Everything from the estimate to the completion of the work went well. The technician was on time both days. I would hire them again.

We called Hilliard Electric to install an electrical box and fan in our solarium. We had a wonderful experience with this company. They set the appointment for a week later but called later in the day when they had a cancellation. They knew we were anxious to get the job done. Yance was so nice to schedule with. Joe was the electrician and he was great. He determined that the fan we had couldn't be rehung safely because the person that hung it before had stripped the bracket. We had him take the fan down and we ordered a new fan. Joe came back after we bought our new fan and hung it in an hour. It is stable and safe. He installed it with an approved fan electrical box. Joe used a drop cloth and was so respectful of us and our home. We have a beautiful wood ceiling in our solarium and we were a little worried about having it damaged. Joe did a beautiful job and protected the ceiling. He did not charge us for the service call the second time. Before the second appointment, Yance called to confirm the appointment. He also thanked us for putting our trust in them. They really appreciate the customer. We are so happy with the service we received from this company that we are ordering new outside lights and having them installed by Hilliard Electric. I will always use this company for our electric projects.

They came out to give us an estimate first. They were prompt and very courteous. He worked and efficiently. He did a great job and he was a perfectionist.

The company scheduled us within a week, apologizing profusely for the delay, but they were slammed by a lot of people in the same predicament we were. The electrician came promptly at the time scheduled, worked hard to complete as much of the work as he could. I needed to order a specific part for my lighted china cabinet that had to be shipped from California. We also needed another specific replacement part for our intercom and doorbell. As soon as I received the part from California, th electrician returned and took care of all the odds and ends. After the service we received a lovely hand written note from the service manager, thanking us for our business.

The people at Hilliard Electric were very professional. They called ahead of time to make sure we were ready before they came in. When they arrived, they did exactly what I asked them to do and they also cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again anytime.

When I originally called to make an appointment, they were booked solid, but set up a service call for the following Monday at 7 a.m. so the work would be completed before house quests arrived on Wednesday. John arrived on time. Worked quickly. Removed and replaced stripped screws on outside lamp. Moved on to assemble my ceiling fan and light, providing screws that had been left out of light kit. Had some trouble with combination fan/light wall control I had purchased. When he determined the part was defective, he wired fan and light to existing wall switches. He then went to work on adding an electrical outlet at the bottom of the stairs in the location I had requested, cleaned up, and wrote up the bill with the Angie's List discount. I paid him and he was on his way. All in less than three hours.

When he came out he fixed it the best he could. He gave me choices and said he would do whatever I wanted to do. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They are very good at what they do.

Great! The work was completed quickly and he made absolutely no mess. He even came back the next day to check on a faulty light/fan switch (which we purchased ourselves) and replaced it with one of their light/fan switches. The fans work great and we would definitely hire this company again for any other electrical needs.

This experience was great. He was neat & clean. He was on time, he worked the whole 2 hours he was here. He cleaned up after himself which a lot of workers don't. I would hire them again. The company sent me a thank you note for using their company.

I couldn't be more pleased. The phone manor was very professional when I received an estimate. They showed up on time and the technician was very nice, competent, did quality work, cleaned up and was very efficient. I will definitely contact Hilliard for any future electrical needs. It is a relief to find a company with such high standards. Also, a handwritten note thank was the icing on the cake.

The service was excellent, from the initial phone call to Yance Pyle through the end of the experience. Got service the same day. Rob, the technician was very knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful. I received 10% off labor due to the Angie's list membership. This is the first time I had used Hilliard and found them to be more friendly, affordable, and helpful than one of the other top rated electrical service providers and was maybe even more expert work than the other well known company. Everyone I spoke with from Hilliard was professional and helpful.

Overall very impressed, despite one glitch. When he was installing one of the floor plugs, his tool snagged the carpet and created a small run. I had to have that fixed. But Joe (the installer) and Yance (manager) were extremely apologetic and professional. They paid for the repair and it was not a big deal. Just one of those things that can happen and they couldn't have been better about it. They went out of their way to advise me on a part I needed but had been unaware of and got it for me. On his first visit, Joe called me to advise he would be 10 minutes late b/c he had to pick up a part and the first place didn't have it - I couldn't believe I got a call for a 10-minute delay. Very impressive. Joe was really great, very professional, friendly, did a great job. Would definitely call them again.

I can't say enough about Nelson Brothers and the plumbing company, who worked in tandem and got the job finished in remarkably short order.

Yance was out to my home two days after I called their company for help. He spent a lot of time checking every single outlet/appliance etc to find out the cause. He was extremely thorough, honest and very helpful. He finally figured it out to be a outside lamp post that was triggering the breaker. I haven't had a problem since. He was also very honest with me about questions that I had about upgrading my supply and said that I shouldn't really waste my money unless I really really wanted to do it but it would probably not be worth the expense. I'm about to call him again to come fix the lamppost problem and to check on a new property with lots of electrical problems for me.

I spent many, many hours getting estimates from different contractors because this was a major job, installing AC in a house with radiator heat. Major job. I chose the company because many east side friends kept mentioning the name, plus good reports on this site. We are pleased with the work. On some days, there were three company trucks at our house, with at least 3 guys working on the job. They stopped to answer any questions we had. Everyday the house was vacuumed clean in spots they worked. The installation took 4 days, just as promised. Watching how much work they did, I now know why these installations are so expensive, it is a major project. My only concern was prior to job, learning the company was purchased by a new owner, now known as Mortimer/Nelson Brothers. (I found most competitors have been sold over the years also) It appears the new owners want to maintain the same quality because I do not have regrets with choosing them.

They came out and gave us an estimate for a list of things we were wanting done. We ended up only doing a few of which at this time. Which they were very flexible about. We scheduled the work and they showed up on time. Despite some very bad weather the night before. The work turned out to be a little more involved than expected. There was an additional charge, but the technician explained we could use a coupon that basically covered the difference. They were very good about not causing excessive damage to the ceiling and walls. And overall did a very good job.

Fantastic! The estimate was fully detailed on the phone. The electrician was prompt, courteous, and readily communicated status and issues. He completed all the work in one day and, upon completion, cleaned up any debris in the affected areas. The job was completed on time and on budget. I was delighted with the results.

The electrician was here for a few hours and worked hard the whole time. He explained my options for solving various problems giving me the pros and cons of each. I was very happy with his work and felt the price was reasonable given the amount of work he did. I've used Hilliard a couple of other times since this first visit and I've been generally happy with them. They did charge a service charge each time, the last time I asked them to remove it because I had used them several times in a short period of time. They agreed to do so but reluctantly.

The price was stated beforehand. They were on time, very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They also gave me a 10% discount for being referred by Angie's List. It was a very positive & pleasant experience. They even hung a light in the ceiling over the sink and a shop light in the basement for me. I would absolutely hire them again.

Bill came out and did an estimate of the work. His response time was quick and their price was better than the other estimates we got for the work. He arrived on time and finished faster than estimated. Overall, the cost was less than estimated and the quality looks great.

He came on time & suggested I put the sump pump on its own circuit, which I thought was a good idea because we did have a lot of things on the basement circuit already. He finished the work within the estimated amount of time. Although it was expensive, it ended up being a little less than I thought it would be.

The work was outstanding, they charged very low prices, I absolutely love them.

EXCELLENT! I spoke with Yance, and he gave me a verbal estimate which was very reasonable compared to other bids. Rob came out the next day and did an excellent job and was extremely professional. The final cost was on the low end of the verbal bid given by Yance. I will never use another electrician again.

Got a phone estimate from Hilliard which I felt a little uncomfortable with, he asked me several questions and gave me a figure that would not be exceeded. After contacting 2 other contractors, the 1st didn't return my calls the 2nd quoted the cost of 2 men/2 days after a onsite inspection at $829.12. I called Hilliard the next day. They still had my info. even thought I had been about a month since I had contacted them (waiting on quotes from the other 2) they scheduled the work for the next day, arrived on time and finished the job in about 3 hours. He was able to do work the 2nd contractor said couldn't be done. I save about $500.

It took about 5-6 hours, the technician was very polite and professional.
