A & J Insulation Inc

Mr. Cintron and three other men came to perform the work at the time they were scheduled to arrive. All of the overhang vents were opened up by use of a saw. The metal covering was then replaced over the vents. We picked this company because they could do this work, which other companies could not. The vent work was excellent. The insulation was placed as quoted. After completion, I was shown that the insulation was installed as quoted. All people were courteous. They cleaned up after the job was completed. We are so pleased with the work that was done.

In January, we had him come and give us an estimate. He already prepared us for the wait time. He said it would be March before he could get to us. He called two weeks ahead and scheduled the appointment for March 13th. He showed up on time. He introduced me to all the workers he brought. We went into the attic to look at areas he had questions about before he started. He notified me when he was taking a lunch break and when to expect him back. They did a good job cleaning up. The men were friendly and polite. Noel made certain that I was happy with the work and cleanup. It was a very good experience.

Noel was very upfront about the problems of removing old shingles. He said he could make money doing the job that way, but I wouldn't be happy with the outcome which would cost him more in the long run. I appreciated his professionalism and honesty, however disappointing to me.

WAS VERY HAPPY WITH PRICE AND WORK, ESTIMATE WAS IN SEPTEMBER, BECAUSE OF OTHER WORK BEING DONE AT MY HOME. HE CALLED TO CHECK IN WITH ME AND SINCE I WAS SO BUSY WE HAD TO SCHEDULE WORK FOR FIRST WEEK IN JANUARY. HE WAS HERE ON TIME, WORK WAS VERY NEAT, AND HE EXPLAINED AND SHOWED ME EVERYTHING THAT WAS DONE.

Workers were very detailed. They arrived on time, and finished ahead of schedule. Every tiny bit of insulation that escaped their machine was cleaned up. There were no hidden costs. I will recommend Mr. Cintron and crew to anyone who needs to have all or part of their house insulated.

AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. THIS WAS NOT A "PIECE OF CAKE ". IT WAS AWKWARD. HANDLED ALL SITUATIONS WITH HUMOR AND WERE CALM. THEY DID MAKE A FEW DIRTY FOOT PRINTS ON THE CARPETING BUT COULDNT BE AVOIDED ON THE DAY THE WORK WAS DONE. THIS COMPANY WAS EAGER TO GIVE ESTIMATE, APPEARED WHEN SAID, WERE POLITE, AND THOROUGH, EXPLAINED POSSIBILITIES.

OK, here goes! Were Noel and his crew nice? Yes they were. Is my house warmer because of the work they did? Yes it is. Were they on time? Don't know because they didn't tell me what time they were coming on the first day. My problem with them is that they had no regard for my possessions. Within 5 minutes of them starting work I had to ask them to put down drop clothes. It is the middle of December, and snow going through my garage had tracked in a lot of black stuff. They said they only brought 1 drop cloth. I covered my carpet and hall with my own blankets and sheets to protect my carpeting. Had they not done this before in the winter? My outside things were not put back when they were done. (grill, broom etc.) I did not ask them to clean the black spots on my carpet, and they did not offer to do so. If you use this company, have them do the job in the summer.

I picked this company because the quote was slightly lower and Because Noel Cintron, who gave the quote would also be the job foreman. Since I waited until prime season to get a quote I had to wait a few weeks for the job. The team arrived promptly and finished at the time predicted. Noel checked with me as the areas were completed so that I could inspect the depth and coverage before they patched the holes.

On time, work was excellent. Clean up was done extremely well. Courteous and very efficient. Overall a great experience. They are terrific.

Noel is very responsive and easy to work with. He is punctual and he and his crew put in two long and hard days. Noel made sure that he reviewed all completed work with me to make sure I was satisfied. The work consisted of repositioning existing batt insulation in the attic and then blowing in 4 more inches of cellulose on top. In the walls, they blew insulation into six walls. As they worked, they discovered areas needing insulation that were beyond the scope of the bid but included that work at no additional charge. These are honest and hardworking people and I highly recommend them to all members. Remember though, blowing insulation does create dust. A&J did a nice job of cleanup when they were done.

THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH - HONEST, PUNCTUAL, THOROUGH, AVAILABLE TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS.

NOEL AND JERRY WERE PUNCTUAL AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

THIS IS A GREAT COMPANY. NOEL AND HIS CO-WORKERS ARE CLEVELAND FIREMEN WHO INSULATE ON THOSE DAYS THEY ARE NOT WORKING AT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THEY WERE PROMPT, COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, POLITE, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY ALSO DID A THOROUGH JOB IN CLEANING UP AFTER THEY WERE DONE. OF THE THREE COMPANIES I HAD GIVE ME ESTIMATES (ALL OF WHOM WERE ANGIE'S LIST COMPANIES,) A&J WERE THE MOST REASONABLY PRICED. ALSO, OF THE THREE COMPANIES, A&J DID THE MOST COMPLETE JOB IN PRIMARILY USING CELLULOSE INSULATION. SOME OF THE OTHER COMPANIES WERE GOING TO USE FIBERGLASS IN THE ATTIC, AS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER FOR THEM. HOWEVER, A&J INSULATION HAS A UNIQUE WEBBING SYSTEM TO HOLD THE CELLULOSE INSULATION IN PLACE IN THE EAVES OF THE ATTIC SO THEY CAN USE THE SUPERIOR CELLULOSE PRODUCT. IN ADDITION, A&J COLOR-MATCHED THE EXISTING MORTAR ON THE HOUSE IN THE HOLES THEY HAD TO FILL. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO MY NEIGHBORS, AND I FEEL THAT THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST.

THE TEAM WAS PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. ALREADY THE HOUSE FEELS WARMER. THE COMPANY COULD DO A BETTER JOB OF WARNING CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF DUST PRODUCED, HOWEVER. IF I HAD KNOWN EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE WOULD BE COVERED IN DUST, I WOULD HAVE TAKEN STEPS TO COVER EVERYTHING WITH TARPS OR REMOVE CERTAIN THINGS UNTIL THE JOB WAS DONE. I HAD NO WARNING THAT SUCH A MESS WOULD BE LEFT TO BE CLEANED UP. TO THEIR CREDIT, HOWEVER, THE MEN DID A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES BY VACUUMING, ETC. HOWEVER, THE MAJORITY OF THE DUST DOESNT SETTLE FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS, SO BY THE TIME THE BIG CLEANUP IS BEGUN, THEY ARE ALREADY OFF THE JOB. I SUGGEST THE COMPANY CONTRACT WITH A CLEANING COMPANY TO SEND TO CUSTOMERS HOMES IN THE DAYS AFTER THE INSULATION JOB IS COMPLETE.

NOEL WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE & PROFESSIONAL. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD & WORKED VERY CAREFULLY & THOROUGHLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

NOEL WAS PROFESSIONAL AND CORDIAL. HE TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN THE WORK AND ANSWER QUESTIONS. HIS CREW WAS FRIENDLY AND RESPECTFUL. NOEL KEPT IN COMMUNICATION ABOUT THE WORK SCHEDULE AND WORK WAS DONE WHEN PROMISED. THEY DID THE WORK SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT. SOME PAPER INSULATION WAS LEFT ON THE FLOOR BELOW THE ATTIC ACCESS PANELS, OTHERWISE ALL WORK WAS DONE VERY WELL.

I HIRED NOEL A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO TO BLOW IN INSULATION INTO MY ATTIC. THEY DID A GREAT JOB THEN SO I HIRED HIM TO DO THE OUTSIDE WALLS. THE JOB TOOK 1 1/2 DAYS. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WORKED NONSTOP, ONLY STOPPING FOR LUNCH. THEY CAREFULLY CLEANED UP/VACUUMED ALL AREAS IN THE HOUSE WHERE SOME OF THE INSULATING MATERIAL BLEW THROUGH GAPS AND CRACKS. WHEN THEY GOT DONE SANDING AND PAINTING OVER THE WOODEN PLUGS, YOU'D NEVER KNOW THERE WERE HOLES IN THE SIDING, IT BLENDED SO WELL. THEY CLEANED UP THE YARD, PATIO AND EVEN BLEW THE SAWDUST AND STRAY INSULATION OFF THE FRONT PORCH ROOF. HE WAS ALSO VERY GOOD ABOUT EXPLAINING EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND HOW THEY WERE DOING IT. HE STOPPED TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS AND CORRECT ANY PROBLEMS--LIKE WHEN I HOLLERED TO HIM THAT INSULATION WAS COMING INTO THE LIVING ROOM VIA THE COLD-AIR REGISTER! HIS WHOLE CREW WAS POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE DID NOT CHARGE MORE THAN HIS ESTIMATE. IT WAS AGAIN A GOOD EXPERIENCE TO DO BUSINESS WITH NOEL.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL, NO HARD SELL DURING ESTIMATE BUT GAVE GREAT EXPLANATION AND INFO. FOLLOWED THROUGH IN ALL ASPECTS. REALLY NICE GROUP OF GUYS!

ONE OF THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY CAME OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS WITH PROFESSIONALISM. I DIDN'T HIRE, BECAUSE I RECEIVED A LOWER ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY, BUT I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT A&J WOULD DO A GREAT JOB.

RETURNED CALL IN REASONABLE TIME, VERY PLEASANT, SHOWED UP ON TIME WITH CREW, DID ALL WORK IN ONE DAY AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARD(WORKED DURING A SNOW DOWN POUR...GREAT HARD WORKING GUYS). CREW WAS PLEASANT. PRICE WAS IN LINE WITH OTHER QUOTES I RECEIVED AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS INCLUDING THE VENTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

THEY ANSWERED ALL PHONE CALLS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS PROFESSIONALLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

THEY DID THE WORK IN THE TWO DAYS THEY HAD ESTIMATED AND CLEANED UP VERY THOROUGHLY. ALL THREE CREW MEMBERS WERE VERY POLITE, FRIENDLY AND THEY WERE NICE TO MY CATS.

I SPOKE WITH MY NEIGHBOR WHO THOUGHT THAT YEARS PRIOR TO ME OWNING THE HOME, THAT INSULATION WAS BLOWN IN. I MADE A & J INSULATION AWARE OF THIS AND THEY SENT A REPRESENTATIVE OUT TO CHECK. HE DRILLED A HOLE IN THE EXTERIOR WALL AND IT CONFIRMED THAT INSULATION HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY BLOWN IN. WHEN I ASKED HIM WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO TO COVER THE HOLE, HE SIMPLY REATTACHED THE SIDING (DID NOT REPAIR THE HOLE!) A&J INSULATION REFUNDED MY DOWN PAYMENT. EVEN WITHOUT REPAIRING THE HOLE IN MY WALL, I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICE. THEY SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THE PRICE WAS AVG. COMPARED WITH OTHER COMPANIES. IN REVIEWING OTHER ANGIE'S LIST REPORTS, IT SEEMS THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK AND THEY'VE RECEIVED ANGIE'S LIST AWARDS FOR SEVERAL YEARS RUNNING.

NOEL WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING, EVEN THOUGH I NEEDED THE WORK DONE IN A HURRY. THE PRICES WERE A TAD ON THE HIGH SIDE, I THOUGHT, BUT THE WORK WAS GREAT QUALITY AND THE MATERIALS WERE FIRST RATE.

NOEL WAS PROMPT AND INFORMATIVE. HE EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE PROCESS, ARRIVED ON TIME AND I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
