Description of Work: Technician showed up and was excellent. He diagnosed the issue, kept our house clean, communicated the service would be under warranty and fixed it promptly. Then, the office became involved. They billed us with no communication for $230. When we inquired, we were transferred around and the "proper" person never returned our call. When we received the next bill, we called again and after multiple attempts spoke to the person. He said that the technician was wrong, it was not under warranty and we would own funds. If we had had good information when the technician was there, we would have made a different decision. This person insisted that they were doing us a favor by only billing $230. After a couple more weeks, we began to get collections letters. We are paying the bill, but will discourage everyone against Favret for very poor communication and accommodation.

Description of Work: He checked my gas furnace and heat pump to be sure they were all functioning properly. This is part of a yearly contract that costs me a little over $300 per year. What I like is if something goes wrong they would fix my problem first since I have a contract, over someone who just called them cold.

Description of Work: Fixed up the a/c unit and the furnace. We bought a service package because it ended up being cheaper than the hourly rate. The man was pleasant and professional.

They went the extra mile in registering all of my equipment with the manufacturer, and applying for the rebates on my behalf. Very knowledgeable and professional outfit.

Description of Work: I called them today and got a Mr. Williams. I asked for an estimate on a specific day and told him I was having 2 other people coming also to give estimate. He laughed and said, "Well, I don't know." Shocked I asked him if this was some kind of problem and he laughed again and said, "Well, yes." I told him thanks for nothing and hung up. Terrible and unprofessional customer service.

Description of Work: Furnance went out on one of the coldest days of the early 2015 year. All companies were backed up so I knew there would be several hour delay in getting anyone out to look at our current unit. Favret was first company to make the visit appx. 4-5 hours after my call. Service Tech was very knowledgable and identified the problem quickly which required a new unit. Because old unit was leaking some CO2, he had to shut all power off to the heater. By then it was mid-afternoon and they could not install a new furnance until next day. Was a rough night as had to send family elsewhere to stay while I slept with the pets near the gas fireplace, and kept an eye on the water pipes to keep from freezing with outside temps in single digits. Removal of old unit/install new one took about 5 hours, followed by another hour for someone to do install inspection. There was another inspection required to qualify for AEP rebate. When that Farvet tech came out he seemed knowldgable and identified that he thought was an incorrect install on the water heater (venting to the outside when tank was instaled during previous owners time). The tech made several calls and determined he could not complete the inspection until the hot water heater vent was correctly installed. I asked if they do that and he responded yes and told me he would write it up as a needed service call and Favret would follow up on doing the work. It has now been more than 2 weeks and I've not heard a word from them so that's been a disappointment in terms of quality of service. Satisfied with quality of the furnance, and with speed they installed. Called them because used them the first time I lived in the Columbus, Ohio area back in early 2000's. May or may not use again for other needs depending on how they handle the still waiting follow-up need for the hot water tank re-venting.
