Carl Zipf Lock Shop

I had a cabinet that was stuck. It was stuck three months ago and He came out and fixed that. He came back today because I was not able to get it unlocked. He did the work and I did not have any problem. He is an outstanding person. He did a good work. His responsiveness is good. I would use him in the future.

They were very efiicient and on itme. I would use them again.

The whole process went very well. A man came out to give us an estimate, which we accepted, parts were ordered, they came back after the parts arrived and did the installation. Cleaned up after their work. Somewhat expensive, but the extra piece of mind (security) makes it worthwhile.

We called the company to see if they could change the lock on our front door. The work was scheduled and completed in the same day. The man came out, looked at the lock, and discussed our options. He then went out to his truck to key the locks. He returned a few minutes later to install them. The whole call took about 40 minutes! Professional, good quality service.

They were timely and did a great job on an old door. We were very pleased.

We decided to replace our deadbolt locks with key type deadbolt locks. They assisted us in identifying the proper systems that would work on our existing doors. They then ordered and keyed all three locks for us.

Very helpful: Tom spent approx 1.5 hours with me at his shop reviewing lock options and combinations: brand, type, pros, cons. He showed me all sorts of examples. I finally settled on a brand and look. Within a few days the installer was out to put in 5 new door handles with button locks as well as 4 new deadbolt locks. He also adjusted some existing locks at no extra charge. The quote was less than that of competitors. I'm thrilled with the result and I appreciate the time they took to answer all my questions.

The locksmiths at Carl Zipf were great. They questioned me carefully about the lock over the phone, which the previous locksmith never did. They actually had a key for the lock, and if I had gone to them first, I would still have an undamaged trunk. Unfortunately, the previous locksmith damaged the lock beyond repair. Fortunately, by taking their time (overnight) and without further damage, they were able to open the trunk. They were very responsive to my concerns, and appeared genuinely upset that another locksmith would damage a lock rather than admit an inability to open it. I will use their services in the future.

The service was thoroughly professional. The service technician was knowledgable and efficient. The locks were installed correctly the first time and he cleaned up after finishing the project.

THE LOCK WORKS NOW AND HAS 3 KEYS. HE DID CALL TO SAY HE WOULD BE LATE, AND GAVE HIM DIRECTIONS, AGAIN ALSO THINK $75.00 SERVICE CALL IS A BIT TOO MUCH AS DID NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS.

There was no rush so we made an appointment for the following day. The serviceman got lost but when I called the office, they tracked him down and had him there within 5 minutes. He was very friendly, picked the lock in 30 seconds, and even put my new lock assembly on which I had already purchased.

I tried to do the job myself, and ran into problems with old doors. I saw one of their vans in a parking lot on a trip to the hardware store, and explained my proble to John, the technician who was in the van having lunch. He was very helpful. I called the shop, and they were able to dispatch John the same afternoon. Would highly recommend. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Locksmith was friendly, helpful, courteous & did a great job. He showed up on time. This lock is difficult to work with, because there is no place for a screwdriver on the bolt. A previous locksmith gave me a really hard time about it. This guy agreed that it was difficult, but didn't complain. Instead, he filed a groove into the screw so that we'll never have that problem again. I appreciate proactive & resourceful services.

I am impressed with them and their inventory. People were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
