$70 initial fee is not for anything but them to drive to your door. $432 is what I was quoted for diagnosis after they arrived. Be aware of their business plan before you call this company.

This is the 2nd time I have used Safe Electric and both times I have used them have been great experiences. I had 3 new fixtures installed plus a new circuit run to be used for a new freezer in our finished basement. Jon & Eric were the two electricians that were sent to my home. They worked efficiently and quickly, but did outstanding work. Even though our basement had a finished ceiling, they were able to run a wire through with minimal disruption to the finished ceiling. I had concerns about the alignment of the lights on the fixture (this was a manufacturing defect and nothing to do with their installation) and they obliged me by improving the light alignment. They also cleaned up after they were completed and disposed of the old light fixtures and packaging materials for the new fixtures. Their work was excellent. The only negative aspect was the price which seemed very high to me. The cost for installation of the 3 light fixtures was $462 and the new circuit was $903.

Great! They were able to schedule in four days. They were on time. Very quick and efficient. They cleaned up after their work. I felt like they were expensive but I was able to use a coupon from their website.

Craig and Matt are my go to electricians. I can always rely on them to do a perfect job every time. And they're worth it.

Craig Desrosiers with Safe Electric did fantastic work for me right before Christmas. I liked how he arrived on the dot on time. I was so pleased with his work in fact, that I hired Craig a second time today, 12/27 for an additional several hours to install more Lutron Caseta radio dimmer switches for our home and landscape lighting control, which I love. He also installed new duplex outlets that were expertly cut and fished with no holes for me to patch and paint -what a relief and huge convenience to me. This was a very challenging job, especially since they were undoing improperly completed work previously done by a less experienced and unreliable electrician that I foolishly hired as side work (don't ever do that like I did a month ago, because you do NOT get what you think you paid for). Spend the money, hire a recommended licensed, experienced, and honest electrician. He tirelessly trouble shot and traced extensive track lighting fixtures throughout our mid century modern home. It helped to have all items purchased and ready for him to install. The few things I didn't have, he easily had ready to install from his work van. He was definitely prepared. Craig didn't cut any corners, he charged me a fair hourly rate, and most important: everything was done this time perfectly and safely. I feel strongly that when resale time should ever come around in the future years from now, I won't have any further issues or questions from a buyer's pesky home inspector, thanks to his job done right. 'Wish I'd called him first! I now have his cell number saved in my phone, and will gladly pass it on to anyone who asks me in passing if I know of a good electrician I can recommend. Call Craig first! He's the Lutron master pro, and he's been a licensed electrician for over 30 years...and his experience and professionalism shines bright and safe in my home, that's for sure.

Proposal was not clear. I had to review the scope of the job several times with Craig. Unfortunately, after the first day, I was told there would be additional charges for work he had performed that day. We negotiated to A mutually agreed compromise. Due to illness, there were several starts and stops along the way. Finally finished a few days later than expected. I was left with a big cleanup job in the basement. They swept, but not thoroughly and didn't cover a thing as they had promised. I would use them again but would be very clear on what I expected as a result and pricing

The Safe Electric guys are great. Craig took the time to explain what needed to be done and why and how they would do it. Although they had to diagnose and repair unexpected wiring issues, they did not charge me any more than the original estimate, and they worked over the weekend to finish the job on time.

Ask for Craig. His official title is VP of Operations, but I think he needs a new job title: Miracle Worker. We had a highly-rated provider in this field spend two hours with the chandelier, only to tell us the wiring was bad and we'd have to run a new, external wire along the ceiling and wall. It took Craig twenty minutes to properly diagnose the problem--and fix it! We've had lots of people look at the bathroom fixture and no one could figure out how the cover came off. Craig figured it out. We're going to be taking the fixture to our new location and we're going to have Craig install it. He's very pleasant to work with.

Excellent. We had other projects we wanted done, but they explained to us that installation of these fixtures (and a new outlet) would involved drywall being cut and they wanted us to know this before starting. We decided this wasn't worth doing. They arrived for the estimate a few minutes early, and arrived the day to work right on time. Matt did the installation, and he was professional, courteous, neat and clean. He was only there 1/2 a day.

Matt is our go-to guy on electrical issues. On this most recent issue, he was able to get us in and do the work within a few days, even though he was almost totally booked with other jobs. Previously, he updated some wiring in our attic. He was a referral from our real-estate agent, and has done good work for us.

Overall very happy and will use them again - maybe.(; I originally hired them for the electrical part of my new kitchen and to install a new - upgraded electrical panel. I added so many additional small jobs during the process that I may never have to hire them again - but I would if I needed to. We have an old ranch (60ish years old) and our electrical was a mess. I kept finding things to fix/upgrade/replace improve every time Craig was here so now we don't need any more electrical work. I felt very comfortable allowing them to work in my home unsupervised.

These guys were great (Craig Desrosiers and his amenable sidekick Joe). They showed up on-time, knocked the job out expertly, gave me advice on how to improve other items (which I'd asked about), and were just generally professional, congenial, and fast. Highly recommend, will definitely call for next project.

Last night, the recessed light in our breakfast room began to work only intermittently. I found Matt Wehrle on Angie's List, noted the number of positive reviews, so e-mailed him. Matt called back within the hour, we established a time to meet at the house, and he diagnosed the problem and made the repair - all of this took less than three hours from my initial e-mail to Matt's completion of the job. I'd certainly use Matt's services again - his promptness in responding and in repairing the problem gets an A+!

They were incredibly prompt. The day I called for an estimate Craig Desrosiers came out and asked exactly what I wanted done and he gave me the cost. At the time I had a ceiling fixture for two fluorescent bulbs open because I had been unable to close it. He spent some time adjusting the fixture and was able to close the cover. He and a helper came the following Tuesday and put in all the outlets I requested. In addition they did extra things: I had been trying to replace the fluorescent bulbs in another basement ceiling fixture and was having trouble getting the old bulbs out. They did the changeover and closed it up. They also moved an existing wall outlet to a new location. When they left they had picked up every scrap of stripped insulation and they took along my old fluorescent bulbs for recycling.

A+ highly recommend. Craig Desrosiers responded quickly to the email I'd sent via Angie's, came out to evaluate/quote next day and scheduled the job 2 days later. Day-of, they were already there when I arrived, dealt expertly with antiquated wiring, did a great job with humor and cleanliness. Will definitely use again and have already recommended to other homeowner friends of mine.

I was able to get the estimate quickly, and Matt was able to schedule the job right away. The workers were on time, and understood what needed to be done. They worked efficiently, and I am very happy with the results. I have already gotten another estimate from Matt for another job.

This company was very responsive and professional. I called needing an emergency installation of an electrical line and box for a gas cooktop so that the cooktop could be connected. This was on a Tuesday evening and the line and box were installed the next morning. Matt Wehrie called to confirm the time of arrival that morning which was met. The charges for this service were quite reasonable. The installers were pleasant and professional. I would use this company any time that I have need of an electrician.

Matt was able to schedule the work quickly, and he gave me the most in-depth estimate of the providers we met. I know nothing about electricity, so there isn't much I can say about the quality of the work other than everything seems to be functioning properly.

We purchased a late 1930?s home in Clintonville in late December, 2011. One of the recommendations of the home inspector that we hired was that we switch out the old Federal Pacific electric panel in the basement. Matt Wehrle was recommended by a friend-of-a-friend who was very impressed with the work that he had done for her in her Clintonville home. When I had heard that he was a local family man, we were immediately interested because we like to hire local folks who have homes of their own in the area and who also have families to feed. I called Matt on Tuesday (9/17) and arranged to meet him at my house the next day (Wednesday). I was immediately impressed with his background, professionalism, and particularly his knowledge as he informed that the Federal Pacific electric panels were known notoriously to be fire hazards! (House inspector never mentioned that part!) His estimate was pretty much in line with the other estimates I had been given prior to our meeting so, all things considered, I hired him on the spot. When I asked him how soon he could start, I was surprised when he said ?how?s Monday morning sound??.say 8:30?9:00?? ?.and so the date was set! They (Matt and his co-worker, Craig) arrived a head of time and got started promptly, just as soon as they walked in the door. I left a few times to go out and run some errands and when I returned, they were working just as consistently as when I had left them. They were both extremely polite and courteous and I rather enjoyed their company. Being somewhat of a geek myself, I asked numerous questions about what they were doing and how they were doing it?and they were both quite willing to take the time to explain. I was particularly interested in Craig?s profound knowledge of the history of electrical wiring; how it used to be in early years versus how it?s done today. On separate occasions, I took them each through the house to discuss other projects for which I would need the benefit of their expertise. Both gentlemen were a delight and the job they did was quite spectacular. They upgraded me to a 200 AMP service panel, installed a new metering system outside, and installed a whole-house surge protector?.all in about 5 hours. They cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. It?s hard to find folks (you trust) who are willing to work hard to produce a GOOD PRODUCT. We can now scratch one more task off of our very long list! I was very impressed with Matt Wehrle Electric and I will certainly use them again for future projects. I now have Matt?s number on my speed dial. J

We were in a time crunch and Matt made it work for us. When I am dealing with Matt Wehrle Electric , I know that I can get excellent work that will not come back to haunt us later, that he is competitively priced, and that he will be professional and punctual with my clients. He cares about his reputation and he works hard to protect it. I am a real estate agent and it is very important to know that when I call a vendor, I will not be embarassed by my recommendation in the eyes of the buyer, the seller, or the other agents involved. Matt never has let me down.

I called Matt on the recommendation of my realtor, to investigate some overhead lighting that had never worked during the life of my house. I also had some other minor issues - like the garbage disposal switch that never had a cover, and no standard cover would fit (small space under the sink). Matt answered the phone himself and I booked him for Friday AM at 9. He was prompt and very friendly, cheerful and intelligent. He did a lot of work to investigate the nonfunctional lighting - the upshot was that I may need to have wires fished up the wall and I want to think about having that done. If I decide to have it done, I will hire Matt to do it. In the course of investigating the issue with the overhead lighting, a safety hazard was found - a previous electrician had connected the neutral wire to the ground screw. Matt explained clearly why that was dangerous and he installed a ground wire. I suggested that he investigate the other outlets that had been updated by that same person, and found that one outlet was not grounded at all. He switched that out for a 2-prong outlet; all the other outlets checked out OK (they were grounded properly). He also created a cover for the garbage disposal switch by sawing down a standard switchplate. He spent about 2 hours here and I feel very comfortable with his thoroughness and honesty, and the quality of his work. I was struck by a couple of endearing things - one was that he took a call from his mom (no one should ignore Mom call) - he did not talk long with her while he worked and politely told her he'd call her back - and the other was that when I specified a company that had done some electricial work in the house in the past (NOT the person who put in the unsafe outlet), he spoke well of them. I appreciate the integrity of someone who doesn't malign his competitors. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt and will hire him again if I need electrical work done!
