get it working great. He was very knowleadgeable and friendly, and even gave us some maintenance tips. No one wants to have plumbing issues, but next time I do I will not hesitate to call Waterworks.

We discovered water in the basement yesterday morning. We called The Waterworks and they were able to get a service call scheduled for the next day. Matt came out promptly in the morning. He noted that our sump pump was old and not the best solution for our house and recommended a replacement. He was friendly, polite, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. We appreciate the timeliness of the response, as we were worried about more water with the melting snow. I would not hesitate to use The Waterworks again.
