Ladies, this is the company to do your insulation. What gentlemen!!! Four of the nicest guys and such hard workers. They worked non-stop with Noel's two nephews insulating the attic and Noel & Jerry (Cleveland Firefighters) insulating the house. Noel is more than willing to answer all your questions and take you around and show you the insulating process. Noel also knew that I would have to miss work on the days he was insulating, so these four guys were able to finish the attic and house in one day and I really appreciated not missing another day of work. Noel told me I would notice a difference in the temperature of the house almost immediately and he was correct. He also said the insulation would be a sound barrier and he was not kidding. Thank you Angie's List for another great find. Noel and his crew worked non-stop through lunch and did a great clean-up job. This process is a little messy, but they had the yard, the siding and the house looking just like before. Thanks, Noel.

Our 115 year old historical school house needed additional insulation in the attic to get it to R-49 along with supplying vents in our overhangs to get the proper ventilation to the attic. I had several quotes submitted for this job and chose A & J based upon price and the reviews in Angie's List. I called A & J and they responded in a very timely manner with a quotation. I sent in their required deposit, they called back in a couple of days to let me know that they had an opening in a couple of days and would we like to have the job done earlier that originally estimated. They were very easy to work with in fitting into our schedule. They arrived on time and were very courteous and professional in their work manners.

We needed to insulate some of the wall space in our 100+ year old home. Company owner visited and examined our home thoroughly from basement to attic (we told him about the insulation in the attic) with regard to insulation. He provided an estimate immediately. I chose A & J based on price and reputation and sent in the 10% deposit. About 3 weeks later A&J called to schedule a date for the work. The team of three arrived on time and completed the work that day. They cleaned up fairly well, although some cellulose remained on the ground outside and I had to do some vacuuming inside. The holes were plugged with temporary plastic covers. {Later in the spring, they promise to return to put in permanent wood plugs that will be sanded and varnished. Ten percent of the cost was withheld to cover the return.} Our walls are much warmer now; we look forward to lower utility bills. The owner and work crew were very pleasant and responsible.

They did a very good job. Showed up on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and finished the job ahead of schedule.

This is a follow up to my report of 3/23/06 on this company. Last year the insulation was installed in 3/06. After installation, the weather was not that cold. I could not accurately measure the quality of the installation by the amount of snow that remained on the house roof in cold weather. This year the weather is plenty cold. I am so excited to see the white snow frosting we have on the roof. The insulation is so effective that the snow does not melt at all. I look around the neighborhood and see roofs not covered with snow, as it has melted from the lost heat from the house. There is not one house that has a snow cap as ours does. Just wanted to let you know.

Very good! Noel is very honest. He let us know that other companies may say that they can insulate areas that are brick on block (only an inch or so thick). Noel would not do this as this would provide very little insulation value. We were impressed enough to send other business his way.

After getting 3 estimates, I chose A&J as Noel's price was at or less than the others and he also committed to doing additional work, like building a wooden box around the attic door rather than just a zip lining. He also took time to explain the benefits. He and his crew did a great job. All the work was done exactly as described and everything was cleaned up. Noel even identified why I was getting so much cold air in the mudroom and plugged that up with 2' of insulation and fiberglass. He installed plastic and insulation in the crawl space which will not only keep the basement warmer, but dryer in the summer. Just like he said, the warmth radiates to the above floor making everything more comfortable. He doesn't try to sell you a bunch of things you don't need and in fact when I asked about other insulation, he felt that I would get a huge improvement from these changes and could wait to see if additional insulation is needed. I will recommend him to all my friends.

These guys were great, Noel came in and gave me a very complete explanation of the job. He showed up the day of the job with the crew and went over with them exactly what was to be done. The guys were very professional, did the job quickly a completely. I am very satisfied with the work and there is a very noticeable improvement in the comfort of our home. A&J had the best price by FAR! And the service was very good.

I had estimates from four companies altogether. All the contacted companies looked good but I decided to go with A & J because of the positive reviews here, their price and the amount of insulation coverage. I mailed them a 10% deposit and after a few days Noel called me to schedule the work. Noel and his crew showed up on time, he first walked inside and around the house, then he set a work plan for his crew. They started working on the outside walls, then an additional crew came in later to do the attic work. They worked hard for several hours, insulation is messy but they cleaned up afterwards. When they were done Noel showed me all the work they had performed, I okayed their work and paid him the remaining balance. Noel and his crew were always courteous and professional. Needless to say I am a happy customer; they did a great job, had the best price, my house is comfortable (felt drafty before), the furnace works much less and I was pleasantly surprised with my last gas bill.

They did a great job! They responded to all calls promptly, and I received an estimate. A 3 man crew worked extremely hard on a very hot day. Clean up was good (little dust as I was pre-warned!. They had to cut 2 access holes: 1 wall and 1 roof. Both were covered after the project was complete. I would definitely recommend this company.

Decided to hold off for now on insulation, but if we do the attic insulation in the future, we may end up going with them. Noel seemed professional and had a very thorough process in place for getting the insulation done.

When I first called and talked to Noel, he scheduled to come out to give an estimate very quickly. When he came he was very detailed and thorough in telling me exactly what would be done. He also wrote up a very detailed estimate, which was very helpful for comparison shopping. On the scheduled day he came with 2 crews instead of 1, so the work took 1 day instead of 2. Noel stayed on site the entire time. The crew was nice and cleaned up as best they could because it was a rainy day. Once complete there was a little dust in one area that came through but not near what others told me to expect. I thought the price was very fair for the work completed.

Our overall experience was good. His crew came out on the day they were scheduled, actually 30 minutes earlier than expected. They worked continually, stopping only for lunch. At 5:00pm, they quit for the day, saying that they would have to finish up next week. They worked with my schedule, as I was unable to take off another day for them to complete their work. Even though they took a little bit longer than expected, their job was thorough, and I am satisfied. I would recommend them.

They returned calls in a timely manner, showed up on time to give an estimate, and completed the work. Everything was handled in a very professional manner.

Outstanding company and employees. Very impressed with the work. They removed the siding, drilled holes in house, filled with insulation, plugged the holes and replaced the siding. They also pulled the floor up in the attic, blew in insulation and replaced the wood sections. Again, fantastic work, great clean up, very friendly people. Not the cheapest of the three quotes I got for the project, but the job done was worth the extra few dollars. They blew insulation in places, that the other companies did not even discover, nor discuss.

Noel and Jerry were great. Noel showed me how he wanted to insulate the attic and explained why he wanted to do it that way. Jerry and his crew did all the work in 1 day, and they cleaned up after themselves. The price was low, and the quality was excellent!!

I researched multiple insulation options for our house in Shaker Heights, and decided to go with this company because it was highly recommended by Angie's List and Noel impressed me most. He also gave me the most competitive price (by far). Noel is down to business, honest, and knowledgeable. He supervised the job and did the most critical parts himself. He also was agreeable to do the job on the weekend when we were home. I highly recommend him.

Had a number of companies bid on the business. Wanted a job where the principals of the company would be on the job since have had negative experience with alternative. Noel showed up for estimate on time, coming from east side through a torrential downpour. He was able to schedule us in so that it would coincide with painters, arriving when promised, working through intermittent rainy weather and finishing on a 95 degree day(Saturday). They were invariablly cheerful, respective of my wife, clean and very responsive when called during the bid and scheduling process. They finished off the holes (due to the fact that they would be painted) in clear shellac - but they were very smooth and could be painted by home owner. Their price was very competitive if not slightly better than the competition and they were more flexible on their scheduling. Highly recommended!

A & J gave me no problem about replacing the plugs that were popping out. He said he had never experienced this particular problem before, but did not hesitate to redo the work. I did have to wait awhile because they were backed up with other jobs, but he did not forget and kept me on his schedule and got the work done. I appreciate that he redid this portion of the work when there was a problem and did not charge me.

Generally, pleased with the work. The process of installing insulation is a bit messy, so it wasn't the cleanest job in the world. Though, likely not a fault of the crew. The work was done in winter and some crew members tracked mud/snow in the house. We addressed and behavior stopped. Since installation, our heating bill has more than cut in half. My only negative comment is that, on occasion, it took Noel a while to return phone calls.

Totally awesome. Noel and his crew know what they are doing and so do you. Noel takes his time making sure you now what is being done to your house and that you are okay with it. I would highly recommend their work and their ethical approach to what they are doing.

Very prompt, came the day he said he would. Work performed in a very professional manner. On time and on price.

They were able to fit me in on a tight schedule. They were very responsive about everything. A good experience all around. Highly recommended!

Very responsive; his estimate process included several photos of similar houses and an honest appraisal of how much we'd save on heating bills if we did both our attic and walls together. (He did NOT promise a 75% reduction in bills, unlike others we checked with.) The installation was extremely smooth, and the walls and attic were done in a quality fashion. The only minor ding was that they left several bags in our back yard after cleanup, but on the other hand, they did vacuum the entire house before they left. I'd definitely recommend them.
