Tarvin Plumbing

I called Tarvin Plumbing this morning to request someone to come out to repair or replace if needed the ballcock mechanism. Water had been shooting straight up inside the tank and leaking down sides of tank. The woman who answered the phone was very courteous and told me someone could come out this afternoon. I received a call around noon saying they could be here in 25 minutes, earlier than I expected. Jim came out and after I showed him the problem, he clearly explained my options. I told him to go ahead and replace the mechanism. Price was very reasonable. While working on this repair, Jim noticed a leak from the bottom of the tank where the tank connects to the bowl. He was able to repair this with a gasket and a pair of bolts. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. The work was completed in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. I also appreciate the fact that Tarvin plumbing did not charge an upfront service call charge, try to sell me on a larger job than needed, or try to persuade me to purchase an expensive service contract like I've experienced from other plumbers in the past. I would definitely use their service again and recommend them to others.

The work was scheduled promptly and begun and completed within the estimated timeframe. Mike cleaned up well afterwards and was very good to work with. I highly recommend him.

It went beautifully. They did a really good job. They did it really quickly. They came out the next day as well to help me solder something.

We were thrilled with the service provided by Dave from Tarvin. He was professional and knowledgeable about the challenge we faced. He didn't have exactly the right equipment with him (needed longer cables); yet he was able to "make it work."

The man was very polite and I was very pleased with their service.

Found Tarvin on the list. Called to set up appointment. They came. Employee talked about what could be done to replace water line. Talked a great deal about trying to do it from the inside out rather than trench the yard. Uncomfortable with suggestions. Next day went back to the list and called a different company. Glad I went with another company. The final cost with the other company was half of what Tarvin quoted.

This was a fantastic experience. They came on time, were clear on what they were doing and were trustworthy. They hauled away the old hot water heater. The price was reasonable. The man was very professional, neat and clean, and explained everything that he was doing.

They gave me an estimate in a timely fashion. The actual price was under the estimate. The workers were pleasant and cleaned up their mess. They were prompt and got the job finished quickly.

It went very well. We upgraded to a larger water heater, so the water heater that they took out was working. I had forgot to mention that we were going to hang on to the older one because we have another facility we were going to use it at, and the guy had already taken off with it, I called them and they delivered it back to me. He didn't take too long of a time and seem to be very well versed with what he was doing.

The experience with Tarvin was very good! They were so accommodating and polite. They showed great concern for making sure everything remained clean while they worked (I have white carpets in my house so stains stick out like crazy). I felt very comfortable about leaving them here for an hour all by themselves while I went to walk my dog.

He did an excellent job. He was very expensive. He could not stop our leak and it took him a very long time to do it. He charged me for the time and he charged me a lot of money, more than it should have been.

Arrived on-time. Very professional and knowledgeable. Price was fair and they were very neat and clean.

Dick Tarvin provided us with the initial estimate for the bathroom items that we wanted to upgrade. He then met us at the Tarvin showroom to pick out fixtures, counter top, water closet, shower door, etc. Once the contract was signed, Mike Tarvin accommodated our scheduling needs and set the dates for his staff and the various subcontractors to complete their part of the project. Mike was always responsive and a good communicator. The job proceeded smoothly and was completed in a little over three weeks.

I was very satisfied with all of the plumbing work. The cost was on the high side but the Tarvin plumbing company are professional, license plumbers and the work was done the right way the first time (this is what you pay for). The job was completed in a day and a half and everything was cleaned up after the work was completed and all debris was hauled away. They also do remodeling so I highly recommend them for your project.

They were excellent to work with. They were on time and very responsive to my call. I thought the price was high, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. I would recommend them to others and use them again.

Terrific. Ellis was a complete professional - called as he was leaving the office, was prompt, courteous, VERY professional in appearance and did work of the highest quality. Tarvin is the only company I'll call for plumbing needs - they've done all the work in all 4 bathrooms.

They were very responsive from the initial contact to the finished product. Phil did a great job, I think many plumbers would have said that the tile would need to be ripped out to fix the leak (and it most likely would have been the easiest way), but Phil was very patient and thorough and took his time to literally dig out the leaky faucets from the wall. It has been over 4 months since the work was done, and we have had no problems. He also put new faucets on the water spouts in the laundry room.

They were very efficient and came first thing in the morning. They were very up front with their cost and how the cost was broken down. The only thing that disappointed me was that they said that travel charges wouldn't apply and then they ended up applying. I would keep this company on our estimate list just because they were so punctual and able to work with our time frame but they aren't going to be our go to plumber. They would be in our top five.

We were very impressed with the response time and how punctual they were. They would call @ 1 hour before they were on their way the day of service. We had a transfer valve in our shower that was leaking. Our fixtures are Mohen and when they called Mohen to order the valve he was told that they no longer make our shower spa fixtures. Mohen had the part however and did not charge us for the part since their fixtures are guaranteed for life. Tarvin relayed all the information to us and only charged us for the service call to install it. We were impressed with their honesty because how would we have known that there was not a charge for the part. We would most definitely have them back for any of our plumbing problems.

My basement laundry tub was totally stopped up. When I looked below it I noticed the fittings were badly rusted as was the floor drain further out in the basement. I contacted the company about coming out to fix it but wasn't sure exactly when I'd be available. They worked around this with me. The plumber came on Friday and tried to salvage the tub while cleaning out the tub drain but determined this wasn't possible. He was back early Monday with a new laundry tub, faucet and floor drain. Everything was in place and working by Monday afternoon. He cleaned up all litter and took the old tub, drain.. with him.

Tarvin was very responsive and able to schedule an appointment for 8:00 am, the day after I called. The crew arrived on-time, made an assessment of the work and provided a general estimate before beginning. They were able to complete the repairs and get my house up and running in one day. The work was extensive as they had to remove the wall to reach and replace the pipe. Before breaking into the plaster wall they covered and protected my furniture and worked to enclose their work space to prevent dust from flowing throughout the house. They were extremely professional in both diagnosing & fixing the problem. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs plumbing work, no matter how large or small the repair.

All of Tarvin's folks were very professional and kept me informed on the progress of the job. They also worked with another contractor I hired who was finishing up the work on the shower. I felt very comfortable having Tarvin make the decisions that had to be made. They also brought in a camera crew to scope the sewer line for any other issues.

He came the same day I called, within 5 hours. He did a really good job and cleaned after himself very nicely. They remembered me because I had used him before and they were very professional and the plumber explained to me what had cause the problem.

From the initial consultation and estimate to the completion of the project, Tarvin Plumbing has exceeded all expectations. Each and every crew member who set foot into our home was professional and courteous. Mike Tarvin kept in constant contact with me throughout the project to insure that we were pleased with every step along the way. Schedule was set and adhered to throughout the project and all appointments were on time and I was called each time someone was being dispatched to the house to make sure I knew when they were coming. The craftsmanship is excellent and we couldn't be happier with the overall experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking a professional and quality bath remodel.
