There were 4 area rugs that were totally wet. They informed me that they did not have the equipment to dry them out here so the only option was for them to take the rugs to their facility to dry and clean them. That part of the service cost $399 which could have been avoided if they had the proper equipment to dry the rugs here. They left a dehumidifier and blower for 3 days and that cost $839. The remainder of the fee $250 was to remove a baseboard and clean up. With tax the total was $1,618.00 which I thought was very expensive. Another problem came when I scheduled to have the rugs returned. I was given a 2-hour window (10-12) on Thursday April 13. By 1:30 no one showed up or called so I called them. The person in the office told me he would check and get back to me. By 3:30 no one showed up or called me back so I called them again. I was informed that the rugs had been delivered, however for some reason, they knocked on my door rather than ringing the bell but we didn't hear the knock. They left the rugs in the driveway outside my garage door. I think they should have at least called at that point to let me know that the rugs were in fact delivered. When we took the rugs inside we realized that the non-skid padding was missing from two of the rugs. Overall not a good experience.

Abe and his team were very professional, courteous and polite, communicating everything that needed to be done throughout the whole process and assisting us with dealing with the insurance company. The standard of work was very high and completed by the estimated date, and we are very happy with the end result. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: After suffering from a flood in our new condo due to a faulty dishwasher we called ASAP restoration to assess the damage and figure out what work needed to be done. Abe from ASAP showed up promptly, thoroughly tested for moisture and explained clearly what work was necessary. They removed all the damaged areas of ceiling, drywall etc. and installed industrial fans and dehumidifiers until the place was dried out, then replaced all the damaged areas and installed a new sub-floor and hardwood floor.

We hired ASAP Restoration due to a flooded basement because of a sump pump failure. Abe from ASAP promised us that he will do all the work for $1100 it will take 3-4 days for the carpet to dry. Unfortunately our second pump failed again and when Abe came second day, he said that he will charge us another $900 to dry the floor and carpet although he already had all of his equipment already there. We agreed and he assured us that he will complete all the work and will save the carpet and the padding and will do everything necessary as per the standard to dry the floor and the walls. During this time, we weren't sure if the insurance will cover the cost, so we paid ASAP via our credit card, they charged us the full $2000 the second day of the service. ASAP never gave us any written quote detailing the service they will do, nor did they give us any invoice after charging us. The next Monday, the 29th, we learned that our insurance will cover the charge and would need an invoice from the the service company to ensure everything was done as per their requirement. Abe, the technician from ASAP who was handling the work told us that he will charge more and work differently if insurance is involved. Surprised, we did ask him what is it that he has not done so far, he did not give us any details just said that insurance will cover everything; i believe at this point he realized that he can extract more money from the insurance company since they had a max claim amount of 5000$, so he wanted to add more to the initial amount of $2000. We tried to have the insurance adjuster and ASAP have a conversation and make sure all the work ASAP was doing was as per the insurance requirements. During the whole week from 29th Feb to 5th March, Saturday, Abe never went back to the house to check on the basement, whether everything has dried or not. He came back on Sunday, the 6th of March without informing us, and told us that the padding is wet, and he will need another $900 to remove the padding. At this point we were sure that we cannot trust Abe and told him that we don't want to continue. Abe was so unprofessional that he just stormed out angrily taking all his equipment with him, he knew it was Sunday and leaving the place without any fans would cause more damage to the floor and carpet. We hired another company to restore our basement on Sunday, the 6th of March, and after evaluation, this is what they had to say. During a restoration, the place should be checked daily, not left unattended for 7 days that ASAP did. If the padding could not be dried the 2nd or 3rd day, it should be discarded, there is no way to save it, any professional water restoration company would know that. We had to pay much more to the new company who not only had to throw our carpet and padding but also cut the walls, because of the negligence that ASAP restoration showed with our basement. Abe from ASAP restoration not only kept us in the dark about the whole thing but also blamed us at the end for not acting by not letting them do the work which they meant not pay them extra money after 7 days of their work which produced no result. I just hope no one has to go through the treatment we went through especially when you think you are paying a professional that you think you can trust. I will not recommend ASAP restoration, and would strongly advise not to hire this company. I am also going to report this company to the BBB because of the way they handled the quote, the invoicing and everything.
