Unprofessional and rude guy.
Description of Work: This is totally NUTS. Companies like this should be ripped off Angie's List, else I am sure going to doubt the value of Angie's List when you can just call any provider out of the phone book. I get a call from this guy late evening, 8:20 p.m., and he is first of all being highly unprofessional and asks me how many estimates I have taken. I asked how it matters to him, and then he starts to shout that with job this small and blah blah. I am obviously angry and just hung up on him saying I don't even want his business. Such companies should be put on do not call lists.

THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THIS SITUATION WAS JUST THE OPPOSITE. I SIMPLY INQUIRED AS I DO EVERY JOB I RESPOND TO AS TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB THIS ALLOWS ME FOR REASONS KNOWN TO ME WHETHER THIS IS SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO QUOTE ON. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK QUESTIONS AND MEASURE WHAT IS GOING ON. I HAVE A RIGHT TO BOW OUT WHEN HE IS TAKING SEVERAL BIDS ON A VERY SMALL PROJECT. I CAN'T IMAGINE INSULTING SOMEONE BY ASKING SIMPLE QUESTIONS WHICH I HAVE A RIGHT TO DO. AND FORGIVE ME READERS I DON'T WANT TO SPIN MY WHEELS OR ANYONE ELSE IN THESE HARD TIMES. DID NOT CONTRACT HIS WORK
Description of Work: WOULD NOT PUT IN WRITING WORK HE PROPOSED TO DO, UNTIL AFTER SOMEONE ACCEPTED THE VERBAL CONTRACT. DIFFICULT TO COMPARE PROPOSALS THAT ARE NOT IN WRITING. STRONGLY CONSIDERED GIVING HIM THE JOB, BUT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT ACCEPTING ONLY A VERBAL CONTRACT.

IF I HAD STRONGLY FELT THAT THEY TRULY WANTED MY SERVICES, I WOULD HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WRITING UP THE ESTIMATE. 37 YEARS EXPERIENCE INDICATED THEY WERE NOT THAT INTERESTED. I ALWAYS TELL THE CUSTOMER WHAT PRODUCTS I PROPOSE TO USE AND QUOTE A PRICE BEFORE LEAVING.

DENNIS AND HIS ENTIRE TEAM WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE PREP WORK AND PAINTING. THEY WERE PROMPT AND COMPLETED THE WORK WITHIN THE STATED AMOUNT OF TIME. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE DENNIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
