Everyone was on time, everyday. They kept the dust to a minimum by hanging sheets of plastic and were careful to be tidy. All the waste and dust was thoroughly cleaned up after the job was finished. Throughout the process we were able to discuss the progress and make changes as needed (such as replacing a few floorboards and adjusting the darkness of the stain). The project was handled professionally, and everyone was personable and pleasant. The only downside was that we were required to dispose of the bags of waste, which was easy enough. We recommend using this company.

Highly recommend the use of of Tibor especially if you are dealing with older hardwood floors that were installed over 80 years ago. Tibi is a younger man with the knowledge of old world craftsmanship. Hard to find workman with his kind of knowledge today. He knows his craft and his business and cares about doing the job the right way. Will definitely recommend to others and hire again.

This is the second time we have used Tibor. Six years ago he refinished our entire 3000+ square foot, Shaker Heights, home (except the carpeted master bedroom) and this time he was back for the master. Once again, Tibby created a beautiful finish, left the home in perfect condition, and advised us well on the timeline and proper care and usage of our floors. The quality of his work is proven in our house. The rest of the floors in the house still look new and beautiful after 6 years...in spite of 2 small children in the house. Tibor is a craftsman. The quality and durability of his work are well-worth the investment in hardwood floor refinishing and the results are beautiful.

Tibby and his crew were punctual and professional. They did a good job of communicating how the process would work and their worksmanship was excellent. They started Tuesday morning and finished Friday afternoon and the floors look great. I scheduled this work the same week that I had a business trip so I didn't have to worry about fumes during application...I had a family member let Tibby in each morning and he locked the door each evening. I'm glad I had it done and I wish that all contractors were as professional and courteous as Tibby.

First of all Tibi was there when he said he would be from the initial estimate to the final cleanup. The job took just under two weeks to complete and that was exactly what he said it would be up front. His estimate on the purchased flooring was within 25 square feet, we had one unopened box remaining which was quite good considering that we used 4 different board widths on our floor. The price he quoted for the labor was exactly what we paid, not $1 over. The only extra costs, which were specified up front, were the cost for the molding and vents which Tibi produced the actual receipt and did not charge any premium for. Tibi typically worked with two other craftsmen and they were just as polite and professional as Tibi himself. I have never had such a good experience with a tradesman as I did with Tibi. He bent over backwards to make sure everything was to our exact specifications. I like to oversee the work in my house and Tibi patiently explained everything that was being done. Tibi and his crew is one of the few craftspeople that I felt perfectly comfortable leaving in the hose alone. One of the most impressive things about Tibi was his knowledge of his own limitations. We had a particularly difficult stairway that we wanted to match the floors. He said up front that he did not have alot of experience with stairs and asked if it was OK that he bring in an expert that he sometimes worked with. he did not increase the price because of this and I suspect he took a bit of a loss on it so he could learn a new skill. The expert was as professional as the rest of the crew and the stairs look unbelieveable. People who come into our house all comment that the floors look like they have always been here. Tibi's crew cleaned up every piece of dust, nail and stick of wood from the site EVERY day. Each night it looked like the job was complete. The one room we did not do was the kitchen as we thought we would leave it as it was because of the cabinets, now, after the way the rest of the house came out, we cannot wait to have Tibi back to do that room as well. The quality of this hand scraped locally harvested hickory is just tremendous! Their prices although not low, were very fair and competitive with flooring from other companies that was not close the quality of what we got from Sheoga.

We joined Angie's List specifically for this big job, and it was well worth it. Tibi's referrals did him justice and we are pleased to now be among his admirers. He was low pressure when we first met, and gave us ideas on where to shop for the hardwood eventually selected. He takes no margin on the flooring itself, passing the invoice directly to the customer for payment to him after his delivery about a week before install. This enabled us to pick exactly what we wanted and have him deliver it on time. On the day of the install, he showed up with a very experienced, polite, and dedicated crew. They were in and out in a day and a half, and they professionally prepared the baseboard and new quarter-round for a coat of paint (took me about an hour). Tibi does not advertise and has kept busy during these past couple tough economic years because people will support and pay for old-world workmanship quality.

Tibor and his crew have done work for me before. Again, they were pleasant and easy to talk to; they are efficient at each stage of the process; they thoroughly clean up and give clear directions about the dos and don'ts of floor care. Our floors look amazing and I wish I had taken "before" pictures to show the beautiful results.

Timely, professional and good communication

I couldn't be more pleased with the job Tibbi and his crew performed. I live in a 100 year old house with hardwood floors on the complete first floor. Tibbi was punctual and professional in every aspect -- from initial contact and quoting, subsequent questions and job changes and finally the actual work performed. This job was performed in conjuction with a kitchen remodel and Tibbi was accomodating in his schedule and the sequence of sanding/refinishing to allow for cabinet installation during the middle of the process. I am very pleased with the end result.

They were on time. They were clean and professional. They were also respectful and truthful. They really did the job right, and at a reasonable price. I'd use them again.

We were delighted with the results. The guys arrived early, worked quickly and cleaned up after. The room is an irregular shape, with a stone fireplace that Tibby had to cut around. He took so much time to make sure that it was perfect.

You can't believe how terrible the floors were before he came. We had huge black water stains. In most of the first floor, the finish was completely gone (or maybe never there). Tibor came in and refinished them all. They look fantastic. Tibor is extremely careful and professional. He arrives on time and does an excellent job. He gives thorough explanations and honest assessments. I would recommend Tibor to even the most critical customer. I can't say enough good things about him.

When they came out to do the quote they were thorough and timely. They seemed to know what he was doing and explained what would need to be done and why.

We couldn't be happier with the result or with Tibor's professionalism. He and his crew were very professional and punctual. He was very flexible with our schedules. The result is fantastic. The floors are beautiful. He did a wonderful job of matching the finish to the floors in the adjoining rooms. We absolutely would hire him again and would recommend him to anyone.

Tibor did the installation for us. His crew helped. They were professional, prompt and true craftsmen. The floors are beautiful and there was no mess.

My experience with him was superb overall. We weren't home when he did the job because it is a messy job but the floors are immaculately done. He is a very trustworthy person. He and his brother Victor are very circumspect, discrete & gave assurance to the way they would manage access to my home so I had no worries at all having them in my home while I was away. He was always careful to maintain approval for some previously undisclosed repairs in the floor. He communicated very carefully to obtain authorization for those repairs. The main thing I should say is that the floors are absolutely beautiful.

Needed all wood floors in home refinished, approximately 1200 sq. ft. Before sanding the floors, Tibor sealed off rooms that were not included in work area so that they would not receive any sanding "fallout." The crew sanded and refinished the floors and installed new molding where needed. The floors look great! And there is not a speck of dust anywhere. They were punctual, professional and hardworking. I highly recommend Sandman.

Tibor wrote an estimate for the work in August. He arrived early for the estimate appt. and was the cheapest of the 3 that I called. The work on the 2 rooms took 3 days as he explained clearly in his written estimate. He and his workers came exactly when they said and they did an excellent job on the whole. Only complaints: one nail was left half in at the edge of the floor and the wall. In the process of removing it ourselves with needle-nose pliers, some of the finish came off very easily. We hope that the rest of the floor will not be so vulnerable. A few splatters of polyurethane can be seen on the wall and a door frame which we are in the process of sanding and touching up. Some carpet fibers are stuck to the edge of the floor and baseboards with the coat of polyurethane. Most likely they will not be visible once we move back our furniture into the room.

We were very impressed. Tibor replied to my phone message promptly and came to our home for an estimate. He described the sanding, staining and coating procedure in detail. He had good suggestions about choosing a stain color. He told us that the sanding process would lighten the pet-stained areas but that they might still be somewhat darker than the rest of the floor; he suggested choosing a darker stain color to camouflage those areas. After reviewing the estimate, we scheduled the work. Tibor returned my calls promptly and advised us of the date he could schedule the work. Tibor and his two employees arrived on time. The whole process took two days (he had estimated it would take two-three days). The men worked well, taped plastic over doorways to minimize the spread of dust and cleaned up very well. The floor is beautiful - the color is great, and the grain of the wood is highlighted so well. The pet stains disappeared. The transformation of the floor is amazing!

He comes on time and does the work when he says he will. He does great work and cleans up well when he is finished.

RECOMMENDED BY REALTOR WHO SOLD US OUR HOUSE. VERY NICE GUY. QUALITY OF WORK WAS GOOD. PUT UP PLASTIC IN DOORWAYS TO PREVENT SAND FROM GETTING INTO OTHER ROOMS. CLEANED UP NICELY AFTER EACH DAY.
