Description of Work: Our furnace quit heating. They came out the same day, on time. Our serviceman took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem. He had the part on his truck, replaced it and was done. Very impressed with his professionalism and service. Would definitely recommend them and use Favret in the future! So happy to have a smart, honest worker!

Description of Work: The blower in my furnace was not running. Technician came out the same day which was great. However, the furnace needed a new circuit board. The cost of the board was $500. However, was able find same board online and at local supply stores for $250. I don't mind paying a markup but double is excessive. If you charge me extra for labor that would have been more honest. I'm happy with service but disappointed with the markup. I called and spoke to the service manager John about the issue and did not get any resolution and he stated the markup is 60 to 70 percent. Just be aware. I've a customer for 5 years now I'm reconsidering that.

Everything went well.
Description of Work: \Checked the heating/air-conditioner prior to using it , making sure all of the coils are cleaned,etc .Replaced furnace blower.

Description of Work: I have a service contract with them-- they check the furnance and air conditioner twice a year. Very good, thorough at identifying problems and being helpful. If you ever need them in an emergency and you have a contract with them, you receive reduced rates and they come right away. Reduces the risk of older equipment and makes life easier.

Description of Work: Recently moved into my condo and the air conditioning stopped working. Had someone through my condo association come out. He worked on the unit, replacing parts, for two days to no avail. Called Favret. The man who came out couldn't fix it but said he send the wiring expert out. His name is Mike. AWESOME! He not only fixed my air, but discovered that the other two guys were working on the wrong unit outside! Favret charged me for just Mike's time, which was fair. Have used Favret at my old home for years. Mike is extremely professional, clean and friendly! Want no one else!

Very honest representative
Description of Work: I had called Favret after speaking to them over the phone in regard to air duct cleaning for our home. As I described the home to the Favret receptionist, the lady said we might have a type of heating system that they could not clean well, but they would be glad to have a person come look at it and give an estimate if they could. The Favret person arrived, and after looking at our home said that he would recommend Fresh Air Corp to clean the heating system we had. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. He did not charge me for his trip or try to clean my system inefficiently. I would definitely have Favret for heating and cooling repairs because I believe they are reputable and honest. I will use them another time for a heating and cooling issue.

Description of Work: I called company multiple times since ihad a service contract with them for the last 2 years. They never sent me another service contract for this year. Called a lady at their office Dec 2010 and 2 weeks ago to inquire about A/Ccleaning, service contract, etc i also asked about 4 UV lights that were installed and why they were replaced during last vservice call in Nov 2010 ( less than 6 months after original placement). The service person at Favret assured me that she would call me within several days once service manager was back in town. After waiting 2 weeks, I called back 9/28/2011 and spoke to service manager who had no messages or any documentation of my conversation with Favret. Spoke with mark Favret owner, explained my disappointment and told him I would be using another company and submitting a report on Angies list. His response was that he would write a rebuttal on Angies list to my since my service contract with their company has expired. No matter what his comments are, their poor customer service cannot be "rebutted": In my opinion, as a homeoner who is expecting communication and value for my money, FAVRET has failed., FAVRET has poor customer service and no followthrough. As a side note, they charged me for replacing UV lights 6 months after they were originally placed and then didnt answer any of my phone callsinquiring about this issue. ( I also called last year about this issue ). They also would not respond to my service call inquiries. I have 5 heating/cooling systems in my house ( system is 5 years old) and I would NEVER use this company again and encourage others to look elsewhere for their HVAC needs.

September 29, 2011 Dear [member]: Thank you for notifying us of your complaint. We strive to provide you with the best possible service, and when you feel that it fails to meet your expectations, it’s important for us to know. We’re sorry that you received service that prompted you to contact us with a complaint, and we regret any inconvenience or frustration that your experience has caused you. To ensure that our staff conducts itself in a manner that reflects the high regard that we have for our customers, we’ve notified the proper department of your complaint. Our Service Manager has your information and has tried to contact you on a couple of days since his return to answer your desired changes in your Service Agreement coverage. The Service Agreement was for one year and it expired 10 months ago. We sent your renewal forms in the mail several times prior to it expiring with no response. We did not hear from you about doing any service work since it expired. This September you called and spoke to one of customer service representatives and she gave our Service Manager your request about changing the coverage. This is not rebuttal but simply the matters we have concerning our service we did for you. Your history with us is one year and nothing more. During 2010 we did perform services when asked to and completed the Service Agreement. It you let it expired. The UV lights had failed out of the warranty and we had not installed the UV lights so we had no warranty conditions. When the lights were replaced there was never a complaint then about doing this repair. This was done over a year ago. Your request for money in this situation cannot be justified. Your patronage is important to us. I’m sorry [member] that you feel we let you down in a simple communication problem. We have an extensive communication system in place for our customers to reach us and it disheartens me to read how it failed us. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Description of Work: First they solved a problem with our boiler that others had not been able to do. Then 2 weeks later our other furnace went out and that one had to be replaced. So, it was an expensive ordeal, but they took care of both issues responsibly.

Very well, good people.
Description of Work: Favret came promptly and was very up to date on the problem our furnace was having and the on the fact that Carrier was offering to replace the part at no cost to the homeowner due to problems Carrier had with that part. We wound up replacing the furnace using an incentive Carrier was offering if we decided on a new furnace rather than fixing the old one. All in all, Favret offered a better furnace and a better price than the company we previously used had offered.

Description of Work: The gas flow in the furnace was stuttering. The tech came, cleaned the furnace as requested, sold us a 1 yr service contract (thank goodness), and found nothing wrong. The problem continued. The next tech replaced our thermostat for $150, but the problem continued. The next tech replaced some valve, for $250 but still the problem continued. "Jim, the old guy" finally figured out that it was the circuit board, which cost $400, but that was not charged to us. The techs were all prompt, polite, clean, and pleasant.

Description of Work: Basically it was just a furnace check-up which was quoted at $113.00 but that was for only 1/2 hour and I was later told that it takes1 hour for a complete check-up. An extra 15 minutes was also used to fix the humidifier for which I am grateful, however I had anticipated spending closer to the $113.00 which was quoted.

Outstanding.
Description of Work: Furnace inspection, clean, and service. The technician, Mark, explained everything he was doing and why. He was punctual and did not waste any time while at my house. He was both cordial and professional. We requested this inspection because we are selling our home and wanted to make sure our maintenence schedule was current. Once we are in our new home, we will be calling Favret to set up a maintenance plan for that HVAC system.
