I don't think there is anyone anywhere who is more conscientious and knowledgeable about boilers than Carry. He confident in what he does. When I have called other companies in the past they an more anxious about selling you a boiler first before repairing it.

Performed checks and determined the valve was clogged.

I would recommend Reading Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone in the Cincinnati area. Great service, very knowledgeable. Explained how the system worked and problems to watch for. Also explained how to manage heating and cooling in other rooms and the humidifier system which no one else had adequately explained. As a mechanical engineer, I understand the general systems, but the technician demonstrated an expertise that I really appreciated. As I mentioned earlier, since I already had the 30 min call to pay and the fix was a quick one, he service the rest of the 14 year old heating unit.

Came out when they said they would, provided a good estimate based on what was known at the time. Work was performed quickly and efficiently. I was kept informed about all the findings and status on the work performed.

He did a very fine job. He knew what he was doing. He was an "expert" on Bryant heating systems. I developed a trust relationship because he spoke honestly and forthright.

I noticed last evening when I got home that my air conditioning unit wasn't working. The temperature outside had been 90 degrees. The house was warming up and was at 81 degrees. I phoned Reading Heating & Air Conditioning at around 8:30 p.m. Their on-call service person returned my call around 10 p.m. Since the house wasn't getting warmer, I told him that I'd wait until morning and hoped that someone could come. He said he would turn in a report to the scheduler. I called the company again just before 8 a.m. and Greg Zimmer returned my call in about 15 minutes saying that he would send a man out when he reported to work around 9 a.m. By 10:30 a.m. Mr. Perkins had repaired the air conditioner and completed service on the unit for the summer. I do have a maintenance contract with Reading Heating & A/C and always receive excellent service. They are to be commended for their prompt and courteous service. I was very grateful not to have to spend a day at 90 degrees without A/C!

Work was completed with good attention to detail. The service person (Jeff) even showed me a trick I could use on a small temperature gage in the furnace that would keep it working properly without having to have a service tech come out to do repairs. (Furnace had been taking multiple ignitions to begin its burn, but the temperature gage gets dirty after a time. Dust it off and it is OK). I'd use the firm again.

I HAVE AN OLDER BOILER AND THEY COME OUT AND CLEAN IT AND DO AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HAVE HIRED OTHERS IN THE PAST AND THEY DID NOT DO THE JOB THAT THIS COMPANY DOES THEY HAVE SAVED ME MONEY. I WOULD SAY ALWAYS ASK FOR CARRY; HE DOES A GREAT JOB.

This was a disappointing experience. It's incredible to have a workman leave and have a noise that wasn't there before he serviced the furnace! The man came as scheduled. This was a routine yearly cleaning. He replaced a belt. They had replaced the belt the year before also. After he left, when I used the air, I noticed an intermittent humming. It was also there when I turned on the heat. So I called and he came back out but could find nothing. Might have been the new belt. In the course of the conversation I said "and you checked the humidifier." He said no, that would be another charge (which I would have paid.) And he left! I didn't understand why this wasn't mentioned. They had checked the humidifier the year before but now they don't? I called and a woman said the owner would call me but he didn't. This was just a hassle with them this year.

They didn't try to sell us a new unit, they just fixed it. They were very customer friendly. They were very professional.

They were prompt and courteous and did very good service.

JOB 1: TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED. CALLED IN ADVANCE TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT. HE WAS POLITE, PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. EVERYTHING ENTIRELY SATISFACTORY. JOB 2: PERFORMED THOROUGH, COMPLETE AND LENGTHY EXAMINATION OF HEATING SYSTEM, REPAIRED A DAMAGED WIRE, CLEANED AIR HUMIDIFIER, VACUUMED FURNACE, TESTED ALL EQUIPMENT.

GOOD EXPERIENCE. HAD THE SENSE THAT THIS WAS A HELPFUL TECHNICIAN REPRESENTING A SOLID, HONEST COMPANY. THEY HAD A FALL SPECIAL WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT. DIDN'T NEED ANY COUPONS, NONE OF THAT. I APPRECIATED THE OTHER INFORMATION HE GAVE ME ABOUT MY FURNACE.

THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, NICK BORNE, WAS ON TIME AND VERY COURTEOUS. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED VERY QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PRICE.

READING HEATING AND A/C WAS ON TIME ON THE DAY OF THEIR APPOINTMENT AND IMMEDIATELY COMMENCED WORK TO REPLACE THE OLD SYSTEM. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY MADE TWO VISITS TO INSPECT THE WORK BEING DONE BY THE COMPANY'S TECHNICIANS. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY AND NEATLY AND THE COMPANY WAS RESPONSIVE TO FOLLOW UP REQUESTS.

TOTALLY EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. THE OWNER MADE FOUR OR MORE TRIPS OUT... DISCUSSING WHAT WE NEEDED, SUPERVISING THE WORK, ANSWERING EVERY PHONE CALL. DID SEVERAL ADDITIONAL SERVICES AT EITHER ROCK BOTTOM COST (EXPENSE OF PARTS ONLY) OR NO ADDITIONAL COST (MORE EXTENSIVE DUCT WORK THAN EXPECTED) WHILE GETTING THE NEW AC AND FURNACE INSTALLED. WORK WAS DONE WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF OUR ACCEPTING THE BID (IT WAS SUMMER... OFF SEASON).

SERVICE PERSON WAS FRIENDLY, BUT ALL BUSINESS (WHICH IS A GOOD THING!). HE HAD THE OLD EXCHANGER OUT IN ABOUT 45 MINS, SHOWED ME THE PROBLEM AREAS, AND HAD NEW EXCHANGER INSTALLED AND FURNACE RUNNING IN ABOUT 2 HOURS OVERALL. VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THE FINAL COST CAME IN APPROX. $100 UNDER WHAT RICK ESTIMATED, WHICH BEAT THE QUOTE FOR THE SAME JOB BY ANOTHER CONTRACTOR BY APPROX. $400! I WON'T SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE FOR HVAC WORK.
