I had another company come out and it was only the drain clogged, I have PVC pipes and they said they usually do not leak
Description of Work: first technician in a hurry as it was end of day and he told me minimum diagnostic fee and service call fee and did not want to unclog drain but book a future appointment for cutting out drywall to look for source of leak. Asked to start with drain and unclog it and he said he did not have anything to do that with which surprised me. I gave him a "zipit' and he used it to unclog drain hair/debris. Lots of additional work and charges suggested very disappointed. Then scheduled another technician to cut drywall insisting that there could still be a leak in those pipes.

On Memorial Day, water covered the floor in the Master Bath. We saw water coming from under the toilet (we were not sure if the leak was from the tank or from the inflow valve). We called another "Emergency Plumber" BUT after an hour waiting for a return phone call, we called Water Works. Within 25 minutes, the tech (Chris) was in our home. He figured out the leak was from the flow valve inside the toilet tank. 15 minutes later, the leak was fixed. While the cost was high because of the holiday, the result was well worth it !

I had water appearing under a wall in an area adjoining both a laundry and bathroom. I had two other Angie's Listed plumbers out and they both told me to get a contractor to remove the bathroom vanity and about 20 square feet of tile from my floor and drywall and they would be back to locate/repair the leak. I then called The Waterworks. Waterworks set an appointment for the following day (Saturday). Two plumbers arrived on time. I was very impressed with the thorough way they set about eliminating various easily accessed sources by checking the crawl space, toilet, washing machine and sink connections before cutting into walls. Then they made only small cuts into which a camera was inserted. After 3 hours the source was not found but appeared to be related to the washing machine. The Waterworks staff asked me to run several loads of laundry on Sunday and told me he would call at 1:00 p.m. when he returned to work on Monday and then come back after the additional water had gone through the pipe. He called as promised and returned to my home about an hour later. The leak was in a difficult spot and they did have to remove the vanity 2 floor tiles. The problem was related to something an earlier contractor had done wrong. The repairs were made by The Waterworks within a few hours of locating the broken pipe. I very much appreciate the prompt response, friendly staff (all 3 plumbers involved were great!), comprehensive service, use of cameras instead of chopping up walls, clean work-site. Thanks!

The provider came out as part of our home warranty. I can't remember the exact date, except to say it was the summer of 2014. We had to pay them $100, but after much discussion with our home warranty, we were given another plumber to complete the work. We were satisfied with the other plumber, but not this one.

My wife and I have used Waterworks for several small plumbing jobs. Specifically because my wife said their customer service on these jobs was "excellent" -- they'd often call to follow up on work performed -- she wanted to give them the opportunity to bid on a much bigger job: waterproofing our basement. We guessed this project was going to cost us roughly $10,000 (hopefully less!). To make a long story short, they never showed up for the first scheduled meeting (after my wife stayed home from work to meet them). When we called, they weren't able to schedule an appointment for at least another week, which was very annoying. My wife agreed to take off work again and again they didn't come; this time their recommendation was that she take the measurements herself and pass them on. (My wife was 6 months pregnant at the time, by the way.) At this point I was pretty upset -- and I wasn't even the one taking off work -- and fired off any angry email or two. Senior management at Waterworks got involved and was apologetic. They tried to remedy the situation quickly and professionally. I was still upset, but I could see they were putting in the effort to make up for their mistakes. Given one last chance, Waterworks came to our house and surveyed our basement. They have us a quote of under $5,000, which was far cheaper than the other quotes we had received (between $8K and $12K). It was such a good price I thought either we were getting a discount to make up for the previous experience, or that something was fishy. Turns out there's a reason the price was too good to be true. It was too good to be true. Turns out Waterworks doesn't even waterproof basements! They emailed a few days later saying there had been a mistake and that they gave us a quote for a service they did not provide. I wasn't even angry anymore. I laughed. Waterworks customer service had gone from bad to worse to perhaps a little better to downright comically bad. Anyway, it's ironic to think this all started because my wife was so fond of their customer service. Maybe we'll still use them for routine plumbing jobs. I don't know. For anything more substabtial, I would not trust Waterworks.

On 5/6 called at 4:40 to say they would be there in half hour and at 5:50 they show up. Worked on the clogged drain for 45 minutes said it was open with no other problems. Charged us $175.00 and then left. After being out of town 5/8 - 5/10 on 5/11 the drain clogged again. That's only basically 72 hours of use Called back to see if the work was guaranteed and told "no" and if we wanted them to come out and unclog it we were told if they came tonight it (5/11) it would be $100 service call because it was considered overtime PLUS the time to unclog the drain. This is to fix work that was already "fixed" 5 days ago. I am not a happy customer I will not refer this vendor and will not be calling them back for any future work.

The work was completed timely. The plumber (Aaron) was professional and courteous. He had done work for me before that was much more difficult. I was very pleased with the work. The price seemed very high! Gave a "C" on the price. $246 with the Angieslist $35 coupon would have made it almost $280 and it did not seem fair. This work was required as part of a real estate remedy. I should have gotten other quotes even though I was comfortable using this company.

I was in New Orleans (for the Sugar Bowl) when my tenant informed me they had a plumbing problem. I got on Angie's List to find a plumber ... called Waterworks ... and they promptly appeared at the site to take care of the issue. Since my tenant did not have the discount coupon, the plumber recommended I call the office to get my bill adjusted. Chris Tilton went the extra mile and ensured that my coupon was honored.

This review is long overdue. The work was completed in March 2015 and I?m finally getting to my first ever Angie?s list review. Living in UA you know the risk of old galvanized pipes and this was a case of an faulty repair from who knows when giving out and bursting the water supply line. We did not know exactly where the burst occurred adding to the difficulty. The break minimally impacted our water pressure at first and further declined over the next few days. So I needed someone who had the ability to perform the work timely. I called out 3 contractors (who were on the state?s approved excavator list) and Waterworks was by far the most professional and responsive. The end result required Waterworks to bore from the city?s line to my water meter tie in (all below the frost line) while navigating sidewalks/driveways/retaining walls. The work was completed in one day and water was restored. While the work was not cheap, it was in line with what another contractor provided to me. The third wanted to tear up the whole front yard and reclaim the sidewalk after the dig. This is an option if you don?t mind reclaiming the land or have minimal structures in the way. I?ll quit boring with the details, end story is Waterworks was great so much that I?m actually writing a review. Ask for Scott

I had them come out on overtime. It was determined the water heater needed to be replaced. That was in November now it is May and I turn on the ac the pipes that carry the water from the ac were not replaced properly. The pipes were rerouted with the new water heater. They refuse to come out and fix this because it is 90 day labor guarantee. There was no way I could have known this wasn't done correctly until the air was turned on. How could I have the foresight that I should check the ac when the water heater was replaced.

Originally, this company was fantastic and responsive. I finally settled on a plumber after some bad ones. But the last year has been horrible with them. They were to put in a gas line to my new grill, and the guy finally showed up in the evening after I waited around all day. He told me the company focuses on all their commercial contracts first, putting us in homes last. Then he couldn't do the work that day, so I had to wait a couple more weeks to get it done. I felt the 1,000 dollar cost was a bit much. Then I recently hired them to do my back flow testing. They said they would come out on Friday and make an exception. This time they didn't show up or even call. By the way, I wrote customer service on-line after the first issue, and I didn't get a response.

The appointment was made and they came next day on time as promised. They were very professional in explaining what they were going to do. They then quoted us a price and how long it would take to complete the job. The price quoted was competitive with what we had shopped around for. We were able to use an Angie's List Deal to help with the cost which was a bonus. The job was completed as promised at the price quoted and they cleaned up and mess that was made. We could not tell they had even been in any of the bathrooms!! We will definitely use The Waterworks again.

Pros - The work was good. The tech was polite and careful and did not mind explaning his work in detail before started. Found the issue and took into consideration of doing the work with minimal disturbance to the landscape. Flexible to accommodate last minute decision to replace sump pump. Cons - missed the time window for the first appointment by more than an hour. Did not clean up the work area inside the house after work. Did not put the basement window plastic cover back on after work. Hence the B for professionalism. It does not fit the profile of the tech. I believe he was in a hurry to leave for his next job and it was getting late (around 7:30 pm). Not deal breakers considering the fact of the good work he did. Will call them again if needed in the future.

First, I have used Waterworks previously, with no issues. When I called on Saturday, the gentleman on the phone stated they were in 'overtime', and that meant they had to charge a $100 upfront fee just to come out and provide an estimate. I verified with him that this fee could be applied to work completed, and he agreed. He further stated this just protects them from coming out on a Saturday and not being compensated somehow. I was fine with that, since I had a leak in the spigot, so I knew I would be getting at least $100 worth of services. Other points of interest, just to keep this short - I was charged an 'overtime rate' of $147 per hour, which was not mentioned on the phone (and the repairman didn't even know he was on overtime until I mentioned it to him), the repairman stated he was started work at 1:40pm, when we wasn't even on the property at 1:44pm when I checked my phone, and he left a slight mess of solder splatter on the basement floor, but in general, I was pleased with the work completed. However, I was pretty upset with the fees, so I called the office before the repairman even got to his vehicle, and the lady who answered stated the $100 was not applicable towards work completed, and she would have a manager call me by Monday or Tuesday. It is now Wednesday with no call. Overall, I feel like I was duped by the hidden fees, the mysterious time arrival, and misinformation on the phone. And for that, I will be seeking future plumbing services elsewhere.

Ma’am, Thank you for sharing about your recent experience with The Waterworks. I am disappointed that your last encounter with us was not to your satisfaction. There was obvious confusion and miscommunication with respect to the information you received. When our service schedule is full and or service is requested outside of normal business hours, there is a minimum call out cost of $100. As you mentioned in your review, this charge is to have the technician come to your home. Once onsite, the technician will provide you with the cost for service. If you accept the price, the technician is prepared to provide you with service. If you do not accept the cost for service, the technician will be on his way and you are still responsible for the minimum call out fee. Your complaint was received and is in the process of being reviewed by management. I assure you that you will be contacted the Director of Customer Service this week. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I apologize that you have not been contacted in a timely manner to discuss your concerns. Sincerely, Ursula Anderson Customer Service Supervisor

My experience was excellent as described below. The water line broke and the city turned off the water. The estimator for Waterworks was able to meet with me the very next day and provided the estimate within 24 hours. He gave me several options such as replacing the entire line to replacing just the part of the line found to be defective. I opted to replace the entire line. We were able to get on the schedule for the following Tuesday and even though it was raining that day the crew worked in the rain (standing in a mud pit) near the junction of my line and the city line. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and finished the job near the end of the day. They waited for the inspector to arrive so that the water could be turned on again. I was impressed with the professionalism of the estimator, the competence and diligence of the crew and greatly appreciated the feeling that their highest priority was to re-establish water to my house.
Description of Work: Replaced the entire water line from the house to the hook up with the city line. The line was replaced by pulling the new line (a newer better material) through the old line which reduced the amount of digging required.

Good Afternoon, Thank you for sharing about your recent experience with The Waterworks. I apologize that your expectations were not met. The Waterworks provides price information once the technician has had the opportunity to view the job specifics. We provide this visual estimate at no cost or obligation to our customers. Over the years, our customers have let us know that they would rather receive an accurate quote. It is not possible to provide accurate pricing over the telephone, which is why we will come to home and provide you with a free visual estimate. If you accept the estimate, the technician is prepared to provide you with service. If you decline the cost for service, the technician will be on his way at no charge to you. I am disappointed that you did not receive this information and for any attitude that you perceived. Sincerely, Ursula Anderson Customer Service Supervisor

This entire experience went very well. I found this company on Angie's list and have used them before. I like being able to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Paul arrived within the window of time I was given, and I was also called a half hour before he arrived to let me know when he would be there. Paul performed the work and now we no longer have a drip of water coming into the basement. I highly recommend this company. Paul is an expert plumber with over 30 years' experience. I have had other plumbers come out from their company and they, too, were great.
Description of Work: I called Waterworks last week to set up the appointment for work today. Paul, an experienced and wise plumber, found the leak in the copper pipes that extend down from the kitchen sink area. It was not easy to find the leak, but once it was found, he replace a large section of pipe.
