Description of Work: I have a Sony TV which periodically requires a new lamp. I purchased one off the internet and could not get it to snap into place. I went to Meineke's with the old lamp and the new one. The technician took the bulb from the new and installed it into the old receptacle. He charged me $10.00. I took it home and it snapped into place without a problem. The packaging was apparently not up to Sony's standard and he knew this from past experience, saving me about $150.00 for another lamp.

Description of Work: Picture was distorted on our 60" big screen TV. We paid over $2600 for this TV 7 1/2 years ago and were not prepared to replace it. Meineke fully understood this, came to our home, removed the interior workings of the set, repaired at their shop, returned and installed the components back into the TV. Not only did they repair the problem, they took steps in the repair so that the problem should not happen again! All of this was accomplished within 6 days of contacting them to inquire about service! Another company that we contacted told us that we would have to bring the TV to them!?! We had no way of getting this huge TV out of our downstairs family room, or of transporting it without the possibility of further damage. (We didn't know that the components could be removed and, if we did, we wouldn't know how to remove them.) We were so impressed with the friendliness, knowledge and professionalism of this company that we will purchase a new TV from them when the time comes.

Description of Work: REPAIRED TUNER AND AUDIO ON 32'' SONY TV. CAME TO HOME TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEM. HAD TO REMOVE TV FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. MEINEKE WAS ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND REPAIR PROBLEM FASTER THAN ANTICIPATED. THEY KEPT ME INFORMED DURING THIS PROCESS AND RETURNED THE TV IN TWO DAYS.

 + -1 moreTHIS COMPANY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED. (THEY HAVE EXTENDED HOURS WHICH IS NICE FOR WORKING PEOPLE.) BECAUSE IT'S A 35'' THEY ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE SET AT OUR HOME, BUT HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE SHOP FOR REPAIR. AS PROMISED THEY RETURNED THE SET WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE PRICE SEEMED A LITTLE HIGH, SERVICE CHARGE PLUS REPAIRS, BUT WE DECIDED IT WAS BETTER THAN SPENDING $1500-$2000 FOR A NEW TV. THEY WERE VERY NICE AND PROMPT. THEY ARE AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR RCA. THE EXPERIENCE WAS SO GOOD THAT WE'LL PROBABLY HAVE THEM INSTALL A SATELLITE SYSTEM. (WE'LL REPORT ON THAT LATER!)
