Work was scheduled for June 2011, they called and told us the windows were ready 3 weeks after order was placed not the 6 weeks we were originally told Workers were very professional. Work was done in one day although we were told it would take 2 days to finish the work. Workers left the house and property in very good shape, we couldn't even tell they had been there (except for the new windows). The price was very reasonable considering half of the windows installed were wood.

We had used his service to install a couple of doors before and we were pretty happy with him. There was some problem with one of the doors from the manufacturer and they came out and repaired it, you could not even tell there was a problem, so we decided to go with him again for the windows. I would use their service in the future too.

I visited the Rosati showroom because I was interested in having my basement remodeled. Rosati Windows had replaced my windows about 7-8 years ago and had done an excellent job. I was so impressed with the service I received that I decided to talk to them about the basement remodelling project. I was directed to their basement remodelling guy and we set up a home visit appointment. He arrived about 45 minutes late, claiming car trouble. I had no reason to doubt the explanation and so we went and looked at the basement. He took measurements, discuusing some options of what could be done. He said that he'd have something (plans, options, etc) to show me in about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks and he'd call to schedule a visit. I waited 3 weeks and then I contacted him. He claimed to have just received something back from the architect and asked when we could meet. We set up an appointment for the following Thursday, About 45 minutes before the appointment, he called to say he was running late. He wasn't sure how long it was going to take, but he'd call me as soon as he was free. It's now Monday morning and I still haven't received that phone call. It appears that he's not very interested in doing the basement remodelling job. I can only assume that by being nonresponsive, he's hoping I'll take my business elsewhere. If he wasn't interested in the job, I would have preferred for him to say so up front. I would not have been offended and I wouldn't have wasted a month's time getting this project started. This was totally unprofessional and quite frankly I was shocked since my previous dealings with Rosati were highly professional and amicable.

Very smooth purchase and installation. Rosati was not the cheapest option for windows, but their prices seemed reasonable, and the product quality, sales presentation, and company reputation were more impressive than the other companies. Everyone we dealt with was very professional, the installation was done quickly and relatively painlessly, and we're very pleased with the results.

I really can't overstate how well this project went with Rosati Windows. We contacted three companies to bid on replacing our 20-year-old windows. Rosati beat all their prices by a considerable amount. I was shocked that we could install this level of product for less than $600/window. From sales consultation to final inspection, everything was professional and customer service driven. And best of all, the windows have transformed the look of our house... I'm sure they'll have a significant effect on our utility bills as well. Our sales rep Brent took the time to explain what they had to offer and how it could be customized to our situation. Unlike other companies, he didn't spend all evening with heat lamps and material samples trying to wow us. It didn't hurt that his final price was nearly half what the others guys were quoting. About nine weeks later, James and his partner came out to install the windows. These guys were great... due to discovering some rotted wood under the old windows, they had to put in a 12+ hour day... staying until 9pm because rain was forecast for the next day. Both installers were 100% positive the whole time... never complaining about how long it was taking. They also adjusted their schedule so my 15-month-old could go to bed at 8pm. In addition to all this, we weren't charged one extra dollar for the additional materials, including new fascia around the window wells and decorative woodwork below. About a month later, a Rosati inspector returned to make sure the windows were functioning properly and answer any questions we'd discovered from using them. He also hung brand new shutters we'd purchased after our old shutters disintegrated during the installation (They were 20-years-old, so I certainly don't blame James). In addition to all this great service, we have a lifetime warranty on the windows and a 10-year warranty to the next buyer. Rosati will even re-screen the bug screens for free if we bring them to the headquarters. It's so refreshing to find a company that really values the customer.

We initially signed contract in November hoping for installation by end of year, but this was not possible. Windows were installed second week in February after initially planning for late January installation. Workers arrived when they said, were professional and friendly and did a good job. They kept the house as neat as possible under the circumstances and all went well. Windows went in quickly and they cleaned up afterward. I was very impressed with the service. Windows fit well and operate smoothly. I would certainly use Rosati for any future window installations.

I had shopped around for windows in the fall of 2010 and had a number of estimates. Mr. King, the salesperson from Rosati came out to the house and went over his estimate. I asked for another with triple pane windows and he came back over with a new estimate. It was less than the other companies and provided better insulation. He explained that the triple pane window was not needed in this area and he did inform me that I would save almost as much money with the double pane window upgrade and he did not recommend the additional cost of the tiple pane windows. I chose to upgrade to the triple pane windows and added a wood interior trim as well. As the deadline for installation came, I received a notice from Rosati that if they could not install them in time for the tax credit in 2010, then they would reimburse me the difference that I would lose. They were able to install the windows the last week of December. They did a great job! The installers were very professional and carefull not to damage anything. They answered questions I had about the old windows and the installation process and the showed me how to operate the new windows as well. The windows look great, both on the outside and the inside. I have definately noticed a difference in the heating bills and and would recommend that anyone who is thinking of getting new windows at least contact them for an estimate. They have a great product, good service, and Mr. King was very accomodating. There was no pressure to purchase from them. I would definately use them again and recommend them to others.

I contacted Rosati windows late wednesday night on email and asked if they could drop by and provide an estimate the next day. I live within 0.8 miles of their showroom and was going to be available all afternoon. I was contacted shortly after lunch, scheduled a time and later met with the sales person. It was very educational and I did receive a quote at the end of the session. The bid seemed a little high. This was my first experience through the buying windows process, so it was a little odd for me to see a quote and then 35% reduction to arrive at the final bid price. Why can't businesses give you the best price without all of the little games? I am still looking into other window vendors. The bid was $2700 for 5 standard sized windows, 4 "regular" and one bathroom window.

I am running a 35% off sale and our consumers want to see that number. We have built our reputation on not playing games and we have done very well because of it. We never give any ultimatums that the price is only good today. Our quotes are good for 30 days

My home was built in the 1950's. Even though I have painted, repaired walls, purchased new windows, etc., there was still something missing. A friend recommended Rosati for interior doors, and mentioned how they use a laser measurement system. From beginning (initial sales visit) to the end (inspection of work), this was by far one of the easiest rehab projects as far as dealing with a vendor. AND, that missing piece to updating the house was complete -- with new interior doors, I finally feel that all of the other upgrades have come together. I was also pleased that I could replace the existing 6 panel doors with the new Rosati doors, which were also 6 panel. I am sure that the price seems high, but it was worth every penny.

This was a long process that started in August/September 2010. We began with a salesman coming to our house for a window estimate. We decided the type and which windows to replace at the end of September but due to conflicting schedules with our salesman, we were not able to meet until the first part of October. One major deciding factor for the windows we chose and how many was that the windows were eligible for the tax-credit to expire at the end of 2010. We told our salesman this factor was important to us and he said that if we get our order in by October 15, 2010 there should not be any problem for having the windows installed by the end of the year. We meet with him and sealed the deal to puchase three vinyl windows and 7 timberview windows on October 12, 2010. Approximately 4 weeks later, a Rosati employee came out and measured the windows for a final measurement and it was then that I was informed that the vinyl windows would be installed by the end of December but that the Timberview would not be. I found this irritating in the sense that I was originally told all the windows would be installed by December 31, 2010 but I obviously was not able to do anything about it. A few weeks later we received a letter from Mike Rosayti stating that he apologized but due to an unforseen increase in window sales, he would not be able to get our windows placed by Dec 31, 2010 but he would be willing to give us a puchase credit for the same amount of the tax credit we would have been able to take. This, I felt, made up for misleading me that we would not get our entire order installed by the end of December. December 24, our three vinyl windows were installed. So, after the first of January we were contacted that our Timberview windows were done and they wanted to install them. I talked with the installer and asked him about the letter from Mike Rosati and how the credit would work for the balance due on our remaining windows. The installer's assistant told me that to recieve the balance credit, there was a deadline to order the Timeberview windows by October 2 and not liking that answer, as it says nothing in Mike's letter about having to have ordered windows by a certain deadline, I asked to talk to the installer. He told me that the deadline to order Timberview windows was October 1. I told him that I had never heard of an October 1st deadline, that I was told by our salesman that all the windows needed to be ordered by October 15 and that Mike Rosati's letter said nothing about specific windows or a specific order. I told the installer that I was not 100% happy with what I was hearing and with my experience and I wanted to talk to someone else about at least meeting me half way to give me credit for half of the tax credit I would have received. The installer abruptly said "I will have the sales manager call you" and then he hung up with out a good bye or thank you. The installer called me back about 4 minutes later and negotiated that I would receive a budget credit off my balance due for half of what I would have received for my tax credit. In addition to this, I also had to have them installed the next day. I didn't appreciate the pressure to have them installed the next day as my husband had to take off work suddenly. However, I agreed with this as I felt my hands were tied and the windows have sense been installed. I do believe I should have had the full tax credit written off my balance but I honestly did not want to deal with this company anymore. The windows are of good quality and work well. I am still very taken aback by the customer service I experienced when there is so much on the website and in the commercials about how the customer is #1. I'm not sure yet if I would recommend the company to family and friends. I do want to say that the men that actually installed my windows were very good and professional and did a nice job. As well, our neighbor has commented how great our windwos look.

Response from Rosati Windows
The tax credit was a huge boost for business but it did come with one downfall. We were literally buried. We did the best we could to get orders out as fast as possible without compromising quality. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused our customer. In the matter of the customers tax credit all customers were aware of cutoff time for ordering. Because she was unhappy I agreed to split the difference. Because they could not file with IRS we took the amount off of their existing balance. The letter was to make our customers aware of delays and anyone who qualified and didn't get windows installed by 12/31 would not be able to file, but that we would honor the amount of tax credit by reducing their balance by the tax credit amount. We did the best we could under the circumstances and I believe everyone was handled fairly. Mike Rosati

My house (1929) had original windows on it. I first visited their showroom (off of I-270 on Roberts Rd) and had them come to quote the job. Rosati was the 3rd window company to quote the job (Pella & Home Depot were the other 2). The price was right in the middle of the other 2. I opted for Rosati because of their great reputation on Angie's List and because they are a LOCAL company. The windows are built, sold, and installed by people from the area. I feel, though, that their pricing is a little high. I paid about $8000 to get 17 windows installed. I split it into 2 different jobs: 9 windows upstairs and 8 windows downstairs. It took a day and a half to do the upstairs, and only about 6 hours to do the downstairs. The installers were on time, cordial, and cleaned up after they were done. The windows function as they should. I have had no problems with the windows, nor with any customer service. I would buy windows from Rosati again.
Description of Work: Rosati Windows replaced 17 windows in 2 stages in my 1929 home totaling around $8000.
