We actually found them on Angie's List. We have a yearly termite contract with them. They took care of the problem and we have not had them since. They explained everything to me right away and I didn't even have to ask what they were doing.

We have used this company before for carpenter ants and were happy with the work they did. They also did a good job this time as we have not seen any ants since they were here (about two weeks ago). We were concerned about our cat and they assured us we only needed to keep our cat in a cage for an hour to let the poison dry. They put it around the baseboards and around the perimiter of the house and said it would not harm the animals outside. I did inform our neighbor and told them they might want to keep their cat in that afternoon. Everything went well.

They were friendly, professional, & reasonably priced for the work performed. Also, no charges were incurred from the initial estimate. In other words, they did not charge us for the initial trip out to do an estimate. Best of all...they did not push any other services, products or monthly contracts! We would highly recommend them to anyone in need of this type of service.

They are prompt and cost effective. I went with them mainly because of their price. They are very easy to work with. I rate them high overall.

We had wood shavings showing up on our patio and noticed rotted wood beneath the patio door. To be certain that we did not have termites or another kind of insect problem, we called Ohio Exterminating; a guy came out within a couple of days and took only about ten minutes to determine that insects were not the cause--no attempt to sell some other service, no pressure to have some work done "just in case," no bull, and no cost. We appreciated the quick and honest assessment and would call them if we ever did suspect insect problems in the future.

It went well. Prompt, professional all the way.

They have only come once but the interaction with them was very favorable. The serviceman was very nice. The experience was fine. They were prompt and they were on time. They were responsive and came right away. Their price was competitive for what we had done. They were professional and I think I would use them again.

I have a contract with them. They charge me on a yearly basis. They are pretty straightforward. I did have termites and they put the system around the exterior of the house basically to catch them before they get in.

i originally contacted this company last fall. we were having a tremendous ant issue. i had called a couple other companies and they both had wanted me to do a monthly service plan that was extremely costly. Both companies did not even come out to the house to determine the problem. They wanted to sell me the package over the phone. I decided to try another company and found Ohio exterminating on Angie's List. They came out to the house and determined that the type of ant (pavement) did not require a monthly treatment. They told me that they should be disappearing in the fall/winter and would reappear in the spring and that i should wait and treat in the spring. They also told me that it would only require 1-2 treatments, not the monthly treatments the others tried to sell me on. They told me to contact them in the spring, unless the ant problem continued thru the fall. Sure enough within weeks of them being out here the ants disappeared. We were ant free, just like Ohio Ext. told me we would be until this spring. When the ants started appearing in the spring I contacted them. They came out in March and have done 1 treatment. They used a chemical that is considered safe for pets as I had a real concern about my dog being exposed to chemicals. They recommended a follow -up with in 60 days, which i have yet to schedule. The service man that came to the house was very courteous and prompt. He explained everything he was doing and took care with surroundings. We have not seen 1 ant since the original treatment. I was so impressed with their honesty and them not trying to give me the hard sell for a monthly plan.

Called the company, they said that they would be out in October to do the first half of my purchase. October arrived and we received no call about the appointment. I called them and was told by the phone rep that they were out on "X" date. OK, I'll give the benefit of the doubt because I do not expect people to lie to me; however, I was unhappy with this news, since it meant that the entire perimeter of my home did not get sprayed due to the fact that we have a locked gate to our back yard. My husband is home 90% of the time, so a simple phone call would have ensured that they would have had access to the entire house footprint. Also, how do I know that they were actually here? There was no notice left ("Hey, we sprayed your house today - Sorry we missed you!"), they didn't ring the bell, I have no physical receipt that they were on my property at any given point in time. I have two dogs who go nuts when someone walks on our section of sidewalk - they would have let out a huge fuss had someone been on the property. I told the representative that I wanted to be notified ahead of time in the spring so that they would be able to spray the entire perimeter. She assured me that she had notated my account and they would contact us in the spring. Had a call from Andrew about this. Due to weather (rain) they have had to push back the spring spraying schedule. Spring spraying is now scheduled for May 2 - the owner has assured me that his crew will contact us to make sure the entire house footprint is included. We have worked out a reasonable solution regarding the work from last Fall. I appreciate the phone call to discuss why I was unhappy and that he was willing to come to an agreement. While it doesn't make the report flip an entire 180° - it does temper my report. In all fairness, I should have followed up a bit more with Ohio Exterminating - Mom always said that the squeaky wheel gets greased, so I suppose I should have been a pest about this before letting it fester.

Overall the project went very well. Evidence of previous termite activity was discovered in the home we were purchasing and prevention procedures were recommended. We took several estimates and Ohio Exterminating had the lowest cost. I am well pleased with the installation. Cannot judge the periodic service because the first service date has not occurred yet. I would recommend this company.

I had a roof leak and water leak and part of the ceiling in the family room came down, and when it did I found out that there were carpenter ants. They had to treat the ceiling and then come out and do the outside. One person came out, took a look, and told us what it would cost. He was here when he was supposed to come out. He set things up and took care of the issue. He explained what he was doing before he did it and as he did it. That was very professional as far as I'm concerned. He was good. The treatment seems to be working so far as I don't see any ants now. Their price was within the ballpark with everybody else.

Be sure to emphasis to customers it will take a week or more for the problem to go away. Have to carry the spray back to the nests.

They are wonderful and provide great customer service. They are very thorough and leave wonderful reports. They are a fantastic company to work with. They charge $220 for the year, and they come out monthly to inspect the termite stations around my house. I have used them for carpenter bees in the past, and the cost for that was $120. They always educate me and are very thorough in their explanations of what is going on. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

During a major renovation, carpenter ants were found in a wall of the great room and in the crawl space beneath that wall. We contacted Angie's List for reccomendations of exterminating companies. We chose Ohio Exterminating because of their long history in business, their high reccomendations on Angie's List and affiliation with the BBB. The Ohio Exterminating Company representative arrived on time and examinined the affected areas. Because we had already sprayed the areas heavily with ant killer, he did not reccomend a treatment at that time. The same day of his estimation and examination, our renovators showed us more live ants. We called Ohio Exterminating and they arrived on time and answered all of our questions and began the treatment immediately. They treated the interior, attached garage and the basement and crawl space of our home. The estimate was accurate and we are satisfied with the services.

The technician was punctual and polite. After a perimeter check, he setup traps and sprayed the potential entry points ( we have a hole in the wall and several gaps in the foundation. He also explained to me how the bait traps functioned and where mice could have gotten in. Although the company does not handle patching up holes in the walls to prevent mice from coming in, the technician did suggest techniques and materials I should use to patch up the walls.

He was great and explained the whole issue thoroughly.

Technician was puncutual, polite and the product used was non toxic & effective.

They did an excellent job handling this big mess. I was very pleased. They were exceptionally responsive. They came right out because we really needed them.

The did very well. The person who came out seemed very knowledgable. They also seemed to know more and we had the go ahead with the work. They were also less expensive.

Their rep spent 15-20 minutes inspecting our son's room and found no evidence of bedbugs. He was prompt and knowledgeable and did not charge us for the inspection.

They were very prompt and accomodating. They showed up on time. They honored the Angie's List discount and they were very professional. It is too soon to tell how the treatment will work. But, they were good company to work with.

He gave us a recommendation for our mattress and box spring cover. I have always had excellent service with them. I appreciate that they usually send someone from the owning family for the initial inspections.

I thought they were expensive for the amount of time they were there. (That could be the case with other companies). They didn't stay very long and didn't really look for very long to a find problem. The problem didn't really go away either.
