Noel Cintron and his team were professional; from start to finish Noel was clear about the process. Many wooden boards were taken off the side of the house, filled with insulation, re-nailed and caulked. The attic was also insulated, but with insulation sheets, tyvec and cellulose. They arrived promptly and cleaned well after their work's completion. Thankfully our home feels warmer, less drafty.

Excellent, Noel came to our home, checked out our attic, gave us an estimate and explained in detail the process to us.His staff arrived at the scheduled time and completed the work efficiently and to order. Very nice guy, he arrived and checked out the work with me, before they left. The staff, his two nephews did a nice job and cleaned up very well after themselves.I highly recommend them, very professional guys.

Mr. Cintron let a little time elapse between the time we called him to accept his estimate and the time he called back to schedule the work, but he and his crew came on the day we agreed, though an hour later than he had arranged with us. His crew worked well and very steadily for about 10 hours and finished the job that day, but they told us that they had thought they would have three workers on the job and not the two there were. They worked very well, but the clean-up was more cursory than would have been the case if they had had three people on the job. The workers were great; we have the sense that the management of the job could have been better. That said, we recommend A and J and we would use them again.

I thought everything went well. They showed up pretty much on time, in any event the job was finished in two days -- which was what I was told. They missed a little clean up, nothing major, and overall I was pretty happy with the workman. However, the worker who insulated the attic manually turned on my attic fan (understandable, since I'm sure it was extremely hot) and forgot to shut it off. He had to return in two days, to turn it off.

This company was right on the money. We have asked him for references and if they check out we will use him.

Noel came to the house for an estimate. Once I decided to have the work done, he gave me a two-week window to start, which he met. The half-day job was done in the time frame stated. Noel and his crew were friendly and professional. Costs met estimates.

My experience with A&J Insulation was excellent. Noel was professional on time as was his crew that did the work. They cleaned up after the job was finished. I would recommend and use this company again.

I was virtually 100% satisfied with A&J's work. They came on the date scheduled and finished the work within the time they told me it would take. All workers and the owner, who personally oversaw the work, were professional but yet very friendly and approachable. The only minor negative was that clean-up outside could have been a little better. But it was nothing that would ever lead me to criticize the company. After all the work was done in December and it was cold. I would recommend the company to everyone needing insulation in an older house.

A crew of 4 arrived at my house at 9:30 the first day and finished up around 3:30. They very poorly cleaned up the mess made inside and outside. The crew came back the next day at 9:30 to finish the job. Again, they did a very poor clean up job. They left nails and insulation materials all over my driveway and backyard as well as all over my bathroom (I know the partner of the company seen the bathroom because he used it 4 times). I explained to the Noel that the clean up was very poor. His only resolution to this issue was that he would pass it on to the crew.

Noel was very professional, told us exactly what we'd be getting and exactly what to expect when the job was finished. His team performed the work on the scheduled day. There was some cleanup to do after they were finished, but Noel made that clear at the start of the job. After all the dust settled we cleaned up and are looking forward to a cozier 3rd floor family room this winter.

We were told by the owner that we should anticipate a 6-week wait for labor to commence. During that interim, circumstances occurred which prevented us from moving ahead with the insulation, due to financial constraints. We had hoped that our circumstances would require just a delay, which we conveyed to the owner, but when we realized that we could not go ahead this year with a project of this cost, informed the company of this, and requested a return of our deposit$389.00), we received no response. We do not feel that it is fair or justified for the company to keep $389.00 for a deposit on work that was never performed.

They were so helpful, and they did a very, very fine job. I washed the walls when they were done, but they had washed the walls before they left. I am sure that my bills will be lower. They did the job all in one day.

I highly recommend this contractor. I selected him because he was top-rated on Angie's List at the time. He was very knowledgeable and demonstrated integrity regarding what would give me the most "bang for my buck" while giving me his estimate. It impressed me that he did not try to sell me insulation for the walls of my brick house as he demonstrated that the gap between the inside wall and the brick was not wide enough to provide much value. His estimate was very reasonable compared to others--and I did get multiple bids. I was nervous about going with my cheapest bidder, but am happy now that I did. And he was flexible and patient as I changed specs as the job approached and in the middle of the job. He dropped pricing proportionately as I decided to defer one part of the job since it would require me to move a lot of furniture--something I didn't have time to do. That impressed me. His nephews work the job for him so there are not problems with transient labor in terms of quality or theft risk. They cleaned up after themselves very well, leaving only a few insulation traces in a couple of areas on the whole house. (I think it was an oversight given how thoroughly they cleaned up everywhere else.) They seem to have done a very good job on our home. I experienced substantial savings on natural gas this past this past winter. Honest man. Honest work. No wonder he is rated so well. Between his reasonable pricing and the federal tax credits available under President Obama (http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=products.pr_tax_credits#c2), you should do well in your energy savings and in reducing your carbon footprint.

The overall experience went well. We checked Angie's list for highly rating insulation contractors close to our home. We also checked BBB. A & J was highly rating in both, i.e. BBB A rating and Angie's list A rating with an award. I was impressed with Noel Cintron and felt A & J would do a very good job. The job estimate was $1715 after the Angie's list discount. We ultimately chose another (BBB and Angie's list) highly rated company because their estimate was noticeably lower, i.e. more than 15% lower.

Noel Cintron, the owner, was very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. He brought in a large crew and finished everything in one day. Everyone was very polite and cleaned up after themselves very well. I am confident that my heating bills will be much lower next year.

They did a great job. They came when they said they would, were very courteous and professional and they worked incredibly hard - they were here 9-5, working constantly except for a short lunch break. It is a physically taxing job, and I have a new respect for their profession! The vents look great - no ice dams this year! - and he installed two more than proposed, at no additional cost. Our home did seem warmer immediately - the job was done in January right before the first big snowstorm. The amount we paid is inexpensive considering the amount of work they did, and the value we will see in return. I recommend this company very highly.

Noel showed up on time with 2 men, Juan and Ricardo, who did the actual work after Noel went over everything with them. They were very professional and did the work in approximately 3 hours. I am very happy with the results and would recommend them.

Great job from start to finish. Estimate was timely and informative. Did not get other estimates because of stellar reviews by this company. Estimate was in line with my expectation so went ahead and used A & J. Noel is very thorough in explaining everything and very detailed in answering all questions. My job took one full day and 1/2 of the next. I had to wait several weeks to get scheduled as I wanted my job to include one weekend day. They are a very busy company. The first day four people were working, Noel and Jerry the owners were working along with Noels two nephews. They were very diligent in their work and would ask me to take a look at what they were doing as they finished major areas, especially the attic above the addition before they sealed up the access panel. I had asked what I needed to do in prep for the job, so I had no issues with things getting insulation on them in the attic. They were extremely careful covering the floors in the home to get where they needed to go and shop vacuumed any before they left each day. At the end of the job, Noel went over my furnace humidifier with me because with insulation and a more sealed home, it would be something I would need to turn down. On the 2nd day before the job was wrapped up, Noel even helped me start my snow blower which never works every year, when he came by to check on the job. Overall, great bunch of guys and nice work. Everyone was very hard working. I am not sure at the moment what effect the insulation has had on my utility bill at this point as it is too soon, but my home does feel warmer.

Arrived on time got the job done all in one day. Sure is a lot cozier this winter! I have not had to raise and lower the thermostat at all this year thanks guys!

Contacted them during a very busy time for them and requested that they insulated another section of our home. They set the time and arrived on time, performed the service very well and courteously. Clean-up was satisfactory and the price was less than what I expected to pay. I intend to use them again for the first floor of my house. They saved us a lot of money before and I expect to have a pleasant surprise again when the complete the last segment. I recommend them highly.

The whole experience was great. Noel spent 1 1/2 hours checking the house and explaining everything when he came for the estimate. He offered two options for the basement crawl spaces, depending upon what we wanted to spend and how beneficial they would be. Our original proposal included insulating the exterior walls, but they found it was unnecessary and we ended up saving $2000 off the original proposal. We found Noel to be extremely honest and thorough. They came on time and cleaned up afterward. Noel took his time after they were done to explain exactly what they did and to answer questions. We highly recommend the company.
