+ -1 moreTHIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY BUSINESS OR CONTRACTOR. HE INSTALLED TWO NEW VELUX SKYLIGHTS. HE MIS-REPRESENTED HIMSELF/COMPANY AS A CERTIFIED VELUX INSTALLER. HE REFUSES TO ADMIT ANY FAULT. THE ROOF DOES NOT NEED REPLACED. HE DID NOT MENTION ANY SUSPECTED ROOFING PROBLEMS ON HIS INITIAL INSPECTION. HIS CREW MEMBERS TOLD ME, DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE SKYLIGHTS, THAT THE ROOF WAS OK NOW BUT WOULD PROBABLY NEED REPLACED IN THREE TO FIVE YEARS. I HAVE TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS THROUGH THE BBB AND THE OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL. HE REFUSED TO RESPOND TO BOTH. I AM NOW LOOKING FOR A ROOFER TO FIX THE PROBLEMS THAT CHARLES BLANTON AND BLANTON ROOFING LEFT BEHIND.
Description of Work: BOTH SKYLIGHTS IN OUR LIVING ROOM WERE LEAKING. I CONTRACTED WITH BLANTON ROOFING ON 8/25/2004 TO REPAIR THE LEAKING PROBLEM. ON NOV. 22, 2004 ONE SKYLIGHT BEGAN LEAKING. BY DEC. 17, 2004 BOTH SKYLIGHTS WERE LEAKING. CHARLES BLANTON INSPECTED THE ROOF AFTER NOV. 22 AND SAID THE ROOF BELOW THE SKYLIGHTS NEEDED REPLACED AT A COST OF $950.00. I DID NOT AGREE TO THE ADDITIONAL REPAIR. HE INSPECTED AGAIN AFTER DEC. 17 AND SAID THE WHOLE SECTION OF THE ROOF NEEDED REPLACED AT A COST OF $2400.00. I AGAIN DID NOT AGREE TO THE ADDITIONAL REPAIR. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD CONTRACTED WITH HIM AND HAD PAID HIM TO REPAIR THE LEAKING SKYLIGHTS. AND SINCE IT WAS OBVIOUS TO ME THAT THE WORKMANSHIP WAS FAULTY, I EXPECTED HIM TO HONOR THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY IN THE INVOICE/CONTRACT AND CORRECT THE LEAKING PROBLEM AT NO ADDITIONAL COST OR REFUND THE $2100.00. SINCE THEN HE HAS REFUSED TO RETURN MY PHONE CALLS.
