Description of Work: They did plumbing service for us. They did a plumbing inspection for us and had to make some repairs to it. They were very friendly.

Description of Work: We woke up on Saturday morning to find that our water heater had leaked. The company sent a repair man who attempted to take advantage of the situation. He attempted to charge us $3500 to replace a water heater. That is an absurd price even for a Saturday emergency appointment. The technician went further and attempted to charge us an additional $147 because he believed we wasted his time by deciding to wait until Monday to have the repairs done and avoid the overtime and emergency costs associated with the weekend repair. When I refused to pay the additional $147 and insisted that we called the waterworks office he quickly altered the invoice and walked out of my house slamming the door behind him. I reported this negative encounter to their office on Tuesday morning and was told that a gentleman by the name of Isaiah would be in touch with me as they were deeply concerned. It is now one week later and I have still not received a return call from anyone at all from this company. They are a rip off and they take advantage of working people who need help. Stay clear of these predators!

Description of Work: The pipe under the kitchen sink became loose and water was spilling from the pipe. The technician tightened it up and everything is working great!!I have had service from Waterworks before and am ALWAYS satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: Waterworks is pricey, but I would not have trusted anyone else to do the needed plumbing upgrades for our kitchen and bath remodeling. Our house was built in 1953, and the work was substantial to bring all up to UA code. Their work is top notch.

Description of Work: Replaced waterline to house--in the middle of winter--with temperatures around zero! They are excellent. Manager (Don) very nice, helpful, goes the extra mile to contact you and assure you that all will be fine. All the workers were very nice, respectful, knowledgeable. They have a customer for life (we have an old house in Grandview that constantly needs work). I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants an excellent job with professional people.

Description of Work: They did several small plumbing tasks, e.g., replacing filters, removing clogs. The quality was good, but their very rigid and opaque pricing system (by task) was annoying.

Description of Work: Found and fixed two natural gas line leaks in the utility room; replaced a broken rod on a sink drain actuator.

Description of Work: A technician arrived and diagnosed the problem every professionally, giving a free estimate. It required me to get a new faucet, and then a return visit. I purchased the faucet but my neighbor was having construction work done by an outfit that had done work for me, and they were able to install the faucet immediately and at half the estimated price. I took advantage of the situation. I telephoned Water Works and offered to pay for the initial estimate, but they said it was not necessary. Very nice of them.

Description of Work: The gas company had shut off our gas due to a gas leak. Waterworks came out within a few hours and had it fixed a couple hours later. Very happy with the responsiveness.

Description of Work: Diagnosed and replaced a shower unit that was 15 years old and had a problem with low pressure. Technician went through options, including trying to search for a filter for a unit that is no longer manufactured, and ultimately I decided to replace a dated shower unit. Service was fantastic, tech even fixed a few things (at no cost) that were not on the original work order because he was already there and noticed the problem.

Description of Work: Replaced the tub spout. Advised me that I could do this myself for far cheaper, if I felt handy enough. I didn't feel confident doing it, so I played him to.

Description of Work: Our water heater pilot went out and would not light. Waterworks send a tech out at 8 pm after I called at 4 pm. He looked at the water heater and suggested that the most likely problem was the thermocouple (I already knew this). He wanted over $300 to replace a part that costs about $25 and would take about 15 min. This was in addition to the $100 service call fee. My water heater is 12 years old, and probably should be replaced. He quoted a replacement cost of around $1,500 for a new unit, when I can get a similar model at Lowe's for $500, all the while talking about some new standards that were being put in place on April 15th. I talked to my HVAC guy, and he told me a water heater install (with no problems encountered) should be a couple of hundred dollars. I've used Waterworks in the past, but after this experience, I won't use them in the future.
